Wow. Just wow. I'm a 49 year old woman and over the past few years I've noticed my jowls were starting to sag. After months of considering the Silhouette Instalift procedure, I finally scheduled a consultation last week with Dr. Desvigne (he was recommended by another PS that didn't offer the SIL at his practice). After meeting with Dr. Desvigne, I chose to more forward with the procedure that same day - am I glad I did! I left an hour later looking younger and refreshed. The SIL completely resolved my sagging jowls and my once youthful "heart shaped" face was restored. I can't stop looking at my face lol - bye bye saggy jowls! There was minimal discomfort, and in fact, the only slight pain was when the lidocaine was being injected. I had zero bruising and only slight swelling for one day. Dr. Desvigne and his staff are professionals and very friendly; we were literally playing "name that tune" during my procedure. I enthusiastically recommend!
I had a an absolutely fabulous fabulous Juvederm treatment in two parts, first by Doctor Desvigne then by his nurse practitioner Holly. No rush by either one of them as they are Artists in the true sense of the word! Both Dr Desvigne and Holly look at your face and discuss what areas trouble you and then discuss what they can do for you. Then they go to work. The lips and upper lip and surrounding areas are quite sensitive and both the Doctor and his nurse are highly skilled with many years experience. Since they do not rush the treatment you feel quite at ease. I was made very comfortable on a reclining chair at the correct angle sipping chilled lemon water at intervals. The view from the luxurious Scottsdale offices of the mountains was a great distraction. . Prior to the treatment I had numbing cream applied to prepare for the injections and soft ice packs to applied right after the injections. I was very impressed as after my treatment on Friday I was a bit concerned that my upper lip was a bit fuller than my lower lip. I emailed the website requesting an apointment on early Monday. Within five minutes of sending the email on Sunday morning I had a phone call from the nurse and an appointment set up for Monday. Holly the nurse knew I had a Wedding to go to and so expressed her concern that I get the my lips just right for the occasion! Later that afternoon Dr Desvigne himself called me just to make sure everything was OK ! That is the kind of Platinum Service you can expect from Doctor Desvigne and his team at Coolbody Contours. I had been a patient of Dr. Desvigne's three years ago for an ear lobe reduction and he had given me just the same kind of superb treatment and after care service. I returned to Coolbody Contours on Monday and Holly took immense care to make sure that my lips were perfectly even. I was very satisfied with the results and I flew to my wedding destination on Wednesday night with no bruising or swelling. I was so delighted with the treatment that I signed up for a package of ten Coolsculpting sessions with a great bonus of ten complimentary skin tightening treatments. I find Dr. Desvigne's treatments to be extremely reasonable and about 40% less then two Salons I have been to one in Ahwatukee the other in North Scottsdale. Coolbody Contours frequently have great value packages with complimentary treatments. Another great feature is that Coolbody Contours offers interest free financing so you can spread the cost of your treatments over a period of time, making many of the treatments highly affordable My personal experience from all the treatments I have received at Coolbody Contours is unlike any other I have received elsewhere in my eight years of living in Arizona. It also surpasses any treatments I have had in Paris ,Switzerland or London. Dr. Desvigne and his staff give you a thorough understanding of what to expect before during and after a treatment. The care and perfection that Dr Desvigne and Holly gave me during these treatments made me feel extra special. Thank you and I will keep coming back for more treatments.
