Some Drs say it's been 2 years so it's safe. The filler is absorbable. Some refuse me. Will an MRI or ultrasound or dissolving the filler help to avoid complications. Is it safe for me to have a bbl or not. Thank you xx
Answer: I had 140 ml Hyaluronic Acid Genefill Buttock Fillers 2020 - can I still have a BBL? Hello @Sunnieday thank you for your question. A proper assessment is necessary to have an expert opinion. In theory if what you have in your buttocks is hyaluronic acid you can have your BBL, the thing is that hyaluronic acid reabsorbs a lot sooner than two years. For more information and recommendations consult one or more board-certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD FACS

Answer: BBL candidate Dear Attunun, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, if you had hyaluronic acid fillers then you should be able to get surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: BBL Dear Attunan, You should be fine to have a BBL. Much of the filler should be absorbed already and even if some is still present, the BBL should be performed under sterile conditions and avoid the muscle so little increased risks should be encountered. Best wishes. Dr. Taranow

Answer: Safe BBL: SCUBA Based on your pictures, you are an excellent candidate for a safe Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) also known as Safe California Ultrasound Buttock Augmentation (SCUBA). SCUBA allows for the safe transfer of fat by minimizing the risk of a potentially detrimental fat emboli and infiltration into your dissolvable filler. The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: BBL after HA fillers Hydraulic acid it is a natural occurring substance in our bodies so I don’t see why that would be a problem for doing a BBL. Professional work plastic surgeons typically want HA fillers to be dissolved so that fillers aren’t distorting what the face looks like without filler to help guide how much fat should be grafted. Two years after the fact I would imagine all of your HA filler is now gone. Each plastic surgeon has their own view but to me HA fillers are a non-issue. Other fillers can represent issues and for these I am much more conservative. This includes for example aqualyx or free silicone. You’ve included A picture. If that’s you then I don’t think you should bother having a BBL. Lastly, delivering consistent high-quality results with both Liposuction and fat transfer is more difficult than most people believe it. Unless you happen to find it someone who is truly talanted and experienced you’re likely to have contour irregularities from liposuction and other undesirable outcomes. Each doctor has a right to select patience and likewise patients have the right to select their doctor. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
