Hello,It is best to wait 6 weeks until you can resume sexual activity. However, you should consult your surgeon for post-op instructions.I hope this helps!Best wishes,
Hello,Thank you for your question. I advise 3 weeks with no cardio exercise- including sex. 6 weeks with no aggressive breast touching. Ask your Plastic Surgeon what they think is best for you.Take care
In my experience it's best not to involve the newly operated breast in sexual activity for the first month. You should ask your own surgeon about precautions and advice of course.
Great question. I tell all of my patients to wait one month after undergoing a breast augmentation procedure before resuming normal sexual activity. Although rare, complications can happen even 3 weeks out as a result of the exertion, elevated heart rate and blood pressure from sexual activity. That said, I suggest you discuss this with your surgeon prior to the procedure, as it's essential that you follow his specific post-operative protocol.
For breast procedures, it is best to wait at least One Month before having sex. Be sure to pay attention to your incisions—they are prone to infection and bleeding if not properly taken care of. Waiting to have sex until they are healed can considerably reduce risks.
Sex is exercise. You should not participate in any activities that can significantly raise your heart rate or cause excessive movement in your breasts for two after your breast augmentation. The antibiotics that you are taking to prevent infection may interfere with your birth control pills, so use another form of protection while you are on antibiotics.
Thank you for sharing your question. Assuming breast play is avoided or limited most patients can return to sexual activity two weeks after surgery. This assumes that you heal well and without issue or complication. Hope this helps.
Each surgeon will have different protocol for postoperative care. The norm is that a patient can return to sexual activity 2 weeks post surgery. Consult your surgeon as he/she knows the specifics about you and the scope of surgery.
Your plastic surgeon will always be your best resource when it comes to specific instructions in regards to returning to activities. Generally speaking, best to limit strenuous activity for at least 2 weeks after breast augmentation surgery, assuming you are doing well and there have been no complications. Care should be taken during the first two weeks after surgery not to allow for elevation of heart rate, blood pressure, and/or direct trauma/contact to the chest wall. Generally speaking, most my patients are able to return to lower body exercise at the 2 week post operative mark, wait to lift/run for about 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. Other exercises, involving the pectoralis major muscles, may resume several months down the line, if not longer. In other words, start slow and "listen to your body" as you gradually progress in intensity/duration of all activities including sex and exercise. Best wishes.
Most plastic surgeons will have differing opinions on this question. I tell our patients that sexual activity can be safely done at two weeks postoperatively. Hope that's helpful.
