HIi, I'm 38 years old and have been diagnosed with hashimotos I have had saline breast implants since I was 20 years old and would now like to remove them. I have been recently told that I have pvcs my heart is always palpitating It’s either beating really fast or feels really low there’s never no in between. I’ve been wanting to have breast explant and bbl yet am scared due to heart palpitations Awaiting cardiologist to be evaluated is this possible for me to do?
Answer: Removal If your cardiologist clears you for elective surgery, then you should be able to have surgery. If you are not cleared, your cardiologist will need to do further treatment to correct your PVC's. Many with Hashimoto's disease have food, especially dairy, allergies, and you need to be tested for this.

Answer: Heart health Safety is always the priority in surgery. You are doing the right thing by scheduling a visit with your cardiologist. She/He will determine if it is safe for you to consider surgery. If it is you can then meet with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss the procedures. If you are looking for an option with just the implants, you can consider having the saline implants deflated in the office. You may be a candidate to then later have the shells removed under local anesthesia.

Answer: Age 38, Pvcs and breast implant & BBL - is it possible for me to do? Hello @iiluvme11, thank you for your question. A personalized assessment of the process is necessary to have a surgical plan that takes into account a number of factors. This includes your health, what you expect and what you may be able to accomplish in the long run. Remember that prostheses need to be replaced every 10 years. To determine the best course of action, a personalized consultation is necessary, in which all aspects are considered. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez, MD FACS.

Answer: Breast implant & BBL Dear iiluvme11, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You will need to get a clearance form your cardiologist prior to surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Surgical candidacy You are taking the right steps by going your to see a cardiologist regarding your heart issues. Let the cardiologist do a complete work-up in order to get to the cause of your issue. Once the cardiac condition is diagnosed and managed I do not see any reason why you wouldn't be able to get your surgery. Also you need to make sure your thyroid condition is well controlled as well. Patients with medical issues can still get cosmetic procedures but those medical conditions need to be well controlled.
