So about 10 years ago(19 yo) i lost about 30 kg in about 4 months, this left me with massive lose skin in the tummy area, and just 4 years ago (25 yo) i had a tummy tuck without liposuction on the side areas (lovehandles) since then I have always had this love handles and dog ears and cant get rid of them, but i don't know if i just need to lose more weight or if its necessary to do liposuction on the lovehandles. I'm currently 29 yo, i weight 86 kg and my height is 1.81. Thanks in advance
Answer: Weight loss or lipo after tummy tuck. I don't really see that you have dog ears but rather excess fat on your hips. I would recommend either weight loss or liposuction. Lipo would be the faster fix clearly. Skin excision for dog ears is necessary when you have small pouches of skin and fat at the end of your scar. I don't see this is your photos.

Answer: Remove dog ears + liposuction or just lose weight? Hi... thank you for the question and photos... Flanks (love handles) are very hard and sometimes imposible to get rid of only with exercise... a Liposuction could really help you with just great results

Answer: Remove dog ears + liposuction or just lose weight? Thank you for your questions and photographs. Congratulations on maintaining your weight loss and continuing your exercise regimen. I think you have a very nice result, but I can see your areas of concern with your love handles. If on physical exam there is a small amount of residual fatty tissue there, in office liposuction can be done to remove this slight excess, assuming your skin has maintained good tone. The pictures do not adequately demonstrate your love handle dog ears, however. If they are small, then at the same time as your liposuction, a small office procedure to smooth them can be done. Diet and exercise may improve the appearance of both areas, but from your narrative it sounds that these are more diet resistant areas, so surgery may be the best treatment option.

Answer: Dog ears in males after tummy tuck... How to address it? Congratulations on your procedure and thanks for sharing your question. I can appreciate your concern. Your contours seem adequate. Remember that males have a more developed oblique muscle on the side. It seems to me that your love handles are more related to the muscle rather than fat. However, differential diagnosis can only be done with physical examination. In your case assuming that this is fat, weight loss should be my first step. Then you can consider lipo and finally surgery if no improvement. Finally, make sure that you have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes in after weight loss surgery. Wishing you the best in your journey

Answer: Remove dog ears + liposuction or just lose weight? Given your history of weight loss and previous tummy tuck, you would probably be a good candidate for dog ear resection and/or a small flank liposuction. From your photos, this may be done under a local anesthetic. Check back with your previous surgeon, he/she should be able to help. Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
