Dr. Jeremy Nikfarjam is an American Board of Plastic Surgery Board Certified Plastic Surgeon based in the New York Metro area with offices in Manhattan, Long Island, and upstate New York. Dr. Nikfarjam is well known for his expertise in emergency, cosmetic, and reconstructive plastic surgery. The mission of his practice is to make plastic surgery procedures achievable and accessible for any and all patients by pioneering a model of insurance-based plastic surgery. Blending both the functional and aesthetic components of the plastic surgery field allows patients to access life changing procedures that may otherwise have been out of reach. Dr. Nikfarjam leads his team in supporting his vision that plastic surgery is holistic- allowing space for positive lifestyle changes that give patients a happier, healthier state of being and lifelong improvements in overall health. A vanguard of a new generation of plastic surgeons, Dr. Nikfarjam brings a refreshing perspective to a field that has once often been perceived as rigid and unapproachable.
After a serious car accident, I was left with a long, noticeable scar running vertically down my abdomen. I really wanted to improve its appearance, so I consulted with several plastic surgery clinics. Unfortunately, most of them only offered major surgical procedures, which came with long recovery times and only minimal improvements. Then I found New You Plastic Surgery and met Dr. Jeremy Nikfarjam. From the very first appointment, I knew this place was different. Dr. Nikfarjam took the time to really listen to my concerns—especially my hesitation about going through another tough recovery—and suggested a non-surgical option using targeted injections for my keloid scar. He explained the entire process clearly, set honest expectations, and designed a treatment plan that fit exactly what I needed. I was surprised (in the best way) to find out there were effective, non-invasive alternatives. After just a few sessions, I saw a big difference. The scar is now much flatter, thinner, and barely noticeable in some areas. Dr. Nikfarjam paid close attention to every detail, adjusting the treatment based on how each section of the scar responded. His skill and care made a huge difference. I’m truly happy with the results. What meant the most to me was that he focused on what was best for me—not just on recommending the most expensive or aggressive treatment. If you’re looking for expert care with real compassion and great results, I definitely recommend New You Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Nikfarjam is not only a great human being - he's also a skilled perfectionist when it comes to plastic surgery. I went to see him for a silicone removal and he walked me through the process a few times (I was nervous as you can imagine and needed reassurance) and he made sure I understood. I had my surgery a week ago and so far everything is going well. Schedule a consultation with him for whatever surgery you're considering - it's free and I promise you that you will not be disappointed. Follow him on IG and see the magic in his craft. Also Brianna was my coordinator and she helped streamline the process with my insurance and my approval went through fairly quick. She also was right there to answer any questions I had and still have regarding my surgery. She's a sweetheart.

I’am very grateful to Dr. Nikfarjam and his entire work team, from administrative and medical. I’m POLYMERS patient, I’am from Fort Worth, TX and I traveled to New York for my surgery.. l had a bad experience 20 years ago I had Polymers injected in to my buttocks under false pretenses they told me it was hyaluronic acid. 5 years ago on 2017 I stated with legs, feet, knees, back with horrible pain weakness, swelling , depression, decoloration, some days I can not walk. Last May Iam developed a fistula on my right buttock which oozes an oily liquid and did not close. With MRI with contrast doctor saw many of granulomas was in there’s. Finally after my long search for some doctor help me I find Dr. Nikfarjam thanks God. I had the surgeries September 12 and 14 2023. It is incredibly that next day of the surgery I felt slight improvement that I could not believe, my feet had not sensation since 13 months ago and day after surgery I recovery 50% of my sensitivity, today all my symptoms are improving little by little every day, which will be better very soon Dr. Nikfarjam explained entire process to me in detail, he gave me that confidence and security that everything would turn well. His professionalism, compassion and love for his patients is amazing. Thank you so mucho Dr. Nikfarjam. Lorena
Doc Nikfarjam, saved my life by removing silicone injection from my butt. He explained the entire procedure and make sure I understand clearly what he would be doing. His bedside manner is nothing less than professional, compassionate, empathetic and humanitarian. His team are no exception, they are beyond awesome. My coordinator is Brianna, she is super sweet. She checked on me very often making sure I was ok before and after the procedure. She replied promptly to any questions I may asked at any time of the day. I would recommend any one to this team, they are like angels in disguise.
