Dr. Hakki and the staff at Luxxery Boutique are phenomenal! I’m loving my results! I am most impressed with the bedside manner, family like atmosphere, and genuine care for patients! Super shout out to Stephanie Benson! She’s caring, attentive, and very patient!
Dr Hakki and the entire staff have been a pleasure to work with. Throughout the entire process from Consultation to now post-op care they have been easily accessible all while taking precautions dealing with Covid. I had a Mini TT with Lipo on 7 sites. He is very honest and forward. Will tell you what you need and don't need in order to get you where you want to be. Crystal the nurse is truly one of a kind. His entire operating staff will make you comfortable and take care of you.
I got a Drainless Tummy Tuck and Lipo of the back, arms and flanks. This is the best decision I’ve ever made. Dr. Hakki was super professional and straight forward about my appearance. He didn’t recommend a bbl because he said I had a butt...but it was hiding due to the fat around my waist. He’s also an artist. He drew my before shape and what I would look like with the procedure. I was completely sold! I was super nervous during the day of surgery. I cried the moment I walked into the preop room. His staff made me feel extremely comfortable. What I liked about his staff is that many of them were able to share stories of their own experience with Tummy Tucks and Lipo. If you’re in the Maryland area or are willing to travel, please consider Dr. Hakki. Also, my surgery was on 11/6/18. I didn’t feel my normal self until Thanksgiving. You will definitely need a bit of down time. The first week, I slept and caught up on my favorite shows. Now 7 months post op, I can now wear clothing that actually fits great and have developed much more confidence.
I am having a breast lift and augmentation & a minor revision to an old BBL/lipo TOMORROW...and I am absolutely petrified!!!!!!! I keep asking myself if I am sure I want to do this. I am so very nervous. I had BBL and lipo about seven year ago and I was super excited—and love my outcome! I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy on May 15, 2018 and considered it the beginning of a new life. And it was, indeed!!!!! I lost almost 60 pounds—from 263 to 206. I have NEVER regretted either procedure. My boobs paid the price. But I am 48...aren’t they supposed to sag now...!? I keep asking myself if I should quit while I am ahead. No one is supportive of my BL/BA. My husband is so upset as is my mom, aunt and best friend. I am doing this with ZERO emotional support from those I love most. I pray to God that my mental state will not impact my health. I also pray that my sisters online will send me positive messages to keep me strong. Amen. Updated on 24 Apr 2019: I was having MAJOR pre-surgery blues. I was absolutely scared yesterday and the day prior—kept asking myself WHY am I doing this!?? Am I testing fate for mere vanity? Do those around me really love me if they do not support what I want? Well, since the surgery yesterday my Mom has been a real angel. My husband has been supportive from afar. I return home in Friday’s! I only ended up getting a BL/BA and lipo on the inner thighs. I could stand the thought of an incredibly difficult recovery that would Have been necessary for a breast and booty lift at one time! I think God I did what I did. Anyhoo, getting sleepy...will share pix laterz. Updated on 25 Apr 2019: Yesterday’s post-op showed some beautiful perky breasts! As the hours went by, they went from glowing tight melons to bruised battered softballs. From the reviews I knew things look worse before they get better. So I went to see my surgical nurse only to be on the safe side. She said to do very soft massaging on the top of the implant area but do nothing more than keep them clean and dry. Here are pix fin this morning. They are a bit scary to me but no worse than what I’ve seen on this site for other folks. I will just keep praying that everything continues to go smoothly. Yesterday evening I had lymphatic drainage massage for the Lipo spots in my upper inner thighs and that was pure torture. The massage therapist and spent a lot of time reading some of the surgical fluid and directing it to escape through the lipo holes, Which she had to re-open because they had already started to close! I am still overjoyed that I’ve decided to pass on the BBL revision because I don’t know how I would have been able to rest or get around with anything else. Updated on 26 Apr 2019: So like last time I had inner thigh lipo, I had the beginnings of a big hematoma forming on the inside of my inner thigh. It looks and feels like you have a rolling pin inserted under the skin of both legs and it makes it impossible to walk without holding your feet “hip width” apart (6-10 inches apart). The therapist the doctor’s office referred me to was truly amazing. She did some swapping around so she could see me the same day. In the meantime, I made a “lymphatic appointment” at a posh spa in Old Town, Alexadria. Long story short, I found out that post surgical lymphatic drainage is what is needed. The plain ole lymphatic massage is no more than a light pressing