I treated myself to a facelift for my 70th birthday. Needless to say, as 8 years passed I noted that I really needed another appointment on the table. My previous Dr only does Noses now, so I asked him for a recommendation. His recommendation was Dr Samuel Beran at 440 Mamaroneck Avenue Harrison, NY. I had my first consult with Dr Beran well over a year ago. Due to personal circumstances that happened I was not able to have the surgery at that time. After things calmed down I did book my lift for January 4, 2023. I am so very pleased with all aspects of the surgery. Dr Beran is a most talented and caring physician. His Surgical Suite is clean and well kept. The nurses and anesthesia where terrific. I am thrilled with my results I will post pictures Purrrfectly Happy
Ok I’m officially nervous!!! I’m scheduled to have a breast aug and mastopexy on March 28th. A week and a half!!! Omg. I can’t believe I’m actually going through with this. Everything is paid in full and I’ve picked up my meds. Why am I freaking out now??? I have pretty decent boobs that look amazing in a bra but I miss my pre-baby boobs. Breast feeding literally sucked the life out of them! I was a full C cup before my daughter. I went up to a DD while breast feeding and then dropped to a deflated B when I stopped. It was horrible. I loved my boobs. Over the years my breasts have filled out a little more. I’m currently wearing a 32DD in VS bras but their sizing is off. I don’t feel like a DD and when the bra comes off I am not impressed. I’ve been told “You don’t need that [RS bleep]!” Lol. I don’t care. I’m doing this for me. I want to feel confident with and without a bra. I want to look like I did in College and have the option to wear backless tops or dresses. Any tips you ladies can provide will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!! Updated on 28 Mar 2018: I made it!! I had to check in at 6:30a and I believe the surgery was scheduled for 7:30. Dr. Beran was awesome. We met before surgery to take some pics. He made all of his markings on my breasts and measured both sides. The anesthesiologist was great. He was charismatic and helped calm my nerves before I knocked out from the meds. So happy that I went with this facility. The entire staff was friendly. My nurse was knowledgeable about the procedure and really sweet. Her name is Samantha. I am so grateful for her. She assisted me in getting dressed and checked on me often until my ride arrived. Updated on 28 Mar 2018: I’m really sore. I was prescribed pain meds, a muscle relaxer and an antibiotic. I was told to sleep on my back but I feel soooo much pressure when I lay flat. I’m using a bunch of pillows to prop me up. That definitely helps. It hurst getting out of the bed so I kinda just roll out. Lol. I woke up fine from surgery. I didn’t throw up and wasn’t dizzy. Just really tired. However, when I was home I got really woozy and nauseous. My face felt hot and I started to sweat. I really thought I was going to pass out. I ate a few blueberries quickly thinking that it may be my sugar dropping bc all I ate was crackers after surgery. That worked briefly and then I felt extremely nauseous again. I was on the bathroom floor thinking this is it. Anxiety kicked in. It felt like the end. Dramatic. I know Lol. Then it just went away. No dizziness. My face was cool again and I wasn’t nauseous any longer. So weird! My friend thinks that was from the anesthesia. I had a large soup and I started to drink the broth. I felt ok so I proceeded to guzzle the rest. I felt sooooo much better. I’m doing pretty good now. Let’s see how tomorrow goes... Updated on 29 Mar 2018: I was doing so well and then I don’t know what happened. I was eating dinner and stopped midway bc I thought I was going to throw up. I felt super nauseous for about 30 min. I kept up with my meds but I was in serious pain last night. It hurts when I lay down flat. I propped myself up with about 5 pillows and was still uncomfortable. I woke up throughout the night to take my meds. I’m extremely sore. I can’t wait for this part of recovery to be over. I also have a low tolerance for pain so I’m definitely going through it. Updated on 30 Mar 2018: I don’t have much pain today. I spoke to Dr. Beran and he said I should double up on the pain meds. That has definitely helped. I just have discomfort today and I’ve been pretty nauseous after every meal. I finally got to shower and remove the gauze. I was instructed to use bacitracin on top of the steri strips and continue wearing the surgical bra. I have A