Painful lump on nose 2 year after rhinoplasty - what can this be? (photo)

I started noticing a small lump on my nose after 3-4 months post rhinoplasty. Now, after 2 years and seeing if the lump has for certain healed and all swelling has gone down its still there. What can this possibly be and what could have went wrong in my rhinoplasty? I went back to my surgeon and he said he will not operate on me as its not noticeable. Offered me a discount on botox. However the lump is uncomfortable and painful.

Since your surgery was longer than 2 years ago, it is unlikely that there is persistent surgical swelling. If your surgeon used a foreign body in your nose, even non-absorbable sutures, rarely this may lead to nasal swelling that persists. Since it's fluctuating, your nasal swelling at this...

That said, fluctuations in the swelling of your nose maybe due to salt intake from your diet, or related to your menstrual cycle. If your surgeon used non-absorbable sutures or another foreign body in your nose, that would be another reason for persistent and intermittent swelling. Hope this...