that does NOTHING to rid the body of the excess fluid and blood mix. During my appointment in Kim Renee’s basement, which was decorated very nicely, professional and spa-like, she began with an infrared handheld light machine that she slowly skimmed over my entire body. Then she began with kneading motion to direct the fluid up and out of my legs. Many of the lipo holes had closed, sooooo she took a Qtip and basically rubbed the scab off (with alcohol, I think). The pain was almost unbearable!!!! Then when the holes were open, she pressed and squeezed with all her might—I was screaming by this point. She promised that when she got done, I would feel sooo much better—and I did. The session itself last about 30 minutes, with about 15 minutes of pure torture to release the swelling and excess fluid. The massage table was soaking wet by the end of my session and liquid was literally streaming down my leg from every hole. It took about 20 minutes to get me cleaned up and bandaged up to return home. It was an appointment well worth the $150 she charged for the hour. My legs, while still swollen some, are now heading in the right direction for healing. She stressed how necessary it is to DRINK, DRINK, DRINK water to keep down fluid retention. Today, I only washed my garment once and the lipo holes are no longer dripping fluid. Just a couple spots, nothin major. Updated on 30 Apr 2019: Hi ladies, it has been a week. I must say that I am elated with my results so far. I pray that I will continue healing smoothly and my incisions stay closed. I am not sure when I will be out of the woods recovery wise. I will continue following the doctor’s orders and avoid any issues. Heal well, all! Updated on 1 May 2019: So, I have been having a nagging pain under my left breast that will not go away. This morning I had some intermittent chest pain. I immediately began thinking of blot clots...soo...I drove myself to the ER. The doctor is wonderful—she wants to do tests to rule out blood clots anywhere in the body and ordered a CT Scan with Contrast and possibly a D-Dimer blood test which should rule out clotting anywhere. I am waiting for them to take me back now.... On a positive note, the nurse said my breasts look awesome!!???????????? Updated on 7 May 2019: This is truly a process. The shape is changing and so are the incisions. Still pleased and pray all continues to go well. My left breast is seeping brownish fluid along the lower incision. Plan on going in for a check today (my scheduled appt is on Friday). Updated on 8 May 2019: Ok, so I went to the surgeon’s office to check on why there was condensation under my left boob...the nurse said my breasts “could it be healing better” and to wear a Genie Bra or something like it to absorb moisture—I also inserted a portion of a panty liner to help wick any excess fluid/sweat. The main advice I get is “keep them clean &. dry.” Thank God there was no sign of infection or anything else. The blackish lines are scabbing and are healing normally. I go back on Friday for my scheduled visit. Updated on 12 May 2019: New pix—right breast looking good. Left side...not so much.... Updated on 12 May 2019: The girls are lifted (and healing) AMEN Updated on 16 May 2019: So I went to the surgeon’s nurse to check on my left breast. It turned out to be spitting a stitch...not just any stitch but a deep stitch that finally came to the surface. It was about an inch long once she pulled it out and it even had a knot in it—it was bright blue. I freaked the hell out! It was very painful to remove and left my breast stinging. When I got home the horror struck. The nurse left a deep gash under my nipple the size of a dime. It looks absolutely atrocious and really has me rattled. I will upload a picture before I take a shower. I must keep it clean by using Ivory soap (which they say is antibacterial). Also I am to use Bacitracin ointment. I pray it heals with no further issue. I even had to take an oxycodone yesterday and one again tonight to keep the stinging sensation down and to keep my nerves calm. Even after taking the painkiller I can still feel the stinging and relative discomfort. I thought I was out of the woods ...clearly I was wrong! Updated on 16 May 2019: Boobs are boxy and brutalized-keeping hope alive!!! Updated on 23 May 2019: Right breast looks great. Left breast is getting there! Updated on 26 May 2019: Since my surgery I have not had ONE personal appointment with Dr. Hakki. This is not acceptable. One of his nurses gouged a hole in my left breast a week and a half ago and it has not healed. I am not happy with this situation. For this reason, I have decided beyond a shadow of a doubt I will not be going back to this doctor for any future procedures. He is too hands off post surgery and he makes light of patient concerns. I will keep you posted on my progress. I pray my breast heals okay with minimal scarring given the post surgery butchering I received. Not. Happy. At. All!!!! Updated on 5 Jun 2019: The right breast looks great. The left is healing slowly. I switched to using a special type of foam bandage to cover the wound and keep it moist in hopes it would promote healing. When I covered it