Dr. Reilly built his reputation on trust and personalized care in Trumbull, Connecticut and Bedford, New Hampshire as well as surrounding areas. His expertise in plastic surgery is the reason he was appointed as Chief, Section of Plastic Surgery at the Griffin Hospital. He is Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Quinnipiac Medical School.
It took me years to decide to seek a Plastic Surgeon who could perform an abdominoplasty and face lift who had excellent credentials, experience and was in high regard by medical professionals who have worked with him and past patients. After a year+ of research, I settled on Dr. Reilly who had just expanded his practice in CT to include NH. He provided the services I was seeking and assisted me with other services I sought. I found Dr Reilly to be attentive, caring, honest and patient, while educating me as to what each procedure involved and how it would or would not meet my expectations. With each procedure, however, he exceeded my expectation! I am a 68-year-old woman and was nervous when I first walked in the door of his practice. However, from the very first moment I was greeted with kindness and understanding. Dr Reilly quickly gave me the confidence I needed to move forward with my goals. Never had I experienced such personal service and individual follow up with any medical professional as I did under his medical care. I am VERY HAPPY with my results and wish I did it years ago! Additionally, the entire office staff and medical support team, specifically Sarah and Ellen, have been wonderful and completely there for any questions or support I may have needed before, during and after my procedures…truly knowledgeable and helpful. This has been a private journey, and I appreciated the professionalism and respect I received from the entire practice making me feel personally cared for as their patient. I can encourage any reader to have confidence in choosing Sterling Plastic Surgery and Dr Reilly to service your plastic surgery needs. You wont regret it!
I cannot express how great my experience was from start to finish with Dr. Reilly. I had received top surgery with him, and was very anxious about the whole process. He was extremely thorough, explaining the entire procedure, recovery, and effects. The staff was also extremely welcoming, warm, and affirming. I felt no judgement and everyone used my preferred name and pronouns without fail. Even right before the surgery, I was calm because the entire hospital was nice, respectful, and explained everything. If there are any other transgender FtM patients who are interested in top surgery, do not hesitate to reach out to Dr. Reilly's office. Everyone is informed and extremely kind. The fact I was a 42H and now completely flat is a miracle. I also felt comfortable reaching out whenever I was slightly worried about something. I also want to point out that I am a chubby POC. Oftentimes in the community we do not see representation of fat, BIPOC transmen. I wanted to let those like me know that regardless of melanin or weight, you can have a completely flat, masculine chest with thin scars. I was so nervous about large, dark keloids, but instead I just have a thin, pale line that extends from one side of my body to the other, and reshaped pectorals. I had the privilege of being able to pay out of pocket for the surgery, but there are insurance options available. I can't thank him and the staff enough for my incredible experience!
I can honestly say that Dr. Reilly is the most caring, thorough, experienced, kind-hearted doctor that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. His staff at the office is equally as great. My procedure was 2 years after a weight loss surgery that left a lot of loose skin. The surgeon that did that Gastric Sleeve recommended Dr. Reilly to me. I am now happier with my body and am down several clothes sizes since the skin removal. I'm an active 66 year old woman who feels 30!! He's the absolute best in his field I trusted him and his staff and highly recommend them
Dr. Reilly and his staff were nothing short of amazing! The service and attentiveness to my questions and needs were all there and they did a fantastic job reassuring me of the ease of the in-house lipo procedure. It was so so so worth it! I felt no pain or discomfort during the procedure and the results were almost instant afterward - night and day difference on my chin and jawline! If you are even thinking about it - DO IT! Between the affordability (being able to use CareCredit), the amazing Dr. and staff, and the super-easy recovery, you will not be disappointed! 10/10 would highly recommend!
As a thin trans woman getting feminine curves at the gym has its limit. I found Dr. Reilly online and scheduled a consult . The consultation process was super easy and he did a great job of laying out what he could accomplish with relatively small amount of donor fat, and what my options were for achieving the aesthetic I was looking for. He was confident but set reasonable expectations along the way for my body type. I booked my procedure. The staff did a fantastic job of preparing me for the day of. We did an in office procedure which alleviated a ton of anxiety. The procedure was shockingly easy. Dr Reilly was super confident and that certainly helped, as I'm generally pretty nervous about most things. There was some occasional discomfort during the procedure , but I'd describe it as painless. The only night where I struggled was that first night. Other than that it was not painful or difficult. Dr. Reilly even checked in on me that evening which was great and set me so much at ease. The results are looking fabulous and I'm extremely happy with how it's shaping up. I'm still healing, but Where the fat is sitting is exactly what I was looking for! This was so much easier than I expected and I love the results!!
