Lipo incision looks like tattoo ink. What could these marks be and how can I remove them? (photo)

Over a month ago I got lipo and on two of my incisions (right hip and left hip) are what appears to be almost a tattoo-like scar. On my left hip the scar is a line, which I thought maybe could be from surgical marker -- but if that were the case, the line shouldn't run perpendicular to the incision scar. On my right hip, the black residue is more of just a dot. I reached out to my surgeon and he seems just as confused as me.
