Laser Genesis works on your skin's surface. It does not penetrate deep enough to affect your sinuses. Hope this helps.
Laser Genesis can only have an effect on your skin within 1-2 millimeters, not deep enough to affect your sinuses. It helps build collagen in your skin, decrease large pores and capillaries, and altogether make you look younger over several treatments. I love this laser. It is generally very safe and my patients and nurses love it equally as much. Best of luck. Daniel Golshani, M.D., Beverly Hills.
Laser Genesis is a 1064 nm wavelength ND-YAG laser that is turned down low and treatment gives multiple pulses. It is designed to build collagen to shrink pores and efface scarring over time with several treatment sessions. Your sinuses are very deep beneath your facial bones. Even if the laser is turned up high (as we sometimes will do for laser hair removal or treating superficial pigments), it cannot penetrate or affect your sinuses.
Laser Genesis is a very superficial laser treatment only. It only goes into the upper skin layers and targets primarily red pigments and tiny veins/vessels. It has no ability to go to the sinus depth or affect your sinuses in any way. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion. In my practice, I try to stay away from these combination regimens, as cortisones are non-selective inhibitors of melanocytes. I would recommend my patients to start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for the pigmentation. I would start with an intense skin rejuvenation protocol for age spots that i...
Some lasers can induce breakouts in the skin. The non ablative lasers can often be combined with chemical peels to help reduce breakouts and skin reaction. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Chemical peels can be incorporated into your non ablative Yag treatment. In our practice, we often use combined treatments with chemical peels and Yag laser to help further define the skin. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Laser Genesis primarily has to do with joules (of energy), so the scale is from 1-10j with 10 being the highest. It's not appropriate to always crank it up to 10j for every patient though. That can be exceptionally dangerous. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and...
Laser Geneis is a great procedure -- it improves skin tone and texture without any down time, but it is not something that I would use on the eyes. Botox and/or fillers would probably be your best bet for improving this area non-surgically.
Any laser treatment, including Laser Genesis, can cause hair loss. However, Laser Genesis should not have been used close to your brow. With time, hopefully, the hair on your brow will return to normal. In the meantime, Latisse could possibly help.
