Could cryotherapy after BBL affect fat on my buttocks?

Question

I am 2 years post op (bbl) but i want to get cryotherapy treatment which entitles of temperatures of 200 below zero, will this burn any fat on my buttock or affect my bbl in anyway?

every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Your question needs a little more information for us to have a clear picture of what’s going on. Cryotherapy just means cold therapy.

The term is most commonly used for using a liquid nitrogen spraygun to remove skin lesions.

For doing this it should have no impact on the subtitaneous fat but if that is brought to a low enough temperature the fat cells will be destroyed and that is how cool sculpting works.

That is not something commonly seen when treating skin lesions.

Follow up with the provider doing the cryotherapy.

Hi and welcome to our forum!Cryotherapy is the use of extreme cold to freeze and destroy abnormal tissues. It is often used to treat common skin lesions as well as some malignancies such as cervical, bone, prostate, and liver cancer. It has only a local effect upon tissues to which the probe comes into contact.Unless the cryotherapy is performed on your buttocks, it will have no effect upon a previously performed BBL.