I had an Absolutely fabulous experience with Coolbodycontours Contours performed by both Kim and Aja. They both took great care to explain the procedure so I knew what to expect and took Photos so in a couple of months I will b able to asses the final results. I sat in a comfy chair with plenty of pillows sipping lemon mineral water and chilled for the next hour listening to an audio book. Two areas can be treated at once Coolbody Contours currently has an amazing promotion running that I opted for. I paid for ten treatment areas that entitled me to ten complementary laser skin tightening treatments. I checked with other spas and this was the most competitive price I could find with the bonus of the Skin tightening treatments I am really excited about the skin tightening treatments which only take ten minutes a session and I have my first face and neck treatment next Friday. The Spa has a fabulous relaxing feel to it. Everyone who works here is highly skilled with years of experience. A huge bonus was an Aromatherapy foot massage which Aja gave me for nearly an hour during the Coolsculpting. Aja is an exceptional nurse ,Coolsculpting practioner and she took great care to ensure that I was comfortable and relaxed throughout the procedure I was given clear instructions on post treatment care. Results may be visible as early as two to three weeks but the most dramatic outcome will be seen in ninety days. The really exciting thing about Coolsculpting is that once the Fat is gone it does not return. Also this is a noninvasive procedure with no downtime. I had my first procedure yesterday with absolutely no bruising or side effects. I am delighted to have found Coolbody contours spa and will be making full use of the many services they offer. Another feature about this Spa is that they offer interest free financing which is very attractive as you can spread the cost of treatments over a period of time and so not have to pay for everything upfront.
My experience at Coolbody Contours was second to none. The atmosphere is upscale, and Dr. Desvigne's team is attentive and see to your every need. I had a full day of Coolsculpting. One would think from start to finish that you might feel uncomfortable, but Kim eased my mind from the beginning. She could practically read my mind of where I wanted to eliminate the extra baggage, and since she had experienced a treatment herself she could tell you exactly what you would feel when the applicator was applied. All in all my experience was a fantastic one. With your recent addition of the Sciton laser, I will definitely return for other services.
After carefully looking in to the cool sculpting technique, I choose Dr. Desvigne in Scottsdale because of his stupendous reputation, detailed approach, and kind bed-side manner. I have seen some of his work and believe me, I plan to have him do my neck, chin and forehead once I complete my sessions of cool sculpting. As far as the cool sculpting goes, it was a breeze! I have done 8 areas and the results are amazing! My clothes fit great and my bulge when wearing my bras and bathing suits is gone! The technitions and the staff contributed to a very pleasant experience. I also did not develop any bruising or discomfort. I did stop aspirin and some vitamins as a precaution. I highly recommend Dr. Desvigne and have great faith in him for all my cosmetic procedures!
I wanted to look younger to fit with how I feel and otherwise look, as I still have a nice figure. Thought I would get LSL's info and then go home and think about it. After learning I could save several thousand but only that day, signed on to the lift and a brow lift. $7000. Appt. was for 11 AM the next day but by the time I got home received a call telling me to be there at 6AM. Not convenient as I lived 2hrs. away. But I showed, and they said no makeup so I complied other than some lipstick to brighten my face a bit. They made me remove it for the ghastly pictures they take of you prior to surgery. Horrible lighting, backround and a high powered expensive camera. I was told to take a 10mg valium prior to arrival and was given another one while there. I could not feel them at all. Asked for whisky after first round of shots-lost count. Doctor left the room while I laid there shaking and with teeth chattering. Came back and gave more shots and began the cutting. I heard him cut what sounded like thick layer of skin, but only once. Judging by how I look, I don't think anymore was cut off. I have scars for a brow lift, but no evidence one ever happened. Eyes still droop at corners. Looked pretty good the first month- went on a trip I'd planned a week later- added a fall to my already long hair to help hide the stitches. Got looked at by 30something and youger men! Then as the months passed- it is now month5 it all went away, the small jowls and lines near my mouth returned. The fine lines that had been smoothed away returned. I did not go for the one month pics they wanted....now I see why they want to see you then...but complained in writing to my Dr. who saw me a few weeks ago. They again took pics, I had on full make up, my hair was done (was not in first pics) and they used soft lighting and a cheap hand held camera instead of the fancy tripod model they used at first. The doc tried to get me to "see how far I'd come" by comparing these incomparable pictures as I pulled up my brows and cheeks and complained of jowls, lines and brow that sat on my eyelids. At one point I asked Which picture is that? It was a profile taken that day and the only way I could tell was by the earrings I was wearing....this went on for 20 min. He said he did not know what corporate would say but then reluctantly agreed to a revision in one month. As I was leaving, I coughed a little and he said rudely" Oh yeah you don't smoke, don't start. So what,if I smoked the whole mess would get blamed on that ? So last week I found this jewel of a doctor on real self, Dr. Remus Repta who saw me for free and told me what likely went wrong, looked at the pics they asked me to bring, was kind' caring, I must say I was quite impressed...and he is VERY handsome! His assitant borught me their pricing and offered to answer any more questions , no pressure, no used car atmosphere like LSL. The surgeons' fee was less than LSL only the hospital made it more expensive. Ladies, my advice is stay away from LSL, there are too many stories like mine out there. I've yet to decide whether to go back for the revision and would like to hear from those who have. Updated on 31 Mar 2013: I keep remembering other little tidbits so thought I'd add them to my review. During the surgery I felt a strong pulling on my left cheek and asked the Doc: " What are using, a winch?" He then asked me what a winch was and I said,"You know like on a tow truck" At the time I thought I was being pulled nice and tight, now I feel my skin was stretched beyond belief adding to the sagging I have now. Also during the post-op interview/complaint I was told "to let it settle" Excuse me? Let it settle? Like grout on saltillo floor?. Updated on 8 Apr 2013: Today I received a call from my Dr. who performed the surgery. He was concerned about my postings here and wants to meet with me posibly April 30 for a talk and revsion. Perhaps we were not clear about my expectations the first time and he wants to be sure he understands exactly what I expect. We disagreed on the cameras used for the before and after...He was very accomadative as to my living 2hrs away and would schedule the talk and revision for same day. I did not get the impression he was angry but does wish to preserve his rep as a surgeon. I was glad to hear that. The way people talk here I get the impression their doctors don't care, don't know what they are doing or both and I suppose I began to think of my Dr. the same way. H e spent a great deal of time talking to me and was courteous, stressed he wanted me to be happy and I am feeling better about seeing him again. Updated on 22 Apr 2013: I wish I had waited until this story was finished to write about it because as it turns out, most of this has been written while in the "anger phase" of my experience. The emotional impact of going from56 to 35 and back again to 56 is profound. It has been a 6month roller coaster of elation, joy, feeling I had a new lease on life to denial; and trying to 'talk up" the situation in my mind, convince myself the lines and sagging weren't there. When I could no longer deny the reality, I became angry, feeling mislead, lied to, played. I felt embarrassed, foolish. I was also angry with myself for not doing my homework. Now it seems I've moved on to a new, quieter phase; gloomy, depressed, in tears, hopeless. The last phone call from my doctor has given me some renewed hope as he genuinely seems anxious to correct the complaints that I have. He has remained upbeat, warm and kind throughout this ordeal and I AM confident in his skills as a surgeon. He has many years experience and has even performed surgeries for free in Haiti after the devastation there. This tells me its not all about money with him, that he really does care for people. I had practically no bruising, and I bruise easily! This, I believe speaks to the gentleness and expertise with which I was handled. The sutures were neat and tiny, the cuts paper thin. I was out 4 days later buying a B-day gift for my granddaughter, and 10 days later on the trip we had planned for the occasion. So I am not left questioning my doctor's skills as so many others have. Hopefully I'll be writing a happy ending to this saga soon and posting a new picture of me at 35. I really could have passed for 35 after the