Is my waist going to shrink anymore?After liposuction how long does it take to see the end results? (photo)

Question

Hi I had a liposuction done on my whole abdomen,waist and upper back and lower back and a BBL.I was 118 pounds height 5.1" the day I had my surgery.Currently I am 4 weeks of post of.And at my slimmest I had 25" waist.So I was just wondering if my waist will go down anymore!I am trying to keep my weight to 118-120 pounds as my previous weight.Should I not eat a lot of white rice because I do now!

I appreciate
your question.It takes 3-6 months to see final results from liposuction and swelling to subside.  Keep wearing your compression garment and follow your surgeon's post op instructions for optimal results.

The best way
to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.

Thank you for providing your photos. It looks like you got a great result. At 4 weeks post op, you still have some inflammation that needs to resolve in the places where you had liposuction. So, it's a bit too soon to determine your final result. It is always best to share your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon.If eating white rice did not interfere with your weight before the surgery, then it should not hinder anything now. Keep in mind that your fat cells that are now in the buttocks will behave the way they did before. They will expand and contract based on your diet, metabolism etc. Therefore, if you lose weight, they will shrink. My recommendation is to talk with your surgeon to keep the lines of communication open, but not worry too much. You're still in the healing phase.Good luck.

All plastic surgery procedures require healing. Healing is a precise physiologic process that we all go through and the timing of the different phases of healing is always the same. In general, following liposuction, final results are not usually seen until 4 to 6 months afterwards. For sure most of the changes occur in the first month or so but there is residual fullness which can take quite a bit of time to go away. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon
