Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Thank you for your query. You do have excessive scarring following your breast reduction surgery. You will need some scar revisions and some postoperative care to improve your results. Hello! Unfortunately, it appears that you have had some poor scarring in both the breast tissue itself as well as the skin and nipple areola complex. After about 12 months, the scarring will really not change by much. The good news is that this can definitely be fixed! You would need a revision of all of the scars and redo-mastopexy or breast lift. The tethering that you are seeing on the R breast can be released as well in this fashion. It is most important to ensure that the closure of your breast not be under any tension so that your scarring ends up nice and fine. Good Luck!

It is very difficult to evaluate result of surgery based on a single photo!. However, it appears to me that major reason for unsatisfactory result are your bed scars. It is not in the hand of surgeon to control scars entirely; patient own biology and responce to trauma of surgery is dominant factor in that regard. Scar revision should be considered; this should be discussed with your surgeon. Good luck.

Revision of this is possible. The size of the areola can be decreased, and the indented scars can be revised to make the area flatter. I would suggest seeing a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for a consultation.
