How much pain can i realistically expect having all these procedures done at once and how long will it take before i can expect to feel somewhat like myself. Answer: Recovery After multiple procedures it is common and expected to feel some discomfort in the days immediately following surgery. Typically patients are given narcotic based medication to manage their pain and I often administer a pain medication during surgery called Exparel that helps with pain management for the first few days. Positioning for comfort is also helpful. Typically patients are back to work if they work outside the home after about two weeks. I encourage you to speak with your surgeon about your concerns.

Answer: How much pain should I realistically expect after combination procedures? Hello, And thank you for the question. The pain level after combination of those procedure is typically moderate, but pain tolerance is very subjective to each patient. Prescription pain medications and muscle relaxers can certainly help. Good luck with your upcoming surgery. Dr. Irena KaranetzBreast Fellowship-TrainedBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon
