I am 8 weeks after labiaplasty, and I have a big headache every time I look at the result. My labia is still very sensitive by touching. Is here a chance that the bumps will disappear or this is my final result?
Answer: I wish I could be more positive, bit... Hello "Maba," Although it takes 3+ months to appreciate the "final, long-term" results, I have been doing this kind of work (600 cases over 15 years...) long enough, and have performed enough revisions of poorly-performed work to know what will disappear and what will not. Your surgeon used larger-than-necessary caliber sutures and "oversewed" too tightly. I doubt that an experienced plastic of specially-trained Gyn did your work.. That said, what to do if anything..?You are the same lovely person you were prior to surgery. Your husband/lover/sexual partner will love you for who you are, not the exact size/shape of your labia. You are not "disfigured," and if you accomplished what you wished initially, if it was to "get rid of the extra, chafing, rubbing tissue for "functional" reasons, then, in my opinion, leave well enough alone! However, if cosmesis is an issue, you would be an excellent candidate for a skilled, well-experienced cosmetic Gyn or Plastic doc to revise your result to a relaticely smooth, less "bumpy" surface. Your "rules:" 1. Wait 'til 3-4 + months, and 2. Only use a surgeon who has done hundreds of procedures, and specializeds in "re-dos..."

CONTACT NOW Answer: Labiaplasty Results Show Bumps Your photos demonstrate swelling of the labia minora and distortion related to swelling. Sensitivity is usually temporary. This will improve over the next few weeks as healing progresses and will give a more accurate picture of the actual results of your recent surgery. Aside from the swelling, there is a noticeable gap on the left side near the front, and it appears that the back half of the labia on both sides were not treated. You might need a revision, but you should wait a few months for the healing to complete itself.

Answer: Bumps 8 week after labiaplasty Bumps can still be visible after 6 weeks in general but of course, this depends on the individual. Sensitivity is common as well. It does take several months to recover from surgery and you won't really see your 'final' result until about a year.In saying that, though I would recommend you contact your doctor. It is your body and your concerns are valid and should be addressed.

Answer: Bumps after labiaplasty Your bumps may improve somewhat but will not go away due to the technique used by your surgeon. As the inventor and innovator of the wedge technique in 1994, I reconstruct many women who have had labia reductions by other surgeons, both wedge and trimming techniques. No attempt to revise your labia should be done until you are at least five months after your past procedure as your appearance will improve, and the swelling will be less. You need to control your anxiety and wait. The reconstruction is more difficult than a primary labiaplasty and should be done by a plastic surgeon with extensive experience in labia reconstruction. I published the first and most extensive paper on labia reconstruction in the prestigious journal "Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" about two years ago. You may need various reconstructive techniques to give you a good appearance, but this won't be known until all the swelling is gone. I probably would recommend multiple wedge excisions which would eliminate most of your bumps and give you a much improved, and maybe totally normal, appearance.. You only get one good chance to reconstruct you, so be patient and ask a lot of questions.

Answer: It takes full three months for it all to settle down you seem a little swollen, still. Be patient and wait at least three months for everything to settle down. It is not unusual for this area to look like this while the swelling is still present.
