I had a really great experience! My body looks so much better than it did before! I got full 360 lipo, arms, & my double chin area. It’s been 3 years and I’m still so happy with my results! I out weight on a year after & I gain weight better than I did before. The only thing I don’t love is that my stomach is not perfectly flat- however it’s still a million times better! I did 2 rounds with him my first procedure I went under anesthesia and it was painful recovery but they were so helpful through the healing! I went in for a second round to fix things and I was awake and it was a good experience still. My arms are flat and I have no bumps which was my primary concern and they look amazing! I did lipo with renuvion to tighten my skin. I would recommend him for sure! He is incredibly kind and I love the staff!
Dr. Peterson and his staff are absolutely amazing! The nurses were all so great and helped with all the questions I had. I’m so happy with my results, I wish I would have done it sooner! I did 490 naturalle saline implants, moderate profile.
Been thinking about this for years, the build up and nerves prior were probably the worst part. Now that I'm on the other side I'm excited for results to keep improving while managing my own expectations (perfectionist here). It's definitely a fantastic improvement! Dr. Petersen is kind, personable and did an amazing job. I consulted with 4 surgeons; his recommendations seemed to fall right in middle (so nothing super conservative or super out there, and I did get some of that) and I liked his gallery work the best. He was worth the travel! My recovery has been fairly smooth- drains out at day 7, I can almost stand fully upright, the swelling goes down everyday, and incisions are closed and healing. I'm looking forward to getting back to the gym; the biggest gift of this procedure is how empowered I feel- for once I can put in the work and see results, not just the same old floppy belly that never goes away! I learned a lot in the process about what helped and what didn't, so I will leave that in another note. Updated on 17 Sep 2021: 1. The constipation and gas. So painful and I felt like I was going to pop those first few days. I back up when I’m stressed, so my poop cycles were already off before surgery. I started Miralax a few days before surgery, and kept it going everyday for the first week. I also took Senna every evening and still am, since I think my guts are still adjusting. Lots of water. Walking. Hot tea. Cut back then got off the Percocet as soon as I could. 2. The drains! Ugh! Necessary but terrible. I could not sleep and the dang drain sites hurt so bad I barely noticed the incisions. Not much to do but ride it out. What concerned me after the second day was the internal pain when I stripped them. Did some research that appeared this was normal with fluid filling the empty space/drain vacuum. Also stripping the drains when I felt very swollen seemed to help. Gave myself plenty of time to sit after stripping as it kinda knocked the wind out of me that first time. 3. Nutrition…luckily I didn’t have any problems with nausea or vomiting. I bought some Ensure pre surgery drinks and had 2 the day before. I actually lost about 5 pounds after surgery because I had no appetite. Bought some max protein Ensure shakes and drank with meds to get something in me. Protein helps healing and keeps the fluid down. Lots of water and Gatorade. Yogurt once I could eat to help with antibiotics. 4. Sleep. So hard. I slept terrible the first week. Once the drains came out it was better. I got up every 2 hours to walk/breast massage/strip drains and move the fluid around. Bought a wedge pillow I’m still using since I’m sleeping on my back. Small pillow on top of the wedge and 2 firm pillows under my knees seem to do the trick. 5. Swelling. I’m still swollen in my abdomen although it seems to be improving. I massage my breasts and lipo sites on my hips/back. Wear my binder religiously except when washing. Kept my SCDs and Ted hose on which helped with my ankles. Right after surgery everything was swollen…fingers, toes, all of it. Walking and water always help. Hope some of that helps! Updated on 19 Sep 2021: Updated on 19 Sep 2021: Everything is lopsided. I know the fluid and swelling/breast fluff happens in different stages, and here it is! Lipo on right side swelling is much less, my waist cuts in a lot farther ( I also have some anatomical changes on that side anyway due to trauma)….left side lipo and muscle repair is way more swollen and sore. Ol’ lefty there still wants to hang a