Breast augmentation scheduled for next Thursday (so in 9 days). Yesterday symptoms began including stuffy, runny nose (clear drainage) and scratchy throat. I went to my PCP today and she agreed just allergies. No known fevers. She said continue Allegra and began using Flonase. Is Allegra and Flonase okay to use up until surgery or do these need to be stopped a week prior? My fear is if I stop them this might turn into an infection. Thoughts?

Hello.
Thank you for your inquiry and congratulations on your surgery!
It is important to have an in-person medical assessment with both your surgeon as well as your gynecologist regarding this issue as it is difficult to determine virtually.

. It is difficult to tell from the photographs however, if you have had breast augmentation surgery recently and have any concern regarding infection, you should contact your physician. Sending a photograph, as you did here, can also be very helpful to your surgeon. Good luck.
Unfortunately it's hard to tell cuz your pictures are a little hazy . I recommend you follow your surgeon's advice give it some time and see if it resolves ..Best Regards Dr Michael Gartner