surgery!! My thanks to all who have written to comment, give advice, or share their stories. I have met many lovely people here. Updated on 22 Apr 2013: Today I received a call from my doctor's office to let me know the pre-op meds were being called in and to confirm the date and time for the revision. Other ladies I had noted, complained of being "put off" for these revisions, to the point where they finally gave up on it. So I was fearful of receiving the same treatment. This sounds like it is written in stone now! They are also allowing half an hour for the talk with the doctor before the procedure. Now I will have to psyche myself up again to get through all of the unpleasantries- picturing all of the ugly gone, recalling the exhilarating feeling of losing 20 years, being able to look in the mirror and liking what looks back.I will once again be able to stop pushing up the skin on my forehead and cheeks when I'm sitting relaxing. My husband hates that!! Also, I had purposely gained about 10 pounds so my face would appear fuller, but I don't feel good 10lbs. heavier! So that can go, too. Would be good to hear from anyone who has had their expectations realized after their revision. My appt. is one week from today (April30) Updated on 22 Apr 2013: I want to add a couple of bites about some things that happened to me that I never expected or dreamed of that first month while I was still looking great...My husband, grandson (13) and I were at a restaurant and the waitress overheard my grandson call me grandma. She looked utterly amazed and exclaimed "Grandma?! I thought you were Mom and Dad!!" In Jerome, as we were walking down the hill from the Grand Hotel I noticed young men, probably early 30's, looking at me approvingly. I had to laugh to myself as I thought "If only they knew they were eyeing a 56 yr. old grandma!" The ladies at the bank in the small town where I live know me well and actually did not recognize me when I came in and said as much. Luckily I was wearing a long fall to help hide the stitches and was able to say to them, "Yes, it's amazing what a little extra hair can do!" My mail lady would just stare at me when I was in the post office, as if trying to figure what was going on, she had a "knowing" expression on her face but was too polite to say anything. The check-out ladies at the dollar store looked puzzled, like they knew it was me but weren't sure, looking at my purse which they did recognize for a clue (I always carry the same distinctive purse) I walked by people who knew me casually who suddenly acted as though they did not know me!! This is life-changing stuff people!! My husband would sit and stare in amazement at me, saying I looked 18 again! He went from being a bit put out over the money he spent to saying that for the price of a used car he got a new wife. At one point he had tears in his eyes for joy over how happy I was. He began telling perfect strangers at the auto parts store that if they were married to a pretty girl they had better start saving for a facelift, because the girls won't let their looks go without a fight. Updated on 1 May 2013: Went for the revision yesterday and Dr. Desvigne was his usual warm, cheerful self. We discussed my expectations and I had the sense he saw the same things that I did that needed correcting. He even re-did the entire procedure as he was not quite happy with my neck. I was not expecting that, only expecting a bare minimum of work. But he is a thorough and a bit of a perfectionist type of doctor it seems and did not attempt to "cut any corners".Told me I was doing well during the procedure when I thought I was not!! Told me some jokes and even tried to find a jazz station on the radio for me. His assistant made me feel very comfortable in her presence. Later that evening he took the time to call and ask how I was doing, that was very nice and re-assuring. Between the pain meds and the ice everything is bearable- the pain seems a bit worse this go-around. He was kind enough to give me percocet which is a more effective pain reliever than the standard vicodin that is prescribed. On the phone he re-assured me he thought the procedure had gone well and that I would be happy with the results. So I am hopeful and hoping to post that pic of me looking 35 again soon!! Updated on 24 May 2013: Updated on 29 May 2013: Have posted 22 days pics and still holding up, trying to not get my hopes up that I will still look this nice after 2 mos! What a drag...think I'll wear that chin wrap every night forever, maybe that is the key. And use the inversion table everyday, too. Getting old is a drag but looking old is worse! Good luck ladies! Updated on 22 Jul 2013: Hello ladies, thought it was time to post an update as I am now almost 3 mos. post-op.While I still look better than I did before having any work I must admit I do not look as nice as I did the first month after revision. My jawline is not as clean and sharp and there are two slight bulges under my chin, on either side of the incision, one is more pronounced than the other. And I am still wearing the chin support wrap for hours and hours each night trying to prevent that! So now I am left wondering how far the failings will go....not a pleasant thought. Am wondering why it took longer to show signs of failure than the first surgery. The revision seemed to me to have been different. There was no cauterizing the first time and no bloody mess anywhere on me, either. During the revision I smelled the unmistakeable stench of burning flesh although the doctor told me he had done the same the first time around also....there was blood on the covering they had placed on my chest and the hair at the back of my neck was saturated. I chalked this up to perhaps he had gone deeper, addressing the SMAS layer that I was concerned had not been done the first time. So, this seemed to me a good thing and evidence of more detailed work. At this point I cannot say I am unhappy as I still look better than before anything was done, but I am seeing signs of it "coming undone" which is unsettling to say the least. Will try to get some pics up for you soon-
After three years of doing my best with working out and changing my eating habits my lower stomach has always bothered me! I did research on Lipo but was scared because of my age and not having any kids yet and didn't want to waste money haha! So I looked into CS which seemed legit after reading reviews and seeing pictures I scheduled consultants with a few offices to get a price range and see what I need. I went to three plastic surgeons offices which prices range from 500-825 per session. I need 4 session coolmax which equals two for my lower stomach and two for upper so 4 all together! I chose Coolbody contours Dr. Michael N. Desvigne :) the office staff were amazing and made me feel the most comfortable:) The most uncomfortable part was the first couple mins for me especially the coolmax because it's a bigger applicator after the hour was done the nurse took off the applicator and massaged the area which was so uncomfortable too! After a few mins it felt normal I guess it just depends on your pain threshold. Overall I'm excited to see results :) Updated on 2 Apr 2016: After my appointment I felt normal and did some errands and just relaxed the rest of the day. I woke up still a little tinder and sore with a little bruising. I picked up arnicare cream which helps with bruises and swelling. Updated on 5 Apr 2016: It's been a few days now and I'm still sore and tinder. The areas I had CS are numb and I keep getting this tingling sensation just a little discomfort but not much. I was back at work yesterday and today thank god it wasn't busy where I can relax and take it slow :) took a picture just to see progress and I can say I see a difference:) Updated on 8 Apr 2016: It's been one week since I had my CS and I have to say day 4-6was so painful for me I had to call my office and they said it's because the nerve endings are waking up! It literally felt like someone was ripping my insides out! I couldn't sleep or work! The office called in a prescription for me which helped but I could only take at night because it made you sleepy. I used my cream and ice pack and just layer in bed all day for those couple days :/ today though I feel good still sore and tinder to touch area but I'm not really experiencing any sharp/pinching pain or discomfort:) I've been drinking tons of water at least 4 1liters a day! I'm feeling better and might go to gym tomorrow:) Updated on 13 May 2016: It's been about 6weeks since treatment I went last week for my post op and pictures! I can see a change! I scheduled another treatment to do my lower abdomen again! I'm excited Updated on 22 Jul 2016: So I went in for my 90days on July 1st and quite frankly I was not happy with the outcome. The 90day pictures compared to my before pics I only saw about minimal difference! I left the office unhappy and honestly went to another office seeking more treatments because the office I went to for a second opinion guaranteed their work! I was surprised and went back to the first office where I had the treatment at wanting a refund! I spoke to the office where I had the CS at multiple times and they really wanted to fix the problem and get me results! So today was the day I went in for redo treatments! Two coolcores for lower stomach and two upper coolfit! Like always the only painful part for me is the massage! The office made me very comfortable :) they were able to do two machines on me! Which took the treatment time to two hours instead of four! Really hoping I see results because I don't know if I want to go threw it again! I'll keep you guys posted!
