When safe to shower after TT and gynecomastia? (Photo)

I generally love my patients to shower after both gynecomastia and tummy tuck operations on the morning after. You have to check with your own doctor to see what they suggest. It is much too early to assess your results.

Not being aware of the types of garments your doctor has applied post-surgery, you will need to check with the office and ask the question directly. You'll feel great after your first shower!

I recommend my patients shower three days post procedure and ask that they don't sit in a bathtub or in water until at least five days after the last drain is removed and only if there are no open wounds or problems.  At this stage there is still quite a bit of swelling.  Most patients lose seventy percent of their swelling in the first three months and the rest in ensuing months.
