I am 20 years old and had a breast reduction when i was 18. I am really happy about my results, but my scars kind of bother me. I also miss having rounded breast with more shape. I wonder if i has impants, would they sit better to hide the scares underneath the breast. I’m not concerned with the vertical scar, that one is not visible in bathing suits like the ones that come up around into my cleavage.
Answer: Scars You can have implants to help give better upper breast fullness and revise with a lift for more tightening. However, the medial scars between your breasts will still stay. Micro-needling may be helpful.

Answer: Breast shape Implants would provide more fullness to the breasts, however it is important to keep in mind that you wanted smaller breasts when you had your reduction and this will make them larger. You can consider scar revision to help with scars that did not heal optimally. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to discuss your concerns and learn about your options.

Answer: Laser treatments can be done to reduce appearance of scars Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. Topical skincare should be directed to a specific need, whether for pigmentation or hypertrophy and our office can guide you through the process to obtain the correct Plato’s Scar cream or Melarase cream for hypertrophy and discoloration. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. All of these have their individual benefits. Most of all, we recommend you visit a solid plastic surgeon who understands surgical scar revision, laser therapy, and RF therapy for scars. Answer: Implants after breast reduction You could certainly add implants to improve fullness in the breasts. However, you are now taking a step back and will have a larger breast, which was presumably causing symptoms that led you to the reduction in the first place. So I would approach that cautiously. I would not anticipate that the implant will hide the scars seen in your photos.