Initially I had decided I did not want to share my story. Given my great experience, I changed my mind in hopes that anyone else in this situation can find an end to the long pain and discomfort ordeal that is living with silicone injections. After a year long of reading reviews on this platform on Dr. Nikfarjams work, I decided to contact his office. His office quickly responded and I was immediately assigned to a Surgical Coordinator Brianna Diaz. She was kind, patient and extremely helpful through out the entire process. Once my Insurance approved the two stage procedure, a procedure date was set. I was very nervous on the procedure. On 8/7/23 - Pre Ops appointment. During this appointment I met with Dr Nik person. He is very warm, confident and charismatic person. Listens to your concerns and also makes sure to go over every single step of the process. I left reassured and feeling positive about this upcoming procedure. On 8/22/23 - First Surgery at LIJ Hospital to remove as much silicone as possible. I checked in at 6:30am to the hospital. I was admitted and prepped for surgery. Dr Nik walked me through the whole process once again. He literally held my hand i to the OR. Again he genuinely cares about his patients. An hour later i woke up in the recovery room. I woke up drowsy and sluggish. In a bit of pain but nothing Dr Niks team didn't handle. 8/23/2024 - The day after the fist surgery, and the day before the 2nd surgery. Today was a rest day in between both surgeries. Dr Nik came by to check up as well. All the nurses and staff was wonderful, caring, kind and compassionate. The pain was manageable throughout this process. 8/24/2023 - Today is the day 2nd surgery to wash out and perform a high lift. Again I was prepped for the OR and again we went. Dr. Nik was always friendly and again walked me through the whole process.I was out of the OR within the hour. Woke up in the recovery room drowsy and sluggish but its all part of the process. Within the hour I was back in my assigned room in moderate pain, which again was manageable by the Doctors team. Got to sleep through the night. 8/25/2024 - Today is the day I am discharged. I couldn't had woken up feeling better today. The pain was a lot less intense. I felt lighter and better. I am glad I went through with this surgery. Looking forward to my post opt appointment to have the drains removed and start feeling better and hopefully soon work on the 3rd and final reconstructive part. I am forever thankful for Dr. Nik and his team! Can begin to describe how much better I feel thus far. Once we have completed the 3rd and final step - reconstructive surgery I will come again and provide and update in about 8 weeks. Until then I am grateful to have finally gotten past this week and come out happier than I was. Updated on 21 Sep 2023: Drains came out yesterday! I couldn't had been happier! I made the best decision. I feel so much better, Dr Nik is really the GOAT of Silicone removal. Another happy patient! I would recommend anyone looking to remove silicone to see Dr Nik. They are non-judgmental team of professional. Updated on 12 Dec 2023: I couldn't be happier with my results. My buttocks are shaping up nice, tight and lifted. His hands are a gift from GOD. His work is truly remarkable. I look forward to my following procedure. PS: please do not be discouraged by other patients negatives reviews. Having patience and realistic expectation of the before and after are very important. Dr. Nik will not promise what he cannot deliver. His honesty and professionalism are truly admirable. A few years before meeting Dr Nil, I had been completed mislead by a different plastic surgeon here in NYC. I wish i wouldve went with Dr. Nik from the very beginning. But good things come to those who wait! Worth the Wait!! I highly recommend him and his amazing team!
Hello everyone. This doctor gave my life back. Dr. Nik removed biopolymers from my buttocks five weeks ago. I am very greatful with God for putting Dr. Nik in my life to remove poison from my body. About twenty years ago I got silicone injections in Colombia. It was the thing to do back then. Being young and foolish, all I cared about was the look of my new butt and not the side effects. My symptoms (chronic back pain, numbness in my legs, sciatic nerve pain, malformation, skin discoloration and depression over the look of my butt) got worse with time. For the last seven years, I looked for doctors in New York to remove the silicone. Unfortunately, no one was willing to help me. I started looking for doctors in Colombia, however I did not like their technique, the awful scars in the buttocks and the extremely expensive prices. I finally found Dr. Nik who made me feel confident about the procedure. After five weeks post-op I am feeling amazing. My buttocks has a beautiful natural looking shape and minimal scarring considering the procedure. I am beyond grateful for Dr. Nik, Brianna Diaz (Coordinator for Silicone Removal) and all the staff who have helped to patch me up and get me back to the confident woman I once was.