i was exited and nervous obviously to trusting. I had to have my first revision on one eye did Desvigne fixed it but with apprehension, it looked like I had a bee sting in the corner of the eye, when more swelling went down about 4months after the first surgery I noticed one earlobe was sutured past the jaw bone and the front of the lobe is puckered, I did some research and other surgeons call this pixie ear, cause the ear was tugged too far back, needless Ti say it's still hurts and I have a difficult time to lay on it. I saw him about this at this office at the life style lift and he said I couldn't expect this lift to last forever, I reminded him it hasn't been 6 months., again he rescheduled me for a revision March 20 of this year. I got a call today that LSL has closed its doors from a woman that said she was calling on his behalf, that they snuck I to the place to get my records and the dr. Would do my revision at his facility but now he wants more money. I'm not happy this has depressed me even more because not only will I hVe to have my procedure fixed but now I have to find the money. Don't trust anyone, some people are just out for the money and don't care ruining it for those that do. My eyes are not done properly either he didn't fallow through with the cut leaving my corners wrinkly. Updated on 18 Mar 2015: I've taken some pictures to show what I'm talking about. 1. Neck is now wider on right side, been letting hair grow to hide this. 2. Side profile of left side, this side looks normal except for scares by the ear and you'll notice droopy skin peeking from the right side which wasn't properly or evenly lifted, not hard to see when you look and compare the too sides there is a cut that wasn't made and sutured on right back/neck area. Apparently this doctor had no real patern to follow. 3. Picture is of right side, ear is sutured further back leaving my lob to appear abnormal, you can't see this but behind the ear the skin is puckered it was very uncomfortable still doesn't feel right. The skin along the jawline is also displeasing to the eye, linear lines and some sagging. 4. The upper lid has puckered skin above the corner, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that part of the upper lid which I just paid to have corrected? If you look closely you see how Dr. desvigne cut along the lid and finished the cut in an upward fashion like a fish tale. 5. This is the only face on pic I could find to show that I wasn't that difficult of a subject.
I was really having a tough year and I needed anything to boost my spirits. I went to CoolBody Contours for a consultation and was immediately impressed with how knowledgeable and kind the entire staff was. Then I met Dr. Devigne and knew right away that I would be in good hands. No need to search further, I knew what I was going to do. Dr. Desvigne is very caring and truly wants what is best for his patients. Before, during and after my procedures I had the pleasure of being in his surgical nurse Ashley's care. She is the most knowledgeable and kind nurse I have ever known, actually the best nurse ever! Although I am still healing from the procedures, I can see a huge improvement. I cannot praise the entire staff enough!
Dr Desvigne at cool body contours and his staff was everything to hope for and more. This is my second procedure in Arizona (first one done by a different doctor) and I would definitely recommend his office to anyone. The entire experience was truly worth every cost his receptionist Renee and nurse Ashley were very attentive to all my needs I am still in my healing process but the out come looks great if you are looking for a good plastic surgeon you will not be disappointed
Generally speaking, it is never recommended to keep a device or implant in the body that is not functioning. After all it is a foreign body. If a saline implant is deflated the free fluid generally is not harmful unless the body doesn't absorb the fluid "quickly enough". Then that fluid can become infected and cause more problems. Most often your body can handle the fluid but this is a small risk to be aware of, If you are "healthy " enough to undergo surgical removal, then that is what is typically recommended.
The flattened appearance may improve but after 10 months I would expect you to see some sign of improvement. If indeed this breast is not as soft as the other breast you may have developed some capsular contracture. Mild or early capsular sometimes can be managed without surgery. I would recommend follow up with your surgeon.
Cole011903, Generally speaking if you are downsizing on your breast implants then a lift is usually needed to achieve a youthful "perky" breast. Because of the tissue stretch with the larger implant the resulting laxity usually will require a lift. I your preference is a slightly ptotic or '"droopy" breast choose to avoid a lift procedure
Good morning, Congrats on the new baby! Breast augmentation revision may require a lift procedure so it is best to wait 3- 6 months to let the breasts "settle". If you proceed too soon, then you may still have swelling that appears to give the breasts more volume than you really have. If this is the case, once the swelling goes down you may have skin laxity that was not appreciated that may benefit from a lift procedure. Please be patient.
Depending on the amount and type of pain your experiencing a scar revision with removal of scar tissue may be the best option. If the scar has thickened around a nerve, this pain may be improved by removing the scar tissue. If the pain is simply from scar tissue then after another procedure you will form more scar tissue and likely will have the same problem, There are non surgical options that may help soften a scar (massage, compression, steroid infection). Certainly it is reasonable to try these options first before proceeding with more surgery.
