I'm a 38 yr old mom of 3, have struggled with weight loss (yo-yo) for the last 7 years, my current weight is 210 lbs, I've recently lost 25 lbs and will continue to plug away!! Am I a candidate for a mommy makeover or just a TT or anything at all? Thank you in advance.
Answer: Surgery Yes, you are a candidate. But, I suggest waiting until you have reached your weight loss goal and then have surgery.

Answer: Good candidate? Thanks for the question. From your photos I would give you a preliminary thumbs up for mommy makeover. However, this is one that requires a detailed physical examination and history by a board certified plastic surgeon to really be sure. I wish you the best of luck, I am sure you will be happy.

Answer: Mommy makeover Thank you for your question and congratulations on the weight loss! You are a great candidate for a mommy makeover including a breast lift and tummy tuck. You do have some intra abdominal fat which is fat that you will continue to lose during your weight loss journey. I tell all my patients to try to get as close to your weight goal before surgery. Typically within 20lbs or so. I would recommend speaking with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate and discuss your options and answer any questions. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Age 38, mom-of-3, 210lbs, am I a candidate for a mommy makeover? Hello @Sensible37278, thank you for your question. Every practice has different requirements for performing a Tummy tuck or a surgical procedure. BMI is one of them, not everything depends on this factor but it helps analyze how risky and optimal the surgery can be. An optimal BMI is 30 for surgery. I suggest you continue to keep lowering your weight and eating healthy so you can maintain your figure after the procedure and have excellent results in the long run. t is important that you have a consultation with a board certified specialist to determine a surgical plan according to your needs. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Mommy makeover Thanks for your question! I don't think you are there just yet. Your side angle looks like you have a combination of two things happening: a diastasis recti (from the babies) and intrabdominal fat (fat that's under the muscle wall). Unfortunately, we can't address the latter with a tummy tuck. The only way to eliminate that fat is with diet and exercise. Keep going on your weight loss journey and I'm sure you will get there soon. Good luck!
