Voluma on a patient with eczema - is it risky?

There shouldn’t be any interaction between your eczema and Voluma, so long as you receive treatment when you are not in an active phase of the disease. Ideally, the dermatologist who is rejuvenating your face with Voluma is the same one who is treating your eczema. If not, be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist when you are ready for Voluma injections to be sure you are not treated in an area that is prone to flares. 

Hello and thank you for your question!  Injecting voluma for patients who have dermatologic conditions is acceptable as long as the injections are not at the site of concern.  I would recommend an evaluation with a board certified injector who you may discuss your concerns and goals with. The experienced injector will certainly advise you of the proper time-frame to inject around any flare-up.  I hope this information helps and best of luck!

As long as the eczema is not at the site of injection, I generally do not object to injecting Voluma for eczema patients.  Without an exam, it will not be possible to fully evaluate you and give you recommendations. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons.