LOT of bruising. I also have sensation in my left nipple but none in my right. I hope that isn’t permanent. I thought my boobs looked huge when I first got home but now I feel like they should be a little bigger. I know that I should expect my breasts to change. I’m so impatient. Lol Updated on 30 Mar 2018: Some pics I showed before surgery. I like the fullness Updated on 30 Mar 2018: My left breast is more swollen compared to the right breast. I was told a little lipo was performed on that breast bc it was bigger than my right side. I also have swelling/tenderness going down the middle of my chest. Updated on 31 Mar 2018: Today has been pretty good. My bottom is sore... probably from sitting too much. Lol I’m still feeling nauseous but making sure I stay hydrated. I’m going to upload pics I took earlier. Updated on 31 Mar 2018: I have Allergan Natrelle Inspira 485cc Style SRF (Smooth shape, Round shape, Full projection). I can’t wait until they drop and fluff. I forgot I have an event to attend soon and I’m really hoping they get better by then. Updated on 5 Apr 2018: I had my post-op today. Dr. Beran said everything looks great. The bruising and swelling is normal. I have to continue wearing the surgical bra. Bummer. Lol I’m also not allowed to start massaging them yet. I have another follow up in 2 weeks. I’ll keep you all posted. I will try to upload photos in the morning. Updated on 11 Apr 2018: The pain has become much more manageable. I’m back at work so I can’t take meds during the day. I usually feel really sore by the nighttime so I take a muscle relaxer and pain meds to get some sleep. I tend to get sharp pangs of pain out of nowhere. A friend of mine said those are my nerves waking back up. I still don’t have much sensation in my right nipple. I’m hoping that gets better. It feels so weird when I touch it. I have my 2nd follow-up on Monday. Updated on 21 May 2018: So I’m almost 2 months post op. I think I still have some swelling in my left boob. I wish both nipples were identical but I know it’s hard to tell the final outcome. I have a few hard stitches that need to dissolve but that takes time. Once that occurs then everything should settle. I was given the ok to wear a regular bra. Finally! Lol I went to VS and was sized at a 34/36 DDD. Before surgery I was wearing a 32 DD so I went up about one full cup size. I didn’t go crazy bc my doctor said I won’t really know my size until about the 3 month mark but I’m hoping they stay this size. I’m also massaging them daily and applying a skin recovery gel with Silicone, Vitamin E and Arnica. I love the shape of my breasts. I can’t wait to wear a swimsuit this summer. Lol My doctor is amazing. I will definitely continue to update RS. Updated on 10 Oct 2018: So I haven’t updated my review in a while but things are going great. My breast have dropped significantly compared to post-surgery in March. I’m still using the silicone gel to help lighten the scar around each nipple. My breasts looked great this summer in a swimsuit however, my feelings would often change. Some days I think they’re too big and other times I feel like they’re the perfect size. I know it takes some getting used to. I’m not used to the attention in that area. However, everyone says they look great. They also feel so soft and natural. Dr. Beran did an amazing job.
I had my breast surgery back in 2010 and I was very pleased with the surgery. I had them done because my I had my daughter in 2002 and she left my breast flat. Now that I had twins going back to have them removed and put in new ones. Waiting to loose some more baby weight before the procedure but I was so happy with the service I received back then. I had my surgery in the mammaroneck office. Def recommend him. Will post again after I have mines redone.
Dr Beran and his entire staff were amazing. I am 39 have two kids and decided it was time to do something for me. I am 5,8 120lbs and barely fit into a size A. I have been self conscious my entire life. I went with 325CC under the muscle silicone and love the results. I am a bit of a baby when it comes to pain so my recovery was a little longer then normal but it was all worth it. I highly recommend Dr Beran
I just had a breast reduction yesterday and the staff's bedside manner was extremely amazing! I was nervous coming in but they make you feel so comfortable and relaxed. They were so helpful and patient. Dr. Beran is awesome. He's very professional and a very nice man. I would highly recommend them based on their bedside manner and professionalism alone.
I am thrilled to say that I had a great surgical experience with Dr. Beran. He performed my breast augmentation on December 16th of last year. The whole process was very easy, from start to finish. Beginning with my consultation, Dr. Beran was so detail oriented and thorough. He works hard to make sure that your needs are carefully addressed and that you are comfortable moving forward each step of the way. A friend had been kind enough to recommend Dr. Beran, which then led me to online research about the surgeon. I quickly knew that Dr. Beran had an exemplary reputation and was the experienced, well-respected surgeon I needed. I have two kids, and gravity had taken its toll on my breasts over the years. After my surgery, my breasts now look like they did when I was 25. Their size is just right, not too big or too small. No one would know they are not real. I cannot give Dr. Beran a high enough recommendation. If you are thinking about plastic surgery, you will be in good hands with Dr. Beran.
Finding a doctor i can trust. I have two doctors in mind for my surgery. I called dr Greenwald first because he answered me right away and i have a friend who had a b.a. with him. Another dr i was looking into Dr Beran is his partner and his secretary called me back faster so i booked with him first. I wanted to meet both of them and decide but it seems like Dr Greenwald is much harder to get into booking his consultation a month out. I would like to have the surgery done by end of April. I don't know what to do because i can't schedule with Dr G until i see Dr Beran because they are in the same practice.. how do i decide?! Dr Greenwald has a better presence here on realself but maybe I'll like Dr Berans work in person?? How did everyone pick their surgeon? Updated on 30 Mar 2017: I have been reading these forums for a lot of research and so I'm hoping to give back. I had my consultation with my first doctor Dr Beran. He has a lot of experience, a good reputation, and i liked his work. During our consultation we looked at photos and talked about my desired look. I put on a gown and he examined my breasts to see what he was working with lol. Im a 34 A. I would like to be a D. He said because i breastfed and didn't have a lot of sagging and stretchmarks, but still got big, i could most likely get to a D. I tried on a 450cc sizer and that's what we decided the end choice would be around 450cc high profile silicon under the muscle. And that was it . We didn't do much measuring which is a little worry some to me but I'm assuming since he has so much experience and knows the look im going for that he can just tell by looking at me. Then we talked to the patient coordinator who was very nice and put the down payment and booked the surgery for April 24th. No need to look elsewhere i felt good about Dr Beran!! Updated on 1 Apr 2017: So after my consultation and just browsing these forums im afraid 450 cc will be not enough. Im comfused because during my consultation my doctor didn't do any measurements which i was fine with because i figured the more experience you could just look and tell if an implant will fit, but i almost wish he measured me. From what I'm looking at on here going from an Acup to a D cup i have to have around 500cc. He recommended 450 i dont think he likes to do bigger implamts as he said 450 is really big. I almost think I should do 500 if it can fit. Im currently 5'6 34 A 150 lbs. Not exactly sure what i should do i dont want to regret not getting big enough implants and i also dont want to risk complications or crazy looking breasts. Updated on 2 Apr 2017: Found a photo of my personal unicorn implants. Im still very confused why some people get high profile and some get moderate plus. Can someone help me with this please?? I saw another girls profile who was Also around the same weight as me get moderate plus.. i guess these are questions i need to ask my dr. Should i make a second consultation?? Updated on 6 Apr 2017: I scheduled a second consultation with my doctor to ease my mind about the size. I mean this is such a personal important thing to get right so i figured trying on sizers and getting.a 3D image will help settle My thoughts. That apt will be exactly a week before surgery!! This upcoming Monday i go for my pre op physical which is scheduled 14 days exactly before surgery!! Im less then 3 weeks out!! Looking for some insight on essentials to stock up on if anyone can direct me to a list Eeeeee!! Its happening! Updated on 18 Apr 2017: I scheduled a second consultation with Dr Beran because the more research I've done the more i know i want something closer to the 500cc range. He explained to