The typical liposuction patient can go back to work in a week’s time, while wearing the compression garment for the first 4 to 6 weeks under your scrubs. I have observed that between 4 and 6 weeks the buttocks tend to stabilize in volume. (Initially, you may need larger size scrubs.) Usually by 3 months, the swelling is minimal and totally resolved by 6 months. Limit your salt consumption and drink no alcohol.
Hello @mdalle30 thank you for your question. This its a question that you need to ask your specialist. every practice is different and follow diverse protocols for postoperative care, that is an important part of the recuperation process. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD FACS
Dear mdalle30,I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Wearing of scrubs after 3 weeks following surgery is normal and won't affect your results. As long as you don't have any cuts, patients are encouraged to return to normal activity at 3 weeks. Please consider a consultation with a BBL specialist to get more insight.
Three weeks seems like a luxurious amount of time to recover after having liposuction and fat transfer. We typically tell patients that they need 5 to 7 days though they’ll still be a little sore after and may still have sitting restrictions if not using a BBL pillow.. People very and how they perceive recovery from surgery and some people feel three weeks is what they need while others are up doing things within a day or two.The recovery for this procedure really is not that bad. Intense to be worst in the morning when getting out of bed especially the first two or three days after which it gets better day by day and people typically feel better once they get moving throughout the day.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
Thanks for your question. From you pictures, you seem to be a good candidate for the BBL. For the BBL, the fat is transferred to the hip and buttocks area. You surgeon will consider you goals and what can be done for your anatomy. I recommend you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Make...
Hi and welcome to our forum!Your lateral view photo doesn't expose the buttocks. However, I note a large hanging abdominal pannus and a full abdomen. Your height and weight data place your BMI at 36.8, a bit on the high side. BMI, or body mass index (weight in kg / square of height in meters) is...
Thanks for the question. In this regard, I recommend you waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour. Finally, I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and...