little lower even after the breast lift. I’m trying to be patient. Started scar treatment on areas where there aren’t scabs. Grateful all my wounds are closed and moving toward healing. Did find a sneaky little suture that has curled back into itself under the right breast and feels much better now that it’s out. Lots of breast massage, especially on the right…want that sucker to drop. Ran some errands yesterday and my abdominal swelling showed I pushed a bit hard. Binder on always. Still not fully upright but close. I started at 152# and down to 149#. I’m not overly concerned about weight although nice to see the number dip below 150. I’m 5’8”. TT also has the small vertical scar since my bellybutton couldn’t be pulled all the way down. Breasts are silicon 375 on right (no lift) and 345 on left (with lift). I’m 42! 3 kids. Updated on 30 Oct 2021: Moving right along! At about the 6.5 week mark things really started to change as far as how I was feeling and the abdominal swelling. I started back to gym, light yoga and spin classes around then and that has skyrocketed my healing. My body wants to move! My breasts are still not symmetrical. I have to avoid my perfectionist tendencies and remind myself how asymmetrical they were before and this is a vast improvement. I still massage several times a day to avoid capsular contracture. The right breast finally settled a little more, helped by the stretching I think. The incisions from the lift on the left are healing really well. The abdominal incision had a few places that scabbed until after week 6 and luckily everything stayed closed from start to finish. I take Vitamin E orally twice per day, massage all scars with Helichrysum and Coconut carrier oil after every shower, and keep silicon scar strips on the abdominal scars pretty much 24/7. That’s really helped everything flatten. Just anxiously waiting for things to lighten, although I know that will take a while. I still wear the binder often because I like how it keeps my waist small and helps with the swelling that comes in after a lot of activity. I bought a waist trainer too and will start that this weekend. The scars are a little tender at times and the muscles internally feel very tight, although with consistent gentle stretching I’m feeling a difference. I was pretty thin and fit prior to surgery, so I didn’t have much to lose. I am down 5 pounds and have dropped at least one full pants size. Yay! Things just fit so much better with my perky breasts and smaller waist and flat tummy. As I feel better and can start working harder at the gym and start lifting weights I’m excited for more transformation. Zero regrets. I’m so glad I didn’t let myself talk me out of it all those days and times I was so scared before the procedure. It’s really terrifying! The procedure is a lot on your body although at just over 8 weeks I am amazed at how resilient my body is, the speed of my recovery, and how excited I am for this coming summer!
Absolutely one of the best decisions I have made. If you are debating doing it, do it. I couldn't be happier with my results and I'm ONLY ONE WEEK PO. (EXCUSE the non-shaving armpits, i am still scared to shave) I got a 355CC transaxillary under the muscle breast augmentation. I debated whether to go smaller and the doctor let me know that you lose about 25CCs when going under the muscle. I originally opted for 300CC but went with my gut and, I couldn't be happier. I will keep updating this if anyone finds this helpful. :)
I did all the research and went to several consultations and finally chose Dr. Petersen for my breast lift with augmentation and mesh. I went with Dr. Petersen because of his integrity. This was the best choice I have ever made! Dr. Petersen has a true commitment to excellence! I felt like I was the only patient he had. He listened to all my concerns and answered every question. He is committed to making sure that I am happy with my results. He genuinely cares. His dedication to patient happiness is far above and beyond. The Professionalism is the best I’ve ever found. I never felt uncomfortable and was always treated with the utmost respect. Throughout the process and the few hiccups I had he made sure I got the results I desired! I love my new boobs. My results surpassed all expectations. I have a new confidence and self esteem. I have to mention the truly remarkable ladies at NUVista, they are the absolute best! The team that you’ll have is fabulous, they are there for you 100 percent , every step along the way! I highly recommend!!!! Thank you to everyone at NUVista!!!!