with cotton pads or strips of sanitary napkins it seemed to be drying out too fast and the tissue was not filling in. I was scared that it would get too dry and scar over with the gouge still there. I have used Bacitracin and a small wound dressing that’s an anti bacterial non stick bandage. I think it’s healing better this way. I go for A check up tomorrow —-the nurse said that she would check to see if I have any spitting stitches and I hope I do not because there is no way in HELL she is removing anything from my body tomorrow. They will just have to dissolve on their own...! I’m praying for a smooth appointment. Healing thoughts ... namaste Updated on 7 Aug 2019: My boobs seem to have settled into what they’re going to be, which is a lot better than what they were!!! The scars are slowly fading although I have not begun to use anything on them — I’m debating whether I should let them heal naturally or use silicone strips or cocoa butter or vitamin E — any input would be much appreciated.
I have my BBL soon (next week). I’m super scared and nervous. At first, I was excited but now it’s been replaced with fear :( I pray all goes well. I have everything I need, just counting down the days and hours. Updated on 10 Jan 2019: I had my procedure on Tuesday, 1/8. Everything went great! I’m so excited to see the results. I’ll keep everyone posted. Right now I’m still sore, Mostly in my thigh area. Dr. Hakki did great. I’m so glad I picked him as my surgeon. Updated on 10 Jan 2019: Updated on 11 Jan 2019: Swelling in thighs is still pretty bad and painful. Still a little sore but getting better day by day. Updated on 16 Jan 2019: 2 more days until I can actually sit down. Laying on my stomach is hating annoying now. Still feeling sore but getting better daily. No complications so far! Thank God. Updated on 16 Jan 2019: I totally forgot to add my massage experience. I scheduled my massage for the sane day as my surgery. BEST DECISION EVER!!!! I arrived home around 2pm and had my massage the same day at 6:30 pm. Kim-Rene is amazing. I took my pain meds before she came which really helped wit the pain. She was able to get so much fluid out. She did I only needed that one massage since most of the fluid came out. She was well worth the $200. The massage on the same day is a must.
Surgery Scheduled for This Monday, November 19th. I feel myself getting a bit anxious but i remember GODS word that reminds me to be anxious for nothing. I have been waiting to have this procedure for a very long time but haven’t been able to. After giving birth to my last little one...my husband paid for me to have this done. It’s been a long time coming as my oldest is 20 and my youngest is 1! I’ve carried this extra belly and skin around for so long that i don’t know how i will react to my new body! As a swimsuit designer, i May finally get a chance to comfortably wear my own brand! ???? I’ve researched this for many years and decided on Dr. Hakki and his team at the Luxxery practice in Waldorf MD. I am impressed with the Progressive Tension Procedure because of the lowered risk of infection related to drains, as well as the faster recovery time. I also like the fact that Dr. Hakki uses IV local anesthesia instead of General. I want to encourage anyone on here to do what makes them happy as long as it’s safe. Try to stay positive and love yourselves no matter what! Sorry for the long post. I will keep posting updates on my “after” and recovery in hopes to help someone...anticipating the same or similar procedures. Pics coming soon... Xoxo, K Updated on 21 Nov 2018: Had my procedure yesterday and i definitely underestimated the pain????. Boy was it bad! The pains are sharp and intense but want i have realized is that everyday counts and little by little condition approves. I am on meds now so I’m in no condition to take pics but i will later on in the week. I want to dr. Hakkis staff as they are the best in the business. Crystal, Cherry, Stacey, Kim Renee, Carla and Kelly as well as the receptionist (forgot her name) are truly the best in the business! They go above and beyond the all of duty and let me tell u...it gets no better than them! Dr. Hakki is amazing, he under promises and over performs. I’m less then 24 hours I can already see a major difference????. That includes my swelling!!! Can u believe it!? I am grateful that they include lymphatic massages as apart of their care treat at i extra charge! They put the patient first... i literally would have traveled out of town to see them if i weren’t local! Words cannot express how much i am moved by the professionalism and care they offered me! Before and After Pics coming soon...as soon as i get on my feet!!! Updated on 23 Nov 2018: Please excuse he last post...lots and lots of typos-i was under the influence of the pain meds.????. Pain still pretty bad but progress is evident every day. I want to give a very real perspective of my experience because a lot of the posts i read seemed easier and less painful then what i had endured. Maybe it’s too soon to judge but at day 4 i am completely wiped out just going to the bathroom. Again, i want to highlight the amazing Dr. Hakki and his fantastic staff!
