Answer: Explant and hematoma drained Hello, thank you for your question. Yes, it is generally possible to have your breast implants removed (explant) and hematomas drained even if your implants have only been in place for a short period, such as 2 weeks. However, there are several important considerations and potential risks to keep in mind, especially when performing these procedures shortly after surgery. Please see the attached video to discuss your question. Yes, it is technically possible to have both your breast implants removed and a hematoma drained within 2 weeks of implantation. However, there are additional risks, such as infection, delayed healing, and increased swelling, which should be carefully considered. It's essential to work closely with your surgeon and make sure that the explant and hematoma drainage are performed by an experienced professional who can manage the potential complications. If you’re experiencing significant complications or are worried about the risk of infection or healing, it’s best to reach out to your surgeon immediately for advice and to discuss the best course of action.

Answer: Removal Yes, technically the implants could be removed with the hematoma, but I would advise only removing the hematoma. You were not happy with the size of your breasts before surgery and will not be happy once removed.

Answer: Is it possible to get a breast explant and hematomas drained if you have only had implants for 2 weeks? Hello @mkaykkay, thank you for your question. Surgical procedures should be evaluated based on the analysis or tests performed on the patient. The process of surgical explantation can be used if the patient has an acute inflammatory process which requires immediate explantation after undergoing a thorough analysis. However, if it is an inflammatory process and the doctor recommends something else because it puts her health at risk, the person should wait. To determine the best course of action, a personalized consultation is necessary, in which all aspects are considered. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez, MD FACS.
