I'm 23 years old, 5'6, and 225lbs. Over the last few years, my breasts have grown from a 36K to their current 38N. I have tried losing weight in hopes that my breast size will lower, but they have not. They have gotten to the point where even in the right size bra, their weight still causes my bra straps to dig in causing grooves. Is it possible to have them reduced down to a G cup from my current size?
Answer: Will it be possible for me to go from a 38N down to a G cup? Hello @TiWill, thank you for your question. Your mammary tissue is probably predominantly gland, that is way even if you lower your weight the breast stays almost the same. In a breast reduction, the breast tissue volume is reduced in different segments. Depending on the surgical technique developed by the specialist, and depending on the shape of the breast, a greater reduction will be made on one side than on the other to achieve the best aesthetic result, which is not on a whim but is in accordance with an anatomical relationship between the arm, torax and breast proyection. A consultation is vital to establishing a surgical plan that meets your needs, meets your expectations, and takes into account what is possible. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Surgery Yes, you should be able to go down to a G cup or even a little smaller. Insurance will probably cover your surgery as well. Have your primary care physician refer you to a plastic surgeon.

Answer: Breast reduction Hello and thank you for your question! I understand you are experiencing many detrimental symptoms related to the size of your breasts. In my opinion judging from your photos, you would need a breast reduction with free nipple grafts due to the very large size of the breasts. This method can help you reduce down to a size that will fit your frame appropriately. The downsides of the free nipple graft are loss of function/sensation of the nipple and likely pigment changes of the areola while healing.

Answer: Breast reduction Thank you for your question and photos! From your pictures, you are a breast reduction candidate, however, the amount removed depends upon what the surgeon feels is safest to maintain adequate blood flow to the tissue. It is best to schedule an in-person exam with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss a surgical plan. Best of luck!

Answer: Breast reduction An in person evaluation is best to give you an idea of what you can expect in terms of results. You appear to be a good candidate for this procedure and regardless what the cup size ultimately is, you should have significant improvement from a reduction. The next step is to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you.
