I'm scheduled in Aug for a bbl, and I'm kind of concerned. I've heard that some bbl procedures don't even last a whole year! I have a great surgeon, one of the best. I just would like to know what to expect months after getting the procedure?
Answer: Results of Brazilian Butt Lift are Permanent For most patients, the results of the Brazilian butt lift are long lasting. The results will last longer if the fat is purified and re-injected properly. Since the fatty tissue being injected is your own, the body will actually provide this tissue with a blood supply. While a portion of the transferred fat will reabsorb prior to receiving this blood supply, approximately 50 to 70 percent of the fat cells injected will stay in place in your buttocks long-term. Initially following the surgery your buttocks will be swollen from the operation and in the following couple of weeks the swelling will settle and you will see your final results. Since you are already signed up with a great surgeon, be sure to ask him to explain in more detail what to expect month by month after the procedure. Good luck!

Around 70% of fat that is grafted is typically expected to survive long term. We also put a little extra to account for loss of fat post operative, which is reabsorbed gradually by the body. You definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.

Answer: BBL results I think some people are disappointed about the results when they do not appreciate that the initial swelling contributes to the initial size. Usually it takes a few months to see the what is close to the final results.

Answer: BBL If (as you say) your surgeon is a great surgeon who has done a ton of BBLs; you will probably have a long lasting result. Brazilian butt lifts results are technique sensitive. Some otherwise great surgeons, who do a BBL every few months, lose a lot of the fat they transfer. Others who do many get outstanding retention and results. As for you expectations here goes; initially you will be delighted (as long as about 1000ccs are grafted), then on about Week 5 you may be disappointed (my staff call it buyer's remorse), then around month 4 you'll again be be delighted. When your before and after photos are placed side by side you won't believe how different you look. And judging by my patients you will look like that for the far foreseeable future.