I had a breast lift (full anchor), augmentation (590 & 565 HP silicone), a bit of lipo (armpit and lateral/sideboob bra roll), and fat transfer to cleavage (to counter my very wide-set breasts) yesterday. Of course, it is too early to gauge my results, but I have had other procedures with Dr. Petersen in the past, so I already know it will be worth it. :) My breasts have been needing repair for years, after nursing 7 of my own babies, plus 2 sets of surrogate twins. I also lost a ton of weight! A full anchor lift was definitely needed, along with under-the-muscle implants for volume. Having a broad ribcage and a higher BWD of 14.5 and 15, I decided on larger implants. I was thinking around 600cc, but at my pre-op the sizers seemed slightly bigger than what I wanted, so we went with 590 and 565 (to correct a little asymmetry). I have always had, and hated, my widely spaced breasts, so Dr. Petersen said he could add a little fat transfer to my cleavage to give the illusion of them being closer together, without risking symmastia. We also added an internal bra (galaflex) to help the battle against bottoming out and gravity. (The lipo, fat transfer, and galaflex added to the cost) The staff, as always, were very kind and attentive, and Anesthesiologist Ken was great at calming my jitters. I believe the surgery took 4-5 hours? I woke up already in a bra and bandages, and was brought to my car. I felt loopy for the rest of the day, and vomited once from the anesthesia, but I always get extreme nausea from it. No fun. I'm not sure I'm in *pain* pain, but definitely some major discomfort. My chest muscles are extremely tight and sore. They feel as if I went to the gym and did half a trillion chest presses and chest flys. I also have some bruising where the fat was transfered to my inner cleavage. Not too bad, though. The implants are riding super high (like 1.5 inches from my collarbone) for the moment. I can't wait for the drop and fluff! I will have my post-op visit today, where I hope to get a glimpse of my new girls. I'll keep up with the updates! Updated on 2 Aug 2020: Today, I'm in some pretty intense discomfort. My chest muscles are very tight, making it difficult to breathe, unless I breathe abdominally like babies do. Not a huge deal- I just can't wait for my muscles to relax a bit. I am wearing a compression band to encourage the implants to move down, and I am also applying a nitroglycerin paste to my right areola/nipple, mainly as a precaution because that side is slightly "duskier" in color than the left. My breasts are very itchy, as well, along the anchor incisions. I am massaging them, as instructed at my post op visit. I've gained 6 pounds since surgery. The implants weigh 2.6 lbs I believe, so the rest is just general swelling and bloating. Right now I'm just in that waiting stage- waiting for these frankenboobs to drop into place, waiting for my chest muscles to loosen their vice grip, and waiting to see how everything is healing underneath all this tape! My next post op is 2 weeks after surgery. Dr. Petersen called to check on me yesterday, which I appreciated. I was nervous about my right nipple, but so far everything seems to be going well. Updated on 5 Aug 2020: I feel like I've been recovering for months now, but it has only been 6 days. I think part of my issue is hearing from all of the women in my surgery groups that they felt fantastic by day 3 or 4 post op. Meanwhile, I feel just as awful as I did day 1 & 2, haha. Still very swollen, and as always with my melodramatic body, the bruising is intense. But I am happy to report that my nipple/areola complexes look great! The nitro paste may have helped, or maybe my right NAC needed some time to perk up, but it is nice and pink now with great blood flow. What a relief. Implants are still miles high; I'm wearing the compression band across the top at all times. It has started to make my arms go a little numb at times, so I fold a couple socks under the band at my armpit for comfort. My sternum also has some discomfort, so I have a small sock rolled up in between my breasts as well. (I worry about the dreaded uni-boob. My boobs are now nearly touching, when right after surgery they still had an inch in between. Could be just swelling though. I am swollennnn everywhere, even my abdomen. I look pregnant! Lol) I had awful head nausea last night, like