me he doesn't like to measure in advance and decide on ccs because he goes off of how they look on the table!! That's a lot of trust when you are ocd about details like this!! So we went through photos and he explained that 500ccs were very large and people regret it and i told him i am definitely not that person and i would rather be on the larger side and worry about a lift later. I'm not going for a natural look or even a average size look. He told me he's done that large before and it most likely can be done but won't know until surgery day when he puts in sizers. I found a girl on here that went from my size to exactly what i want with 500ccs . I understand everyone has different outcomes but if i can even get close to her results id be thrilled. I'm bringing a photo for my dr on operating day.Less then one week away!! The countdown begins! Updated on 22 Apr 2017: Starting to feel anxious about every thing. Wondering if my dr can make it happen ..will i love them... i think the only reason i might not is if i think they are too small. Starting to freak out that I'm one day away. Really hope my dr can fit 500cc or more since i think that's what its going to take to get the look i want. He seemed to like more of a natural look but was open to the fact that i wanted a larger "d size" appearance. I just hope all goes well in that direction. I'm more nervous about them being smaller then what i wanted then the pain lol ... so horrible! Got all of my necessities done Cleaned house top to bottom Went grocery shopping Got antibacterial soap to wash and stool softener Did all laundry Tomorrow I'm going to meal prep for the week and tie up lose ends like clean sheets floors ect Moving things lower so i don't need to reach ...putting meds on night stand. Going to find a neck pillow tomorrow I think I've watched every prep video on you tube and researched too much on the internet. Again anxious about the size praying they come out as big as when i was breastfeeding or a bit bigger! Please fit !!lol Updated on 24 Apr 2017: Surgery went well. The staff was amazing!!! The anesthesiologist was really funny and took my nerves Down a notch. I went into the room laid on the table got really nervous then i was out! Don't really remember waking up at all. Dr beran delivered on my wishes for 500cc and gave me 525 cc. I don't have any nausea which is great because i was nauseous going in. Pain is not too horrible but it does feel very tight pain at a 7 and I'm going to stay on top of these meds. All in all a great experience with dr beran and staff and i can not wait to get through the next few weeks of recovery to see my final result. Updated on 25 Apr 2017: Will post after photos tomorrow after a shower . I haven't even taken the surgical bra off at all. My right implant feels like its more in my armpit then my left one and my left one feels higher. Could this be from swelling? I called my dr to ask but it was busy. Left a voicemail. I noticed how important it is to keep up with the pain meds. I think my body metabolizes them fast because at 3 hours i feel them wearing off and the pain goes from like a 4 to a 8.5 where i can't move much. They look so much smaller then i expected 525cc to look like but I'm assuming that's because my skin and muscle needs to stretch out more . I don't feel like these muscle relaxers are working much even my neck feels tense. Hopefully the dr gets back to me soon on the few questions i have. Updated on 25 Apr 2017: Sometimes i hear a gurgling noise when moving . I read on here its normal. Anyone know what it is? Updated on 25 Apr 2017: So this morning i called with some questions and the manager called back. I was worried because one implant felt higher and the right one felt more in my armpit and she said its normal for them to feel "off" as long as there is no visible size differences or warm to touch with fever. She also told me not to lay flat on back only 45 degree angle and today would be the worst day like you got hit by a bus. Its definitely more swelling I'm swelling around my armpits and i think the bloating set in today not too bad though. I took stool softners the night before surgery and the night of surgery and today so I'm hoping it helps with bloating. I don't have much of an appetite but I've been eating small snacks. The swelling hurts and i wish i could ice my chest but they don't recommend it so I'm not going to. Hoping to get some rest and sleep in tomorrow. Updated on 26 Apr 2017: Today i woke up very stiff and in pain everyone calls this "morning boob" took a pain pill and muscle relaxer and so much better then yesterday! I can move more and i think I'm going to just