I work at a warehouse so heavy lifting is required though not often I wouldn't want to risk it. I assume I wouldn't be able to fully return to work until about 2-3 months post op though I know everyone's body is different. My issue is that I can't sustain my bills while out of work and I know I can't go on a paid leave per my work as it's by choice not medical reasonings. Any information will help, thank you.

Answer: Unemployment Dear AshlieKelley, you probably won't get unemployment for a recovery period after an elective procedure. But, you will get the most accurate information if you consult your HR department. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