the feeling you get when you spin on a playground merry-go-round for 15 minutes and then get off. It was so bad that I started crying and was regretting my surgery. I just wanted my floppy granny boobs back, and no nausea. Zofran didn't touch it.. I stopped taking my painkillers last night to see if that would help with the nausea, but I'm not sure if that was it, because I still feel a little barfy today. Not as bad, though. My muscles are still uber tight, which makes it feel like I cannot breathe. I consciously am abdominal breathing instead, which feels fine. All in all, I've had a rough couple of days and I'm feeling those post-surgery blues. Sometimes I wonder if general anesthesia depletes all of your dopamine and serotonin, haha. Hopefully I will turn a corner soon, and feel better over the next couple days! Updated on 11 Aug 2020: I'm 12 days post op now, and I think things are healing pretty well. I have an appointment on Thursday to remove my tape and sutures. I'm hoping that everything will appear to be healing well under the tape. The soreness and tightness has lessened, my bruising is fading, and my implants appear to have dropped maybe a centimeter. (Yay!) I am still battling dizziness, daily. Sometimes it is debilitating. I have not taken any meds since a week post op, so I think it's safe to say that the meds are not a cause of the dizziness. I'm chugging water and taking elecrolytes today to see if that helps. This is making it quite difficult to care for my 6 kids at home. Maybe I'll request a blood draw to check for anemia at my appt. Updated on 1 Sep 2020: I'm excited to announce that at 3 weeks post op, my extreme dizziness finally went away. Hallelujah! I had started to fear that I was going to live the rest of my life in a constant state of vertigo. A few days ago, at 4 weeks PO, I noticed that my implants were ever-so-slightly less hard. I was able to poke them and have my finger sink in, instead of it feeling like I was poking a rock. Hallelujah again! My incisions are healing nicely. No open areas. (But, knock on wood, because I have heard from a couple of women that their T-junctions opened up at 8 and 9 weeks. Omg.) My areolas are so cute and symmetrical! I hope they don't stretch out in weird ways or become distorted as my scars heal. (Gosh, there are some scary outcomes throughout realself that make me nervous. I need to just focus on my own healing and not worry myself with what-ifs.) I had the genius idea to put butterfly bandages across my lift incisions to alleviate some tension, in the hopes that it would help keep my scars thin and light. Well, upon carefully removing the bandages to replace them with fresh ones, they literally ripped my skin off! I started bleeding from several rip-wounds. I felt so dumb. I thought I was being careful, but apparently having numb boob skin is not always a good thing. I was happily tearing my skin off without even knowing. Grrr. So, those are the red/irritated areas that you see in these photos. I'm putting bacitracin and gauze over those areas. I am *still* wearing the torture device known as a "breast compression strap." I hate it more by the hour. It chafes my armpits and makes my arms go numb. My implants are still riding super high, so I wonder if the strap is helping at all, but who knows. It seems to make my chest muscles spasm and become more tight. I have another post op at 6 weeks, so I'm praying that I will be told that I can throw the darn thing into a bonfire at that point. ???? I'm massaging my implants vigorously, 3 times a day. I'll add a funny illustration that I drew of how I am massaging them. Oh, and I know it is far too early to be accurately sized for bras, but I measured them anyway just for fun. So far, I am measuring a 36G. Wow!! It will be interesting to see if that changes as my boobs settle.
Words cannot even explain the quality of service that I received from Dr. Petersen and his entire staff. Even before the procedure Dr. Petersen took the time to personally call me back one evening after I had a few questions. Then after I had a hiccup during surgery he called to check with my husband and myself daily during recovery. Everything has turned out perfectly, even after the little hiccup, and I couldn't be more pleased. I would highly recommend Dr. Petersen and staff for any plastic surgery you are considering!
