Cheek filler placement? Can Voluma be used lower in the face to fill it out? (Photo)

When you have a long thin face, HA fillers rarely give the lift that you need, even voluma.  It may be better for you to see someone who is a facial contouring expert and can use the right combination of fillers and laser to help lift and contour your face with maintaining your beauty and natural look.  I like sculptra with radiesse as the base and then voluma could be used for small areas of lift, but is very costly to do very large areas and I find it doesn't last as long as people think.  Do your homework and go to the best trained physician.  Find someone how uses cannulas like I do, as they can be used to limit swelling and bruising and re shape the whole face with only a few pokes.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Congrats, it looks like you had a great result from your Voluma treatment.  Voluma can certainly be used to round out the hollows in the mid/lower face and also to contour the jawline. I like to use micro-cannulas in these areas in order to minimize the risk of bruising.Good luck!

Yes, Voluma can be safely placed in the lower portions of the cheek to provide a fuller look.  However, if it should be placed in the lower cheek should be determined after an in-office evaluation and discussion on the overall look your have in mind.The attached link provides more information and a before and after picture.I hope this helps.

This is an off label use as Voluma is an ideal treatment for enhancement of the mid face. It works beautifully to correct malar fat descension and aging of the mid face and enhancing the appearance of age associated changes of cheekbones.

Voluma has four main injection zones V1-V4. The areas are the zygomatic arch, malar prominence, mid cheek and the sub zygomatic arch pre auricular region. Depending on were your volume was placed and how much was placed. It sounds that you can have the Volume injected in your pre auricular/sub zygomatic region to achieve your desired your appearance.Good luck!

The ideal facial shape is an upside down egg.  I wouldn't want to widen your lower face.  I think a little temple fullness would help.  Voluma is a filler that can be used in most areas of the face even though it is approved for the cheek area.