Back in 2009. I made the dumbest decision to get butt shots. worst decision I have ever made in my life. I decided to look into getting removal way before having symptoms, but did not have insurance to do so. I started showing symptoms during Covid. And that’s because I was sitting more. I noticed my discoloration started to get worse. I started having pains shooting down my legs. Then sleepless nights, irritability. Hardening of the buttocks, due to scar tissue. This was the worst thing I have done to myself. The pain at night was worse. I don’t understand why I can never get comfortable. My lymph nodes were extremely swollen in my groin area. I looked into doctors in my area, and there was nothing in New Jersey. I also looked into doctors in Columbia, but wanted to stay in the states in case something was to happen. I decided to use Dr Nikfarjam. I am glad I did. Him and his staff are truly amazing. They made me feel very comfortable without judgment. They are truly sympathetic and do their best to help you out with any questions you have. Even after surgery they check up on me through text email and however, which way is more convenient for me I’m so happy I made a decision to have removal decision I could’ve made Updated on 17 May 2023: My drains were removed. I was a little sore the day after they were removed, but that seemed very natural being that they were in me for a few weeks. I am a little sore but nothing I cannot handle my skin is looking a lot better to me. A lot lighter than before. Hopefully the discoloration will go away. Completely fingers crossed. Updated on 3 Jun 2023: So it’s been 5 weeks since my removal! I’m feeling good. My butt is a lot softer. Still a little firm in certain areas. And I still have a lot of discoloration. 50/50 chance it might never go away. But I guess I have to except that. I did this to myself. Updated on 22 Aug 2023: Hello everyone. I am 17 weeks post op. I am feeling great and very excited to have my third and final stage completed. My surgery date is 9/11/23. I am extremely excited. As you can see from my current pictures that I still have a lot of discoloration. But the doctor did say that there was a 5050% chance that it might not go away. Fine with that there are other options. My butt is feeling great. Still a little hard, but a lot softer than it was before surgery. I will keep you posted active my stage three is completed.
After years of searching I finally found this angel. Dr. Nikfarjam is truly amazing it’s been a blessing to have found him. Not Amy doctors in the US have any knowledge or experience of this procedure and many that do leave you butchered and deformed. Today I had my second procedure to remove this poison from my body. My coordination Brianna Diaz was exceptional every step of the way. His entire team genuinely helpful. Dr. Nik is amazing, charismatic he truly loves his job his demeanor is unmatched. He brightens up the room soon as he comes in he’s like a light. Updated on 2 Apr 2023: I was released from the hospital yesterday. I’m feeling much better. Dr. Nikfarjam came to see me before I left. I still have my drains on and my incisions are covered up. I go for my visit this week with Dr. Nik to see how I am progressing. Overall I’m feeling better, just home relaxing. (Sorry for the typos in my previous post.
Hi Cucusa! Here’s a clear guide on how to start the process: 1. Find a Qualified Surgeon: You want a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in silicone or biopolymer injection removal, particularly from the buttocks. This isn’t a typical cosmetic surgery—it requires experience with identifying free silicone migration, managing scar tissue and inflammation, and reconstructive techniques. 2. Schedule a Consultation: At the consultation, the surgeon will review your injection history (what was used, where, how much—if known), perform a physical exam, order imaging (usually MRI with silicone protocol). It's important to be honest and detailed, even if you don’t have full records. Your transparency will help guide safe removal planning. 3. Get Imaging (MRI with and without contrast): MRI with and without contras to assess how deep and widespread the silicone is, including possible migration to lymph nodes or muscle. This step is crucial for safe surgical planning. 4. Discuss Removal Options: Based on imaging and your anatomy, the surgeon will explain what areas they can remove silicone from and if they offer (or are experienced with) reconstruction post silicone removal. It's also important to discuss: Recovery time and risks along with personal goals. *Don’t rush into surgery with just any provider—this is delicate work that requires true expertise. Be cautious of anyone offering “minimally invasive” or “liposuction only” solutions for silicone removal; these often leave silicone behind or worsen inflammation. I have seen thousands of patients who have been victimized by illegal silicone injections. The symptoms I see range from mild to moderate to severe- requiring emergent hospital admissions. What you report is a familiar story that we here in the office- pain in the buttocks, back, and legs. Sometimes this pain is accompanied by intermittent tingling in the extremities. Treatment is possible! After training in hospitals in The Bronx in the early '00s, I saw countless patients present to the emergency room with symptoms related to silicone disease but were not given any substantial treatment. They were given antibiotics and pain medications and sent home. It was then that I decided to pioneer the silicone removal center in New York. You can read more through the link below. Ultimately, I perform a two-stage open removal procedure (through a small incision inside the buttocks crease) with a third stage reconstructive BBL. All three stages are pre-authorized through a patient's health insurance. I only perform these procedures in a hospital setting with a dedicated team that I have handpicked to assist in these unique procedures. I believe this is a medical problem that needs real, medical treatment (in the U.S., in a hospital, with a board-certified plastic surgeon). Of course, the aesthetic component is very important, and as a plastic surgeon, I do everything I can to make sure my patients look great afterwards as well. Please feel free to contact my team to inquire about your particular insurance policy. We have a comprehensive fly-in program my Silicone Coordinator can discuss with you. She has undergone silicone removal and reconstruction and would be happy to share her silicone journey with you and see how we can help with yours. (516) 279-2616
Thanks for sharing your story. I'm really sorry you're dealing with this. Based on what you're describing, it sounds like you're having a reaction to whatever was injected, which could be silicone or possibly something else entirely, since unregulated injections often involve mixed or misrepresented substances. If you're experiencing purple discoloration, here are a few potential reasons: chronic inflammation or granuloma formation beneath the skin, causing vascular changes and pigmentation; slow tissue breakdown (common in long-term filler complications); post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation - if there was a previous flare-up, infection, or irritation. The good news is - in many cases, this is fixable, but it depends on what’s going on underneath the surface. An MRI with and without contrast must be ordered to help identify if there is in fact silicone present in those specific areas and to see how it's behaving (migrating, inflamed, etc.). If the biogel is causing inflammation or granulomas, you will most likely need surgical intervention. I have seen thousands of patients who have been victimized by illegal silicone injections. This is a great question! Unfortunately, steroid injections only temporarily reduce inflammation. They do not remove the cause (silicone). Steroid use may mask symptoms but doesn’t prevent recurrence. It is important to note, long-term use of steroid injections weaken tissue, delays healing, masks infection or abscess and are typically only used as short-term bridges, not a cure. It is crucial to see an experienced, Board-Certified plastic surgeon who specializes in silicone/biopolymer removal and reconstruction after foreign body removal. I recommend reaching out with your full history and photos. An MRI with silicone-specific protocol is recommended. This helps map the remaining silicone and inflammation areas precisely which is crucial when creating a customized surgical plan. I am a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a specialized focus on silicone and biopolymer removal. Over the years, I have dedicated my practice to safely addressing complications arising from these materials. Recognizing the unique challenges they pose, I developed a removal and reconstruction technique that is designed to ensure the most complete removal possible while minimizing risks and optimizing patient outcomes. I'd be happy to see you for a clinical evaluation whether it be a complimentary virtual consultation or an in-office appointment to discuss your options. Please note – insurance can cover these procedures if your plan holds out of network coverage and the procedure is deemed medically necessary. My Silicone Coordinator can look into existing coverage during your initial call. (516) 279-2616
To answer your question, technically, yes. Fat can be grafted on top of the silicone. However, it is not recommended as there is a risk the fat may not integrate well because the gel creates a foreign body environment. The gel may impede vascularization, reducing fat graft survival. Injecting fat may disturb the hydrogel, potentially triggering migration or inflammation. So, while it’s possible, it’s not considered the safest or most effective approach in many cases. Removing any foreign body material is always recommended first. Ideally. removal would be the safest path forward before fat transfer. This ensures as much foreign material is removed as possible, reducing the risk of adverse reactions. It allows for a more biologically “clean” plane for fat graft survival. It enables better long-term aesthetic results and reduces unpredictability. A consultation with a Board-Certified surgeon experienced in silicone removal is crucial. Typically, the surgical steps are as follows - Stage 1: Removal of silicone via open excision approach. Stage 2: performed typically within 24-48 hours after stage 1. This includes a secondary removal after wound vac placement and an internal buttock lift. After a 3-month recovery/healing process, we can perform Stage 3: Fat grafting once inflammation has resolved and tissue planes are healthy. Please keep in mind, these procedures can be covered by insurance. I am a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a specialized focus on silicone and biopolymer removal. Over the years, I have dedicated my practice to safely addressing complications arising from these materials. Recognizing the unique challenges they pose, I developed a two-stage surgical excision process and a third stage of reconstruction (often referred to as a reconstructive BBL).
