I had a great experience with Dr. Burgess and the staff at her office. Felt at ease, spent the time necessary to address all my concerns, additional questions answered promptly over the phone. Very happy with the results. LD
I began researching again about getting a breast reduction surgery a few years ago. I consulted with 4 surgeons and did a lot of research about how to pick the best surgeon for you. Dr. Burgess checked off each and every box that not only I created for me but also what was recommended to look at when you chose a surgeon. From consultation to year out checkup, both Dr. Burgess and her staff have been fantastic. I am extremely happy with my results and have significant relief from neck and shoulder pain. Dr. Burgess and her team are fantastic!!
Only have positive things to say… staff was amazing (Maggie is my main nurse, but everyone is so wonderful), Dr. Burgess is such an impeccable surgeon! I’m more than pleased with my results and all of the pre and post surgery care I’ve received! Amazing place!
After receiving a breast cancer diagnosis, I was referred to Dr. Burgess. What a scary time of my life with several unknowns. Dr. Burgess was able to see me within a few weeks of my diagnosis which was amazing! I was intimidated as first. I had never stepped foot into a plastic surgeon office and I was nervous to be judged. I was quickly put at ease by the customer service of the front desk staff, the helpful fun nurses, and the professionalism of Dr. Burgess. She clearly informed me of all my options and we made a plan that best suited my situation. She was thorough in her information but compassionate about my situation as well. It was a seamless process and both surgeons (oncology and plastic) worked so well together. Truly the best case scenario for a very scary situation. I opted to get a lumpectomy and then a reduction to even out my breasts (which includes some lift action). Let me tell you...my breasts look amazing! Better than at any point in my life! So now I am cancer free and have better looking breasts! What a win-win situation! I give Dr. Burgess a lot of credit for still helping women with breast cancer situations. I also want to acknowledge her supremely helpful and personable office staff and nurses. Each one went out of their way to make me feel appreciated as a customer. I would recommend Dr. Burgess for any procedure!
Dr. Burgess is truly a miracle worker. I had my first set of implants (over the muscle and too big for my small frame) 17 years ago. Then breastfed 3 kids, got capsular contraction, and they looked seriously awful. I didn’t give them much thought as I was busy raising my babies but had a consult with a few different surgeons 2-3 years ago. I chickened out. Thought about getting them out altogether but I knew I had nothing to work with. When I met with Dr. Burgess years ago, I knew immediately she was the one just that the timing was off. She has a confidence about her that I loved and she knew exactly what needed to be done. She didn’t sugar coat the procedure either which was appreciated. Finally got the implant exchange, a lift, and had strattice put in October of 2023. It was a 5 1/2 surgery and even she noted, was rough. My pain after was minimal, though, and the recovery was much easier than I thought. She immediately put me at ease while marking me up before the procedure. Laughing about our mother in laws and making the whole experience the best possible. If I had to do it all over again, I would 1000% go with her but would’ve done it years ago! Most real looking set of fake boobs ever!
Wow. Why was I so scared? Dr Burgess and her staff both front office and clinical could not have been more professional, patient and helpful with me. I have talked about doing a breast reduction with my husband for YEARS and have felt it was such a personal choice. I kept vacillating, back and forth . Is it safe enough, will the outcome be worth it, so many questions? A definite YES was the answer less than a week after surgery! I wish I would have done this years earlier. It has change not just my physical appearance but taken away so much neck pain and given me a much happier state of mind. If you are on the fence like me I urge you to check it out and get answers to your questions. I found Dr. Burgess to be honest, personable and listened to what I had to say.
After breastfeeding 3 children, my 34B bra was now nearly empty-- I hardly had any breast tissue left. I decided to get what I called my “breastoration” for my 40th birthday. My husband and I did some research and we settled on Burgess Plastic Surgery due to excellent reviews and personal recommendations from local friends. Dr Elisa Burgess and her nurse Maggie answered all of my pre-op questions. After doing research and holding the sample models in the office, I decided to get Mentor MemoryGel silicone implants. Since I had so little actual breast tissue, I felt the silicone would have a more “natural” feel in my body instead of saline. Since I’m only 5’2”, I decided to go with the second smallest size they had available at the time, I believe it was 250cc on each side. The surgery and recovery went smoothly, and I only needed oxycodone for 3 days before switching to ibuprofen. The drains came out in the standard time. The first month the breasts were high on my chest. But as the pectoral muscles adjusted and loosened, they settled where they should be. I am a runner, and was able to start running about 4 weeks later, wearing a very supportive sports bra. After the post-op care was complete, I have continued to see Dr Burgess annually, where photos are taken and she examines the implants. Most recently, the office received an ultrasound that is used to confirm that the implants themselves remain intact without leaking. I also make sure my mammogram reports are sent to her office. My silicone implants turned 10 and I turned 50 this year! They are just as wonderful as the day Dr Burgess put them in. My husband told me to tell Dr B how much he likes them too. I am much more confident in my body, wearing strapless dresses and swim suits that I would not have been able to wear pre-surgery! I have also run 9 marathons since my breastoration; they do not jiggle or get in my way. My sports bra actually has something in it now besides padding. I had a breast cancer scare a few months ago. While I’m grateful my mammogram with biopsy was negative, I knew I already had an excellent surgeon already on my team, should I need surgery. The care I receive is exceptional; from friendly Lacey at the front desk, to sweet Debbie the office manager who ensures everything run smoothly, to the nurses, and Dr Burgess herself, everyone is kind, encouraging, patient, and easy to work with. You can tell they love what they do and who they work with. Honestly, when I visit every year, it feels like coming home. I highly recommend Burgess Plastic Surgery. You will love them too. Updated on 12 Sep 2023: I added a photo of when I was breastfeeding (about 34C), about 6 years prior to surgery. My typical size before getting pregnant/breastfeeding was a 34B. Post surgery, I was surprised to drop to 32 band, cup size increased to D/DD, but to me feels similar to when I was breastfeeding
From my very first consult to now, being at the end of my six week recovery after a breast reduction, I could not recommend Dr. Burgess, the team, or the process more. Dr. Burgess and every single person I interacted with at the office went above and beyond to ensure a smooth process. A special shoutout to Maggie and Gracie for making everything so easy and making me feel so comfortable and cared for. The entire team listened, provided their expertise, and I felt all of their support. Six weeks post surgery, I didn't know I could be as happy as I am with the results. I had a breast reduction, lift and added the DuraSorb mesh due to my skin's elasticity and when I tell you it's been life changing, please believe me. I couldn't rave more about my overall experience, the ease I had during the recovery process, and the fact that Dr. Burgess and her team made that all possible. I feel so much more confident, lighter, and as a result, happier. Thank you all so, so much. I really feel so fortunate to have had Dr. Burgess do the reconstruction of my double mastectomy. The results were way beyond my expectations! She was able to do nipple saving surgery, and the results look and feel so natural. I highly, highly recommend her for reconstruction. She does incredible work!
Dr Burgess is exceptional in her field. She came highly recommended by my physician. She not only did a lift and implant size reduction, she did an amazing job downsizing my areolas to make them match my reduction in size. I am 66 years old and now have beautiful breasts to match the rest of my body. I exercise on a regular basis and do not eat starchy carbs or desserts and needed my breast to match my hard work. Thank you Dr Burgess Updated on 1 May 2023: I needed to get my old implants removed. Dr Burgess performed a Bilateral breast implant exchange with capsulorrhaphy & downsizing areola. I exercise on a regular basis, but could not get my breasts to look like the rest of my body. I am so happy to now have my breasts match my body.
