Dr. Michal Brichacek is a Plastic Surgeon in Winnipeg specializing in craniofacial, and aesthetic plastic surgery. He completed a prestigious fellowship in Craniofacial and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto, and has a particular interest in aesthetic facial surgery.

Dr. Brichacek is double Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He obtained the highest possible score (99th percentile) on the written examination for certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry with honors from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where he was also an NCAA Athlete and captain of the fencing team. He earned his medicine degree at the University of Western Ontario. During this time, he was involved in innovative research on facial paralysis at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Following this, he completed residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The University of Manitoba.

Dr. Brichacek is actively involved in the field of Plastic Surgery. He is presently the vice-chair of the Young Plastic Surgeons Committee for the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is likewise a peer reviewer for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, as well as the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

He is widely published, and his peer-reviewed research has appeared in many highly regarded journals. His work has been presented at many major conferences in the field of Plastic Surgery.