take tylenol during the day and the pain pills when i wake up and before bed. I'm very puffy today and retained a ton of water. My breasts are still in my armpits and cone shaped. I took a shower today and it felt so good! I am ocd about showers i take 2 a day usually so i hated that i couldnt shower. My incisions are so small i feel like for getting 525ccs. I'm very happy with my dr so far. I was just laughing in my head i was all drugged up after anesthesia and i asked him if he could fit more. He was probably like this crazy girl thinking he put enough. I love the size they are now and I'm hoping its not just swelling as i see a lot of people love size and once swelling goes down they wish they went bigger. I don't think i had much of an option to go bigger but I'm sure after seeing them I'm going to love them after the "drop and fluff" i do feel like my myscles are pushing them down and into my armpits and there's a lot of swelling under arm pits. Other then that swelling the pain is not bad today and i can't wait for them to drop! Updated on 27 Apr 2017: Woke up today stiff again and in the middle of the night in pain at 2am but took 2 tylenol and went back to bed. This morning i took the muscle relaxer and a pain pill although i don't think ill need any thing but Tylenol for the rest of the day. Wore the post op bra to bed and pretty much all the time And they dropped a little today. I feel like the size is perfect. I can see the final result will be good. I am so happy i went to Dr. BERAN. FINGERS CROSSED RECOVERY HAS BEEN A BREEZE SO FAR! Still a little bloated but going back to low carb today and they are still spread apart a little but they are dropping nicely. I think faster because when i breastfed they were around this size. No regrets so happy! Updated on 28 Apr 2017: Went to my first post op appointment today . Every thing going very smoothly. Got a few noticeable stretch marks so I'm hoping to God they stop . Dr said i could take off surgical bra and wear none if i want. So im wearing large size bralettes from vs. So happy so far! Dr also showed me massaging but was to painful to start today but i know what to do when the pain is less. Also can do light things.. vacuum dishes ect Updated on 29 Apr 2017: Still super high and tight so hard to squeeze together my muscle also hates me. Off pain meds but could really use muscle relaxers as the stretching and squeezing is mostly what's causing discomfort. Only had 5 days worth and the office is closed so I'm probably going to call Monday if it's still an issue. I'm definitely not the tuff it out type.. pain isnt to bad except am and sometimes pm. Updated on 29 Apr 2017: I feel like my implants the base isn't really wide and look a tad pointy when they drop and settle out do they widen?? Updated on 30 Apr 2017: When did everyone go bra shopping? Does size change a lot When implants settle and swelling decreases? Updated on 1 May 2017: Today is one week since surgery. A lot of the swelling went down they are slowly dropping. One thing i am hoping is that they come more together as they drop into the pocket i stressed that to my surgeon i did not want implants far apart from each other i guess i wanted "tighter cleavage" . I know theres only so much you can do with the way your body is already shaped but hoping the gap lessens . It's about 3 of my fingers ( i have larger fingers) i guess only time will tell. Got a few bras yeserday and got fitted for the mean time at victoria secret and im a 32ddd or a 34 dd hoping they don't change much in size as they "drop and fluff" because i don't want to be larger then traditional bra size. But it's so funny because when i look at them proportioned to my body i feel like they don't look big at all. I'm so happy i asked to go larger i think i would have been upset if they were smaller. Now i can't wait to get back into the gym so i can make my body smaller so they look bigger lol life goals. Anyways hopefully they "fluff out" and widen more but even if they don't I'm so happy i actually have breasts. I feel so much more feminie and beautiful ? Updated on 1 May 2017: Anyone else driving themself crazy with what ifs, what's happening and is it ok... ? Or am I the only crazy one out there. I hate anxiety its horrible. I noticed its also been worse maybe from the surgery, anesthetia, medications, i don't know but i feel like i should be so happy and my anxiety is like at an all time high. I read on here some people experience depression after calling it "boobie blues" .. my anxiety is definitely worse. Hopefully next week I'm more relaxed. I know physical anxiety isn't good for healing so I'm trying to create a mantra