I'm concerning if my doctor did too much? she used 3 heads, 4.5mm 3mm and 1.5mm on my entire face and neck, total 1200 times. a few hours later I got quite some welts on my cheeks and side of my eyes. day 3 and the welts is much lighter but my cheek is a little swollen and itchy. from what I read it seems doctors usually only use the 1.5mm around the eyes . is there any harms for using it all over my face ? for example on my left cheek: 4.5mm: 60 *2 , 3.0mm: 45 *2 1.5mm: 45*2
Answer: Ultherapy Treatment Results This is an excellent question. It also sounds like you are very educated in the procedure as well which is great! In our practice, for best results, three transducer depths are typically used unless the deepest level cannot be achieved after looking on Ultrasound. Using all three transducers mentioned in your question above will help achieve a great result 3-6 months after your procedure. We often see minimal welts and redness after the 1.5mm transducer is used. The "injury" the transducer makes is more noticeable due to the fact that this transducer depth lies closest to the epidermis; therefore, you may see more patterning due to this treatment. I hope this information helps you and you have a fabulous result!

Answer: Ultherapy Great question! This is a totally normal line count and depth. We usually treat each area with 2 depths. The 1.5mm can cause welts that will typically go away in a few days. Best of luck!

Answer: Ultherapy Treatment Protocol It sounds like you received an appropriate type of treatment and number of pulses. We also recommend a 3 layer treatment as optimal and use the 1.5mm transducer on the full face all the time. However, the 1.5mm layer can cause some welts which completely resolve with time. As for the quality and efficacy of your treatment, that can only be determine via close follow up with your treating physician and comparison of your before and after photos. Hope this helps!

Answer: Ultherapy You are quite informed as most clients don't understand nor know their line counts or mm depths. Rest assured that total line count is completely normal and actually quite on point for a total face and neck treatment. You can use 3 depths depending on the areas and as you're laying there trust that your provider most likely knows and does the depths based on the zones but from what you're describing below I feel like it's fine. I hope that helps!

Answer: Ultherapy treatment & results--add lasers, RF, Sculptra, microneedling/prp, J Plasma, Nova threads If you're concerned about your treatment, I recommend following up with your Doctor. Ultherapy is a great device for skin tightening, but keep in mind, a combination approach would give the most improvement with Ultherapy. I recommend Ultherapy with RF treatments, lasers, microneedling/PRP, J Plasma, nova threads or sculptra to get increased collagen, tightening and improve skin tone. Cost will vary. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