When I first decided to get my butt done, I felt like pretty much anyone with a license could do the procedure. How hard could it really be? Just suck some fat out of one area, and inject it in my butt! Right? Wrong! I became extremely skeptical about the procedure after seeing some frightening results from some girlfriend's that had theirs done prior to me. There were multiple red flags that made me realize that I needed to do a lot more research if this was something that I still wanted to do. I saw lumps, I saw butt cheeks that were different sizes, I saw odd shaped butts, some that didn't look like they had anything done at all, and then a few that just looked super fake as if someone pumped up a balloon. After doing some hardcore research, I came across Dr. Hakki. Still afraid, I recommended him to another girlfriend so that she could go first and I could see her results first hand before I went. Her results were perfect! I waited 6 months after she had it done to take a final look at her results, it was still beautiful so I booked my consultation. What I quickly came to realize is that when Dr. Hakki says he's an artist, he means that literally. As I was describing my body goals to him, he was sketching them on paper. When I looked at the paper, what he had drawn wasn't necessarily a bigger butt, it was a more shapelier butt with a rounder curve, that sat up a little higher. It was proportioned perfectly to the rest of my body. What he had drawn looked extremely natural, almost if I had just been in the gym toning up and doing squats. It was my dream body... It's been 8 months and that dream has become my beautiful reality. He gave me a 100% delivery on what he drew on the paper during my consultation. The bottom line is this, everyone's body is different, so please don't allow someone to give you cookie cutter, manufactured looking butt. One size DOES NOT fit all! If you want the perfect butt, specifically designed for your body, at least schedule a consultation with Dr. Hakki so he can draw your vision and you can actually see it on paper, Even if you have to get on a plane, it's worth it! I can't forgot to mention how he is genuinely one of the nicest people you will ever meet, and his staff is FIVE STAR! So not only will you look good, but they make you feel like you're a family member. Dr. Hakki personally calls his patients after surgery, and they gave me a Surgery Survival kit that had everything I would need after the surgery. I feel so much better about myself, and I look amazing in all of my clothes! My life is forever changed, thank you Dr. Hakki and staff... Love you all!
I had a BBL MAY of 2017, yesterday I went in for my one year follow up. I am absolutely thrilled with my result!! It was actually scary to see my before picture (I had totally forgotten my old body). Yikes! One of main concerns prior to having the surgery was if I were to lose weight would my butt go away- I am happy to report it is still there and I have lost about 10lbs..THANK YOU DR.HAKKI AND STAFF FOR NOT ONLY MY TRANSFORMATION BUT TREATING ME LIKE FAMILY! YOu guys are the BEST!
