Laser genesis used on lower or upper eyelids?

Question

Just wondering if Laser Genesis can be used on lower or upper eyelids? Would like to treat lower lids for some lines/wrinkles, and I saw a before/after pic of laser genesis where it showed that the patient's upper eyelids had been raised a bit, supposedly from laser genesis. Is this possible?? Maybe treating the forehead with laser genesis raised the upper lids?? Please share your thoughts. Thanks.

Hi Ali.  Laser Genesis is not an "ablative" technology, which means there is no downtime for the procedures.  We do not know of any non-ablative lasers that can create a tightening of the eyelid although if it were to be viable, then radiofrequency rather than laser energy would likely be used.  We are familiar with Laser Genesis and not in agreement that it could help with tightening the eyelids.  If you are looking for that, you may wish to consider a surgical procedure or a "chemical browlift" using Botox or Dysport. Laser Geneis is a great procedure -- it improves skin tone and texture without any down time, but it is not something that I would use on the eyes. Botox and/or fillers would probably be your best bet for improving this area non-surgically.

I love Laser Genesis as a very effective treatment for improving skin quality, pore size, capillaries, and pigmentation. It even promotes collagen deposition and an even tone to the skin. But, I would avoid using the Laser Genesis on the upper and lower evelids to avoid complications. It is best to stay away from the eyelids. Laser genesis on the lateral brow and forehead areas has a nice effect which may include a bit of skin tightning over several treatments , although we can get the same result with a small amount of Botox in one treatment.

Laser Genesis should not be used within the orbital rim, which means it should not be used on the upper or lower eyelid. It wouldn't have the ability to tighten or raise the skin there anyway, as it targets discolorations and primarily red discolorations at that.
