Would a rhinoplasty help me achieve a more feminine nose and minimize the appearance of bumps on the side? (photos)

The "bumps" that you see are the edges of the nasal bones. Rhinoplasty surgery can be done to narrow these while doing very little to the tip of the nose. If you would like to achieve also a change in the profile, a reduction in projection of the bridge together with narrower appearance of the bridge from the front view would most likely require resetting also the nasal bones.

If you change the width of the nasal bridge, it may produce the impression that the nasal tip is slightly wide. In general, a significant number of these changes need to be integrated to produce the best results and segmental adjustments carry higher risks of undesirable outcome.

Yes, those bumps are from a small osteocartilaginous hump on the dorsum of the nose along with likely wide nasal bones. An in person exam with a board certified plastic or facial plastic surgeon will be able to tell. A formal rhinoplasty, either open or closed, can typically easily fix this . Your lower nose (i.e. the tip and alae) appear to be of good shape and proportion, so likely can perform a closed rhinoplasty in this case.

Hi @Madysonn. I recommend seeing a rhinoplasty specialist for an in person examination. There are several options for you that can be determined after examination. During surgery the area can be smoothed over with the help of piezo surgery and other techniques. Piezo surgery is a more gentle technique that allows for greater precision. Less bruising and swelling is common with Piezosurgery. In a typical rhinoplasty, a hammer and chisel technique is performed leading to more inadvertent fractures. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