Dr. Reilly and his team were such a delight to work with. Having entered his office full of concern and vulnerability, the whole staff was there to ease the unknown of my procedure. Dr. Reilly is precise, professional and highly knowledgeable regarding my wants while simultaneously being conservative on my expectations. He is not the doctor that will upsell you on procedures you do not need especially during your aftercare, and that made me trust in him right off the bat. He treated me like family and I listened to every instruction with intention. He was available every step of the way by phone when and if I was unsure of anything post operative. Follow his lead and you will absolutely LOVE your new body! I can’t wait to go back ;)
I have been exercising for years and had a certain mid section that was too stubborn to budge. I'm a big boned individual so i didn't have super model expectations and Dr. Reilly was honest about that as well. With that being said from the moment I called Kristy was so friendly and welcoming and then meeting Jenny (doctor's assistant) there was no stupid question in his office. I worked well with Dr. Reilly because he is a very calm individual which suited my nerves especially on surg day. The preop,post-op procedures were all seamless and I waited a year to leave this review because I wanted to make sure my body was fully healed and I gave someone my full experience. I would do everything again with Dr Reilly. He even answered his cell with any of my questions. I did a few consults with other doctors in which I had paid for but this was the best decision I could have made. May I also add that Griffin Hospital was amazing as well. Bein g a private hospital they were all so nice and caring. Dr. Reilly is worth meeting and I'll let his work speak for itself with my photos. Please note surgery is not a miracle one still needs to remain healthy and active!
I had a great experience with the Dr. Reilly and his assistants for my in-office lipo procedure. The down time was a lot shorter than typical lipo performed in a hospital and they all made me feel super comfortable especially Jenny. My results are great and it’s only been 3 months. Definitely recommend for any procedure.
I couldn't be happier with the tummy tuck performed by Dr. Riley. From the initial consultation to the final result, Dr. Riley and the entire team were exceptional. Dr. Riley's expertise and attention to detail were evident throughout the process, and I felt confident in their hands every step of the way. The results exceeded my expectations, and I now have the flat, toned abdomen with natural looking belly button I've always dreamed of. I highly recommend Dr. Riley to anyone considering a tummy tuck. Thank you, Dr. Riley, for your skill and dedication to your patients' well-being!
From start to finish very friendly and professional. The procedure was stress free and recovery uneventful. Very pleased with results and still expecting more improvement. Would recommend Dr. Reilly to anyone seeking quality cosmetic surgery.
Hello, side effects of steroid injections could be talangeactasia which are little spider veins that develop on the surface of the scar, lightening of the skin, as well as loss of fat. In addition, as the steroid weakens the thick scar it may have a tendency to spread. Since you're not even a year out and you've had some unsatisfactory results from treatment the first thing should be to do nothing else! You can try some over-the-counter silicone tapes a there are minimal risk. In some patients it can help flatten the scar. After about a year or so from the surgery if you're still dissatisfied with the scar you can consider excision of the scar. The difference being that during that procedure the tension will be much less than from the tummy tuck and your body is likely to respond differently. As well, you have the experience of knowing scar therapies after any further surgery should be started sooner than later. Good luck.
Hi, I'm sorry you're not happy with your surgical results. There's a discrepancy between the flatter lower half and the more full upper half. If you have more fat available elsewhere best to place it in the areas of the lower buttock. If you don't you can remove it from the upper half and put it into the lower half. Just a simple idea of supply and demand always trying to keep the best shape of the buttock.
Hello, a couple things to keep in mind. From what areas will the 750 cc's be removed? You have to ensure you preserve shape not just bulk removal. What is the pinch quality of the skin and will it retract (shrink) after the fat is removed or will there be irregularities in the surface of the skin? Does the 750 cc's include the fluid portion that is removed with fat or just the fat? I think 750 cc's of pure fat from each buttock is something you may not be happy with. Good luck.
Hello, I am sorry you're dissatisfied with your previous surgery. Of note, I would consider scar therapies as you appear to have hypertrophied (thick) scars. Some patients may see a benefit with 6 weeks of silicone tape and others with cortisone injections. If you do have an additional procedure I would be mindful of starting scar therapies a few weeks after surgery in hopes of preventing thick scarring again. You appear to have a small amount of excess fat and excess skin. Two options as I see it. One option is liposuction alone where you decrease the volume on the bottom part of the arm that is currently hanging and you may get some skin contraction and possibly avoid a much larger procedure. Most plastic surgeons are able to perform this type of liposuction in the office. If you want a more reliable results then you need repeat surgery to treat the skin excess. I almost always perform liposuction at the same time as the brachioplasty to maximize results. This includes liposuction on the outside part of the arm to make it appear more toned and athletic. Good luck!
Hello, congratulations on your weight loss. Your heart, lungs and joints thank you! I perform many combination procedures on patients like yourself with multiple areas of excess skin that need to be removed as there is no other effective treatment. The trade-off of course is scarring. I council my patients to simply make a list of the areas that bother them, in order, and approach it that way. You may be able to combine your number one and two procedure or even all three, depending on what they are. For example if arm surgery requires two weeks recovery to get your back to the office and a breast lift required two weeks, doing them together doesn't necessarily increase the amount of time needed as you are recovering from multiple procedures simultaneously, not adding the recovery times together. When I perform multiple simultaneous procedures we tend to add a little bit more to the recovery time overall. Good luck!