I had a tummy tuck last summer with Dr. Petersen and had an amazing result. I went back for a breast lift with silicone implants. My breast were deflated with low nipples after 4 kids and a large weightloss. I had difficulties getting a bra that would fit well since my breast tissue would just puddle in the bottom of the cup. I felt like I had 80yr old boobs. I am so happy I was referred to Dr. Petersen. He has great bedside manner, makes you feel comfortable and is patient with answering questions. The girls in the office were helpful in choosing an implant size. Everyone is very approachable, knowledgeable and efficient. The anesthesiologist helped distract me during the walk back and getting settled into the OR. Before I knew it I was all done. The pain was much less than I thought and I'm excited to see how my breasts change shape as they settle in. Updated on 23 Mar 2019: Here are the pics for preop and day 1 post op. I'm 5ft 6in 140 lbs and a 34/36 c/d depending on the bra preop. I have 455cc moderate plus silicone implants. My pain has been well controlled with only taking 3 percocet total so far after almost 2 days. I had some finger tingling in one hand the night of surgery that went away. I'm sleeping semi upright. My day one post op we even went out to eat for dinner. So doing better than I thought. I start breast massage today which I don't look forward to. Updated on 23 Mar 2019: I did my dressing change today and added the upper strap. The breasts look wider than I thought they would be at this point. I figured they would sit higher but not wider. I know it takes time to settle into a final shape so not terribly worried. Both nipples have sensation. I am more swollen today. Updated on 24 Mar 2019: Today was my 1st shower postop. My husband washed my hair and armpits but otherwise I was okay alone. I am super swollen. My whole chest upper abdomen armpits and back is puffy. I think this will be the peak of swelling day. So hopefully I start peeing it all out soon. I'm sore but it is more discomfort rather than pain. Sleep is a little rough but better than with my tummy tuck. It is really hard to judge progress on my boobs with all this swelling. Updated on 25 Mar 2019: I'm off narcotics now for a couple days. My swelling was finally starting to decrease today. My upper abdomen is still really bloated. It is hard to see but there is faint bruising along the upper abdomen, lower incisions and a few bruises randomly scattered. They are mostly all yellow at this point. I was able to walk to my kids school today and watch my kids solo all day. I think the shape is getting better. I can feel the implant move a little during the massage which is weird. I hope I choose the right size. I worry sometimes they will be too big but I think when the swelling goes away and they drop then it will look good. In clothing they don't look crazy so far but I definitely will not need a padded bra again. Updated on 27 Mar 2019: I drove for a very short distance today for the first time. It was a little uncomfortable but it was fine. I have seen small changes in my breast daily. I can't wait to get all the bloody tape off my incisions and really get a good look. My nipples are puffy, along with everything else, and they are waking up I think. I sometimes have some light tingling/burning in both nipples out of nowhere. I was massaging my implants and felt a quick sharp zing that startled me today. I took my gauze off and checked everything out thinking I messed up the incision and might see bleeding. Everything looked fine though and I was just overreacting. Maybe just incisional pain or nerve pain not sure. Either way it wasn't fun and freaked me out. I worry on and off that they are too big but I love the shape. I think as they settle and swelling goes down they will end up right where I want them size wise. Anyone have good wirefree bra suggestions? Updated on 29 Mar 2019: New bra today, 17$ on Amazon 36DD and so far comfortable. I ordered a 2nd one in the next band size down 34DD since I'm slowly decreasing edema and I'm on the tightest hook. For 17$ I figured might as well. I could have returned this one and waited and probably fit the 34 but I need a break from the post op bra. This one fits me a little better and is softer on the bottom incisions. Still seems supportive. We will see. Can't wait to eventually go real bra shopping. I am counting down the days until I can have my tape off. It grosses out my husband so it is hard for him to envision them looking good at this point. I know from my tummy tuck that it should look really good and mostly healed when I take it off next week. Updated on 3 Apr 2019: So my tape and sutures were due off tomorrow but I took them off today. This because the tape was starting to fall off on the edges and I had a couple gooey areas under tape which I knew were likely the sutures that needed to come out to clear up. Plus I have a phone update tomorrow and I figured this way I can have it all cleaned up and pictures sent to them to review prior. So it looks good, considering what was done. There is some yellow bruising that is clearing up still. There is a darker area that looks bruised under each breast but that is from the bra. It has a strip of thin padding about an inch wide and the way the swelling settles around it makes it look ominous. My nipples look a little dark in some of these pics but they are pink and well perfused. I feel like my implants are ahead of the game as far as dropping goes and I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing. Im