The bump appears to be the dome of your right lower lateral cartilage. That being said, you appear to have a saddle nose deformity - collapse of the middle 1/3 of your nose - which can occur from loss of cartilaginous septal support.See your rhinoplasty surgery for an evaluation.
Based on your limited photo, you appear to have a wide nasal appearance and a visible piece of cartilage that is called a bossa. Depending upon your desires, revision rhinoplasty may be considered for a narrower and less pointy nasal appearance. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph
Hello! Thank you for your question. From the photo you provided it looks like cartilage. I recommend you to get it checked with your surgeon.Best regards!
Hi @jc_s! I assume that its cartilage from a columellar strut graft that was placed. I recommend contacting your surgeon for an in person examination. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Good Afternoon! The bump can be a number of different things. The most likely is a prominent portion of native cartilage or a graft. In individuals with thinner skin, any imperfection in the cartilage can show-through. If the area were softer, I would suggest compressions and usage of steroid injections. If the area is cartilage, it will need to be shaved-down. Hope this helps!
It is not possible to tell for certain what the bump on the tip of your nose is, from the photo. It is probably cartilage, from a columellar strut graft, but it could be a bossa - the fold of the lower lateral cartilage at the dome.Your surgeon might be able to tell you what he/she thinks, since they know what sort of Rhinoplasty you had.