saying I accept my new implants without complications. Lol anxiety makes you feel like a nut! Updated on 3 May 2017: A friend of mine that's had multiple surgeries and also some work done told me about 4 years ago you get hair loss from surgery. I never had surgery so i was not sure. But i did notice in today and yesterday massive shedding in the shower . Like after you have a baby shedding. My hair is so thin to begin with ????. Is anyone else experiencing this and are you taking any thing to help with it??? I did read that sometimes implants make someone sick and they have hair loss and i think that's to early for me and also that was probably older implants not new safer ones so any imput is appreciated to stop this asap thanks! Updated on 10 May 2017: Had my second follow up with my ps. And was cleared to go back to light activity walking stairs Dr said every Thing looks great. He also told me to use scar cream so I'm using silicone sheets. He showed me how to massage them better. He pushed really hard and told me that i couldnt hurt them and it will help with the cleavage. The swelling went down a lot and to me they look smaller and of course the boob greed is setting in. My left side is also smaller and not as full. Its only noticeable to me. When i breastfed my left breast got bigger so I'm hoping nothing else changes more . My ps noted after that my right one was previously different and i just wished he noticed so he could put a slightly larger implant in the right side. Anyways its not to noticeable I'm just ocd. Updated on 15 May 2017: Called my dr to ask if i could start running again and i got the green light for all activity just to listen to my body if i feel pain to slow down. They are becoming much softer and starting to feel "part of me" . Did light activity last week just treadmill walking. I massage them 2x a day i feel like i should be more often i need to get better at this. I also think i have mandors cord?? I might have spelled that wrong. I'm using medermA and silicon scar sheets and my next post op appointment is in 3 weeks. So far so happy knock on wood no issues. Also my ps office has been great and I'm thinking of getting more work done as i save up for it. The girls at the front desk are always friendly which i was expecting a totally different way to be treated by everyone i guess because it was so much more resonably priced (cheaper) i expected them to be so busy and rude but its been a pleasant experience. I feel like they have completely dropped faster then i expected probably because i had breastfed. Only thing that bothers me are my nipples they feel like they are burning at times.. Here's 3 week update photos Updated on 16 Jun 2017: Sorry i facet updated in a while every thing is fine with implants. They are softening a lot and I'm only massaging 2x a day. Its still hard to do situps and things like that but i can run with no issues . If you have large implants i most definitely decommend buying a few knockout sports bras from victoria secret the only sports bra i can run in. The knockout style is the best. Other then that they definitely have improved my confdence. The only thing i wish is that they were a little closer together especially when i lay down i feel like they go in my armpits but my dr said that was how normal breasts operate and that is more natural movement then if i was to get textured and they just stayed put. My p.s. is also very caring skilled and nice. Doesn't make you feel unimportant or rushed. Dr beran i recommend him. Updated on 16 Jun 2017: One thing i notice from photos is they are dropping fast! I hope they Dont drop lower
A little about me: I'm tall, about 5'8, and 120lbs. I am extremely flat chested, hardly filling an A cup. I also work out a lot in the gym, so my figure is borderline "boyish" at the moment, and I hope to correct that with Dr. Berans help! I am aiming for a full B or small C, basically the largest implant size he can fit given the circumstances (little/no breast tissue) while still having a natural look. I chose Dr. Samuel Beran because of the price, years of experience, and location (he has an office in White Plains, which is about a 26 minute drive from the north side of Queens.. Plus there's a free parking lot). The reception area was very clean, large, comfortable, and well run. I did not have to wait long at all before I saw the doctor. Dr. Beran is a very friendly, knowledgeable, and overall great doctor. We sat for close to an hour in his office as he answered all the questions I had and showed me pictures of what to expect based on previous patients he's had. He has much more great before/afters to show other than