Will I be fine to fly and go on a cruise after Lipo/BBL?

Our patients use girdles for 6 weeks and start therapeutic lymphatic drainage and ultrasound massages in the liposuctioned areas, which continue daily for a total of 10 sessions. Patients canreturn to light activities almost immediately after surgery, normal activities 2 weeks after surgery, and vigorous exercise 4 weeks after surgery. We usually experience a slow steady improvement for 3 months or so after surgery. That said, you should be fine by september for traveling. Best is to check with your chosen surgeon.

Thank you for your question.  By that time, you should be fine.  Every doctor has different sets of recommendations for post op recovery.  I recommend no sitting for at least 2-4 weeks and abdominal compression garment for 6 weeks but best to speak to your surgeon.  All the best,

Your travel plans are about 4  months after you surgery. You should be ok unless you have some unusual complication after surgery. Always best to get clearance from your surgeon as you progress.
