Hello @suzannahburke, thank you for your question. It can happen that the breasts change size, shape and appearance after a breast reduction. Hormonal fluctuations or weight changes can affect breast tissue. If you have had a breast reduction procedure and notice changes occurring again within 6 months of the original surgery it is important to speak with your surgeon about any possible concerns as they would best be able to address your questions and assess the situation. Your doctor will likely check both the physical integrity of the surgical site along with ruling out any additional medical causes that could contribute to the growth of excess tissue or an increase in size overall before deciding on further steps if necessary. It's not uncommon for some changes to occur in the breasts after a breast reduction surgery. Typically, the initial swelling and healing process can take several weeks to months, and during this time, the breasts may change in size, shape, and appearance.Six months post-surgery, it's possible to experience some changes such as minor fluctuations in breast size, sensation, and healing. However, significant growth in breast size after a reduction surgery might be unexpected. If you've noticed a substantial increase in breast size six months after your surgery, it's recommended to consult your plastic surgeon or a healthcare professional who can provide a proper evaluation and guidance based on your individual situation. They will be able to determine whether these changes are normal parts of the healing process or if there might be an underlying issue that needs attention.
It is possible for your breasts to grow six months after a breast reduction. If you are young or gain significant weight after the surgery, you will notice more changes in your breasts over time. You should see your surgeon for follow up and examination. It may be possible to do another breast reduction in the future. Good luck!
The breasts can change size due to hormonal shifts, weight gain or loss, or from pregnancy. If you are experiencing increase in size without any of these factors being present you may want to discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
You did not post photos, but enough breast tissue must be left behind to keep the nipples alive. It is best to leave more tissue than to remove too much. For most women, B cups reduction is not safe for the nipples and many large breasted women really have no idea how small a B actually is. It...
You will not be able to get your glue and surgical tapes wet for they will come off in the shower. Please follow your surgeon's advice. You can still bathe around the areas.
Since this is not being done for medically reasons, but for cosmetic, call the clinics near you and ask for the price of a breast reduction. It sounds like you are more interested in a simple mastectomy.