the small gallery that is available publicly online. I was able to schedule a surgery date about 3-4 weeks after my initial consultation and I highly look forward to working with him to achieve my goals :). Updated on 10 Nov 2016: Just got my bloodwork and risk clearance done today!! Can't wait for my new additions :) Updated on 22 Nov 2016: Just adding a couple of pre op bra photos!! I've also got a top that I cannot wait to fill out!! As you can see I'm flat as a board.. My rib cage juts out more than my boobs haha!! Let's see Dr. Beran work his magic tomorrow!! Updated on 23 Nov 2016: Post op day 1: 295cc full aka high profile round silicone implants smooth (natrelle inspira by allergan) Finished my surgery at noon today!hours ago!! Was super alert after 30 minutes of anesthesia. I asked the nurse if I could walk out because I didn't need the wheelchair but they wheeled me out for legal reasons. Pain has been 1/10. Feels sore like I worked out on my chest. My friend and I went for sushi afterwords and I only felt pain walking out in the cold because I was shivering and that caused my chest to spasm. Other than that I can lift 5lb things no problem, turn doorknobs, etc. just can't lift my arms up very high and I've got zero nausea. Was able to put on a hoodie and take it off on my own. He told me to keep the bra on too but I couldn't resist taking it off just for these pics ???? ***update tonight: pain is now a constant 4/10 ache. Updated on 25 Nov 2016: Hey guys! Just wanna start off by saying that I appreciate the nice comments and likes I've been getting from community members. Really feels good to know that my journey is helping others!! I'll chronologically state everything that's happened since surgery!! Night of pod1: i had constant 4/10 pain, and the surgery bra was really bugging me especially at the area of the incisions. I slept with my head propped up by two pillows. I woke up 3x that night in a lot of pain. I got up by sticking one leg up in the air and having both my hands tug at the legs of my pants and crunching my abs up. So painful.. When you go from a lying down to sitting up position all the blood and swelling rushes to your boobs and gravity starts to pull them down.. Each time I get up its a 6/10 pain and I've got to sit at my bed hunched forward cupping my boobs until I can tolerate the pain and get up for a few minutes. Day/night of pod 2: this is the most painful day.. But tolerable. Pain was 5/10 and my arms had the most limited range of motion. You start to discover ways to do things without pain. I was able to lift things, open doors, close doors, only if my elbows were close to my sides. So that means I can't do anything reaching or pushing down unless it is underneath my elbow height and I can press down with my body weight. I open my pill bottles by pressing the bottle between my legs and twisting with my hands. I knew that the more flat I laid in bed the more pain it was to get up and the more soreness I would feel throughout the day. So I've been really trying to sleep as seated up as possible and the swelling and pain has decreased tremendously. Day 3: woke up a lot less sore than I was yesterday because I was seated upward more. Pain is constant 3-4/10. The range of motion of my left arm has improved a lot!! Because of my 50% improvement in mobility of my left arm I thought today was a good day for a shower since I'm cleared to shower in 48hours. So I did just that. Took my gauze off, snapped a few pictures, hopped in the shower, washed my hair, dried off with a towel and blow dried my steristrips. I washed my post op bra and I'm currently wearing a jockey medium zip up sports bra which is way more comfy. Sensitivity: I've got great sensitivity since the very beginning. I've got no numbness or overly sensitive areas. Pain: the pain has gradually been improving Range of motion: gradually improving with the left nondominant arm being the most mobile. Nausea: I had only nausea on the morning of pod2 because I took pain meds without eating breakfast. Please make sure that you eat before you take them!! Updated on 26 Nov 2016: Morning boobs are 10% what they used to be. Pain is 1/10. Lots of mobility in my arms restored. No bruising at all (never had any). Dr. Beran did an amazing job!! Updated on 4 Dec 2016: Dr. Beran makes the tiniest incisions in the biz!! Barely 3 centimeters... !! Healing very well. No pain, full range of motion in my arms, no pain getting up and onto bed, no swelling, no bruising, softening up. Amazing job.. Feels like my own :)
