Ultherpay focuses on the collagen layer in the skin. So there are two layers that we focus on and both are treated at the same time. If there is a time crunch we can divide upper and lower face on separate visits within a week or so. Definitely there are no three layers treated with ultherapy.
Thank you for your question. Typically we like to do at least two passes to deliver heat energy at specific depths of the skin and muscle at the same visit. This can be split up into separate visits if there is too much discomfort. The amount of passes of heat energy at specific depths can also depend on your anatomy and if there is tissue to heat up to promote collagen production and tissue tightening. The specific depths can be identified using the ultrasound guided transducer. Each person has their own individualized treatment plan to address their specific needs.
In our practice we do two passes at different depths in the same visit. It can be a long visit depending on the area being done. Best of luck!
Thank you for this question. Ultherapy is performed in one session and it depends what your skin shows when the ultrasound scan is carried out. Everyone’s skin is unique and your bespoke treatment plan will be decided by your treating practitioner depending on the ultrasound scan results. This will usually be 2 or 3 depths but is definitely done at the same time in order to achieve best results. Dr Tracy Mountford
There are 3 types of transducers created for the ultherapy machine. However 3rd one (1.5mm) is totally optional and not included on original manufacturer's protocols. Moreover we have learned that most of the negative results are in fact attributed to the 1.5 transducer. For all our patients we offer a 365 days money back guarantee for ultherapy procedures and this does not include the use of the 1.5 transducer.

You can repeat Ultherapy, it is advised to wait for up to 6 months as you can continue to get more lift and tightening during that time. Your practitioner will advise if a second treatment is required. I often combine Ultherapy with Botulinum toxin and fillers in order to achieve best results. I...
I have been performing Ultherapy since it was FDA cleared and brought to market. I have found it, in general, effective for the right candidates, but I tell my patients in consultation that it hurts. When it first came out the company told doctors that just Motrin would be enough and for some,...
