Pregnancy vs Voluma Filler, is it better to wait until the baby is born?

I am planning to insert Voluma to my face, but I am also planning to get pregnant within 6 months from now. Do you suggest to have that Voluma after my baby is born or its OK to have it now and then get pregnant.

If you’re not planning to get pregnant for at least six months, it should be fine to add Voluma to your face now. However, I wouldn’t recommend getting Voluma or any other nonessential treatment once you do become pregnant. Although there are no studies on the safety of Voluma during pregnancy, you wouldn’t want to take any unnecessary risks. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist now will determine if you are a good candidate for Voluma.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Treatment with Botox and fillers is avoided during pregnancy but is safe to have performed now, and will not increase any risk during pregnancy.  Hope this helps.

I think it would be fine to have a Voluma treatment now and get pregnant later.  You would just not want to have the Voluma treatment while you are pregnant or breast feeding.

It should be perfectly safe for you to receive Voluma if you are currently not pregnant.  It should not have any effect on your ability to conceive or cause any complications during pregnancy.  I would however recommend holding off any type of injectables once you are pregnant.

Most practitioners will recommend that you wait until after pregnancy or breastfeeding for injectables.  While there are no studies showing any evidence of harm, the possibility has not been completely ruled  out.  For this reason, I would recommend waiting just to be safe.