I’m not very big on writing reviews unless everything went really well, or it was the worst and I’m sending a warning for others not to follow. I just finished getting one of Dr. Hakki’s drainless tummy tucks/lipo of bra roll/shelf/batwing. I’m a 47 year old mother who’s had a c-section, hernia surgery, and a myomectomy to remove fibroids. All of these different surgeries, coupled with carrying a son had left my stomach like many other women- a complete disaster area that while my husband never complained about- I very much wanted to change. I’m relatively active either walking the neighborhood, or attending the gym. I met Dr. Hakki, because I was very interested in this drainless method as I have read the numerous complaints of the irritating drains. I’ve also giggled at some of the creativity women have come up with to handle them for sometimes up to two weeks beyond their procedure. Dr. Hakki is an up front, experienced, and informative doctor, with an amazing team to back him up. Each step of the way, I was treated with complete respect, from every phone call, email, and yes multiple visits before I made my final selection to have my procedure right here in the local DMV - Luxxery located in Waldorf. Yes I did visit two other popular locations, and yes prices did fluctuate both higher, and lower at the other locations I visited. I’m in the hospitality business, and I have never felt more comfortable during a medical procedure in my life. I did my research and then scheduled my date for this past Thursday morning. Although my husband was aware of me wanting this for many years, he was not very comfortable once the big day came. Dr. Hakki and his team put his mind at ease prior to my surgery, and he even wrote a review right after my procedure was done. No question went unanswered, and I am only on day 4 of recovery, and I simply can’t wait to start uploading some photos. I met two women who were trying to decide if they would move forward with Dr. Hakki and his team the next day for my post-op appointment. Ladies I was able to walk, and go through my examination just fine. So many were shocked how well I was getting around on the day after. I can’t imagine adding drain maintenance to the list, and I’m so glad I didn’t have too. I can confidently highly recommend Dr. Hakki for his professional experience, my results which will only continue to please me, and his wonderful experienced team made my tummy tuck journey well worth it, and not a situation that some other doctor has to fix, or give me results that I’m not happy with. This is an investment, not only because of the financial cost, but because of the toll it will take on your work schedule, your care takers, and yourself. I am lucky enough to have both my husband, and my son to help me during my recovery- mostly my husband of course, and a group of friends who have been texting me while I get better. I’ll upload some photos when I can, and if you live in the DMV, make sure you check out Dr. Hakki and his team of professionals.
Dr . Hakki and his staff couldn't be more amazing , great bed side manner , amazing people & results . He took the time to answer all my questions before hand , he told me to write down every question I had - I can in and we had a sit down meeting and he answered everY single one . He does not promise miracles , we have to be realistic - but he's an artist !!!
So many factors play in BBL results, the most crucial one is how much fat you have left elsewhere, and who did your original two BBLs. If the surgeon was a board certified plastic surgeon who operated at a certified facility and had done a ton of BBL’s you are in good hands. If not see one. You should ask how many BBLs have you done on women in my situation doctor? Do not settle for a vague answers. A minimum of fifty a year would be the answer I would accept. Good luck.
The question is not if you can fly, or when you may fly. The question is why are you going to Miami to get an augmentation? If the answer is cost, or photos you’ve seen on a website, please consider seeing someone local before flying off to get something that can be done everywhere. See a local board certified Plastic surgeon who’s done a ton of breast augmentations and operates at a certified facility, and you will be in good hands. Consider asking the Miami plastic surgeon if he (or she) has medical malpractice insurance. This, sometimes, is the reason why you may be getting a cheaper rate, but it may not end up cheaper...in the long run.
You would benefit from what i term a “cherry” procedure. It trims the overhang and suctions the rest. See a board-certified plastic surgeon who does a ton of Tummy tucks and lipo and operates at a certified facility, and you will be in good hands. Do not shy away from asking how many of this procedure have you done on patients who look like me in the last year doctor? Do not accept vague answers.
Traditional lipo suction under anesthesia, if superior to other techniques when performed by a board certified plastic surgeon, who operates at a certified facility and has done a ton of liposuction. Just ask yourself: do I wanna be awake and saying ouch while the surgeon is operating? If the answer is yes, then both technique are an option, if no...see someone who is a specialist in the field.
You are a good candidate for lipo if you crave a better shape, without concern for the tightness of the skin left behind. See a board-certified plastic surgeon who does a ton of liposuction, operates at a certified facility, and ask her (or him) “how many women who look like me did you do liposuction on last year doctor?” Do not settle for vague answers, and you will be in good hands.