I am 29 years old, about to hit the big 30 and completely not happy with my reflection. I am a happily married woman with the most wonderful husband, who always said I didn't need anything. That I was perfect just how I was. But after 2 children, now 11 and 5, I just wanted my body back for me! I could care less what other people think.4 years ago Dr. Beta did my breast implants and it helped my self confidence a lot. But there remained my belly. I had a saggy tummy and stretch marks for days. So as soon as I could I knew a tt was in my future. My children were larger than average, which left me with much wider hips than I had pre-baby and a much wider and flatter booty, so a bbl it was too. I am now 6 days post, I still have the garment on, so I can't see the full result until tomorrow when my 2nd drain comes out. But I know just from the looks of it I will be happier than prior. Knowing that I could do something to make me at least a little happier when I looked in the mirror would have been worth all the money in the world !! And after seeing my surgeons work I can almost guarantee that I will be more than a little happier!!! Updated on 18 Apr 2016: Getting drain out today. Thank God. I'm dying to take a shower. I could of taken one 3 days ago, but was scared with the drains. Getting excited. I will see my tummy for the first time today. Updated on 19 Apr 2016: Still have the garment off. Doc took it off yesterday and removed my last drain. I thought I was going to faint when he did. Putting it back on was very difficult, like putting on jeans 5 yes 5 sizes too small it took him my husband and me to get the new one on. I feel more normal in it. I came home last night and took my first shower. It was so tiring and stressful taking a pic was the last thing on my mind. Now I wish I had but I'm swollen and quite normally so. The surgeon said I really won't see the final result for 6 months. Wow that's a long time. Any one else told that ? Updated on 23 Apr 2016: I took my 3rd shower today, and it's getting a little easier. I am still very very swollen. I hope it will come down more. I have a lump of swelling right under my bra line that is the most painful area , any ideas ladies ?? I had the muscle repair too so I'm not sure if that can be related to that area. I am going to ask my surgeon on Monday at my 2 week PO. My scar tape started peeling off in the shower, so when I got out I looked really good at it first, then assisted in taking it off, just in case it wasn't ready. My scar I feel looks amazing. I am very pleased with its appearance. My only concern is the painful area is swelling. Again, to all the ladies on this site I love you guys !! Truly, I do. I don't think I could of done this with out all of your support, experiences, and advice !! I am forever grateful!! Updated on 25 Apr 2016: For the women of whom I have been speaking with. This is the garment I have a recommend. I love it. As for my swelling in the front under my bra line, my ps out a syringe in it and took some fluid out of it today. I felt some immediate relief, but it feels tight again now, so I am actually going to ask him to do it again. Thank God it didn't hurt when he stuck the needle in. But I thought I was going to faint just looking at it.

Breasts that are asymmetric before surgery will usually be asymmetric after surgery. Breast surgery ( implants or lifts) is helpful in reducing the extent of the asymmetry and making a better match. However, if the breasts and chest wall are markedly asymmetric it is unrealistic to expect them to be twins after surgery. As long a patients understand these limitations, they are happy with the results.
Asymmetries that are present before augmentation will almost always be present after augmentation. However, its very common for these changes to be amplified in the first months after surgery. one breast is often more swollen or takes longer to settle in.
It seems simplistic to say that everyone is different, but its also true. Most patients experience some muscle soreness for the first few days and then it becomes much better. Its not uncommon to have occasional soreness in the weeks after surgery. You should speak with your surgeon about these concerns.
After all of the excitement in deciding to have surgery it is very normal to be nervous in the weeks after. The adrenaline is fading and now your worried. As Im sure your surgeon has told you, it takes weeks/months for your breasts to settle and the shape and bra fit changes substantially with time.
90% of tummy tuck revisions are either removal of an inch of extra skin from the side or revision of the scar. These are done under local anesthesia and the patient drives herself home. Occasionally, someone needs a small amount of additional lipo in a specific spot.
