I am short and concerned with how a faja will fit after a tummy tuck and breast lift with implants. Concern is I am only 5ft tall and when I wear a faja it rubs underneath my breasts where the incision for my breast lift is. Any suggestions?
Answer: Garments I would suggest going to Shapers and be measured and fitted. they have a nice variety of sizes for all types of women. If need, turn the excess upper faja down off the breasts or get a body suit.

Answer: 5ft tall & concerned how faja will fit after tummy tuck & breast lift with implants - suggestions? Hello @919281 thank you for your question. I suggest you ask your specialist, because the compression garment depends of multiple things among other the doctor's surgical technique and the type of equipment used to perform the surgery. According to the clinical criteria is the level of compression of the girdle and the period of use. Is important that you take into account that inadequate compression can generate more inflammation. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Possible ideas for managing garment I am glad you are being proactive in your recovery. Each plastic surgeon has their own protocols to get the best results, so I would start with talking with your plastic surgeon. Things that he/she might suggest are to cut the garment if possible, placing gauze/pads against your incisions, or putting on the faja over a t-shirt to protect your incisions.

Answer: Compression I encourage you to speak with your surgeon about your concern. If you have already purchased your compression garment you should try it on to see how it fits. Your surgeon can advise you on alternate garments if needed.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear 919281, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.
