Each patient is different, but you should be able to safely and comfortably embark on your vacation (and the activities you described) at the 7-week mark. See your surgeon shortly before your trip to get a sign off on the zipline! Listen to your body and ease up on activities if you feel fatigued or sore. Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and have fun!
Usually, patients are mostly healed by six weeks and have no restrictions. Swimming is probably not a consideration. Zip lining may leave you sore, but shouldn't hurt your surgery. You should run this by your plastic surgeon to make sure that he doesn't have any special concerns.
Thank you for your question. As long as you do not have any exposed sutures or any pain, you should be okay to go on vacation and enjoy the activities that you have planned! Go have fun and if you experience any pain then slow down. Our bodies are wonderful at letting us know that something is wrong!
Dear santiana, recovery time after a tummy tuck is approximately 2 weeks. Vigorous activities should be limited for at least six weeks. Almost the same goes for a breast augmentation. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Daaniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
I generally allow my patients to resume full activity when they are 6 weeks. That does include exercise and weight training. I allow them to go into the pool once the incision have completely healed which is around 2-3 weeks.I would recommend discussing this with your plastic surgeon as it is very patient and surgeon dependent.Hope that helps.
Healing and recovery is patient dependent. All of the incisions should be well healed before contemplating pool use and zip lining. I recommend to all my patients that they not engage in strenuous exercise until at least six weeks following a MM. To be safe, I would schedule an in-office appointment with your plastic surgeon to obtain approval for these two activities.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Thank you for your question and congratulations on your mommy makeover surgery. Most patients are cleared to exercise and swim by six weeks. It is best to have an in-person follow up examination with your plastic surgeon for recommendations regarding what you should and should not be doing at this time. Good luck in your recovery.
Assuming you have no complications after surgery you should be able to do the activities you mentioned at 6 weeks post op. As you increase your activity level you may notice a temporary increase in swelling as well, so be sure to rest in between if this occurs. Good luck with surgery!
Thank you for the question! At 7 weeks post-op, you should be ready to resume your regular activities. That includes physical exercise and swimming. You may still have some swelling and feel a bit sore after zip lining but, other than that, you should be fine. An in-person exam with a board-certified plastic surgeon would be the best way to assess your needs and guarantee a reliable medical advice. Best of luck!
Usually you should be back to everything at 6 weeks. It depends a little on how all the wounds heal etc and your PS is best to advise.
