Your photos suggest you may have a very mild form of tuberous or constricted breasts. Confirmation would require an examination by your surgeon. He or she can discuss any options for treatment.

Tubular breasts are characterized by a constriction of tissue around the nipples. In the last photo, it appears that there may be some constriction, albeit on the milder side.

Hi, thanks for your question. You do have some of the features of tuberous breasts, such as a constricted lower pole, however I would say that these appearances are on the milder end of the spectrum. Advice would depend on what you wished to achieve, but you could achieve a natural more rounded breast shape with a well sized and selected implant. I would recommend a face to face consultation with a plastic surgery that specialises in aesthetic breast surgery.

Your breasts are not tubular but are small. You would benefit from a breast augmentation with small silicone implants retro-pectoral through a peri-areola approach. The peri-areola approach will allow the repositioning of the nipple-areola more centrally to increase the cleavage.

Good question. ​Without examining you it is difficult to be certain but based on the photos it does appear as though you do most likely have a mild form of tuberous, or tubular, breasts. This is something that can be corrected as part of a breast lift or augmentation as long as your surgeon recognizes it and releases the constricted areas appropriately. Meet with a few board-certified plastic surgeons in your area until you feel comfortable that one can do the job that you want. Best of Luck!

Tubular breasts usually display a shorter distance from nipple to fold and a much larger areola, which contains the majority of the breast tissue.

Constricted breasts share some of these characteristics without being as significantly affected. Many patients benefit from breast augmentation, which adds more volume to the breast and makes the areola less noticeable in some cases with internal scoring of the fibrous tissue in the breast. Other patients also benefit from an areola reduction procedure.