still wearing my band and am supposed to wear it for 6 weeks. I'm glad I went bigger than planned. Now that the swelling has gone down some I feel like they aren't as crazy big as I thought they might be. I took pics in different lighting to get a better idea of how they look. Updated on 5 Apr 2019: I have a couple very very small incision openings. This is only on the surface layer of skin. One is at the middle lower t-junction on the left breast and the other is at the bottom of the left nipple where it meets the vertical incision. The right so far looks closed but I wouldn't be surprised if I spit a couple sutures at some point. I put bacitracin on these areas and vitamin E on the rest of the closed incisions. I had an area like this after my tummytuck that healed fine. So I'm not too concerned. It is a little annoying because there is a scant amount of drainage so I have to keep some gauze on. It healed up in a little over a week with my tummytuck and the scar wasn't bad. He warned me that these spots sometimes have this happen. It probably will look a little worse before it looks better is my guess. Updated on 8 Apr 2019: I went back to work this weekend. That went fine but I was more swollen at the end of a 12hr shift for sure. I decided to keep taking it easy this week to keep the swelling at bay and also while the couple open spots are healing. I also am feeling a little under the weather since my kids gave me a little cold. My throat is sore and I have a headache. So much fun while you are recovering from surgery. One of my nipples was being rubbed raw from the gauze I think and now is having a little serous drainage. Of course my luck it is the hypersensitive nipple. I'm putting bacitracin on and a nonstick pad to get it healed. The open spot near my right nipple ended up having a stitch that needed to be removed. It seems to be healing now. The superficial open area at the t-junction of my left breast looked a little worse yesterday then better today. There isn't any suture that I can see or feel. So might just take a week or two to fully heal. I have some peeling skin along the incisions maybe from the tape? I have a scattered fine red rash along the incision line and nipples. I'm guessing it's from the bacitracin. Now I am only using it the couple open spots. I put only biocorneum on the rest of the incision. I'm going to see how it all looks tomorrow. If it the rash or open areas looks worse I'll message my doc with pics. Otherwise I'm just trying to be patient with the healing. My husband has enjoyed helping me with the massages. It's going to be a boost to our sex life lol. He actually does a better job than I do. It is more comfortable than trying to massage it myself since I can't fit my whole hand around my breast or use as much pressure. They are very slowly feeling softer and looking better shape wise every day. My coworkers were very surprised that they didn't look crazy big. Those who didn't know already didn't even have any clue I did anything. I have less discomfort in everyday activities. I can't wait for them to be fully healed, squishy and ready for cute bras. The hardest thing right now is not going to the gym. I really miss lifting and crossfit. They want me to wait until 6 weeks post op to start again. Updated on 11 Apr 2019: Feeling a little better today but I've been sick all week. On the plus side it has taken some of my focus off my boobs. My open areas are looking much better nearly completely healed. I emailed pics to the doc just to make sure I shouldn't be doing anything differently. Also because I noticed there are areas that look reddened but when you look close it is small blood vessels that are more pronounced in the last week. I wasn't sure if that was increased inflammation from topicals or sutures vs normal for this stage of healing. They said that was normal and to just keep with the bacitracin/gauze on the open areas. I figured that was the case but I didn't want to not ask and find out later I could have done something differently and had a nicer scar. The office is always great about getting back to me and not making me feel silly for overthinking things. Love them so much! My breast have dropped more and are feeling softer. I still have swollen tissue particularly the lower middle of my breasts and some revolving bruising. I have been resting all week because I've been sick but I feel like I could easily do much more activity. So maybe it was nature's way of slowing me down lol. I didn't fiddle much with pics today. They are at weird angles on a cloudy poor lighting day. So I think they look better than what the pics show but to be transparent I figured might as well post them. Updated on 8 May 2019: My open areas closed by 1 month. My pic is at 6 weeks last Thursday. They are soft and squishy. I'm very happy with how everything looks. I still have some mild swelling especially at the end of an active day to the lower portion along the scar. My nipple sensitivity seems to be pretty normal on the left and diminished on the right but it isn't bothersome. I have a few spots in my breast that are a little sore that I only notice during massage. I'm back to exercise. Everything is pain free but pushups feel weird so I don't do them. I also haven't attempted pullups. I have only hung from the bar briefly without any kipping. I do my plank on my knees in yoga. I am still in wireless bras until 3 months, no wires or sports bras. I only can wear a sports bra breifly while working out for now.
I am 1 week and 3 days post op and I am so happy with my results so far. My surgery was performed by Dr. Petersen at Nuvista Plastic Surgery. My entire experience with Dr. Petersen, from consultation until today, has been wonderful. The after care provided has left me feeling so happy that I chose him to be my surgeon.
Perfect experience from the consultation to post-op! Perfect results, I'm in love with my new body. I had the full mommy makeover and he got my stomach muscles so tight and gave me instant abs. My body was a mess when I went in and my stomach was huge and you can't even tell, I look so much more petite! I never in my life thought I would use that word when describing my body. His office is beautiful, his staff is beautiful and kind, and he is beautiful and kind. I love them so much! I will refer them to anyone, his work is amazing.
Thank you for your question,Any surgery that is preformed no matter how advanced the technology currently, there are always risks and/or possibility of complications. Some are common complications that happen often and others are more rare occurrences like fat emboli or infections. With the injecting the fat via ultrasound to avoid the vasculature of the glute that is a much safer way than the traditional way of doing the injections "blind". Going closer to the skin in the fatty tissue area of the buttock is safer while injecting "blind" because there are much less large vessels in the fatty tissue. The benefit of injecting into the muscle is the blood supply which more fat will survive, but it has a higher risk potential to cause a fat emboli that can be fatal. The benefit of injection into the fatty layer is less risk of a fat emboli, but less fat will survive there and you may want to have an additional procedure done at a later time. Either way you choose to go, ensure that you know ALL of the risks and complications and go with an experienced ASPS board certified surgeon in your area that has done a lot of BBL procedures. I wish you the best of luck!
Thank you for your question! In my practice, I have seen this abnormal hair growth in a few patients where we have either fat grafted or done liposuction to. The one thing all of the areas have in common is that they are in the garment for an elongated period of time. This is the only connection that I can seem to find. What does the garment have to do with it you ask? With friction hair doesn't seem to grow in certain areas. For example, men who wear a T-shirt that rubs on their arms in certain spots they will not grow the hair. If they were to stop wearing that style of shirt the hair will grow in the spot where the friction is no longer rubbing. Once my patients shaved and were out of their garment the hair never returned. It is only a select few I have seen this issue in, but it should resolve. If not, schedule a follow up with you physician for any medication changes or hormone changes that may have taken place. I wish you the best of luck!
I usually see symmastia within my practice very, very rarely. How it happens is the breasts have a natural "footprint" and points of the tissue that connect in the center of your chest. If these are disrupted to accommodate a implant that is too large in diameter then it can cause symmastia. It is fixable with a procedure called a capsulorrhaphy. There are also specific binders that press directly between the implants to help prevent this from occurring. Rarely do patients have issues with symmastia.
Thank you for your question and photos! It is a bit early to know the full result of your BBL. 6 months to a year is when all of the residual swelling will have gone away. However, I would look at your before photos to see if this square shape was there to begin with and it may persist having been your previous shape. I would follow up with your surgeon over your 6 month healing period. Then if needed you could have a touch up BBL to possibly address the shape. I wish you the best of luck!
Yes, you can always change the size of your implant! However, you may want to have a lift procedure done along with a capsulorrhaphy at the same time. This would help accommodate the smaller implant needing the smaller space. I suggest meeting with your local ASPS Surgeon to talk about your wishes. The best of luck to you and congratulations on the new addition to your family!
