I had 4 syringes of Juvederm Voluma 2 weeks ago im my cheeks and there is no difference. After my injections I didn't have any type of swelling. I only had visible needle marks around my cheek area. I was told by the physician, who was clearly upset when I asked for the box to be opened in front of me, that it takes 2 weeks for the final results. I'm wondering what went wrong. I had Juvederm in the past and I looked fabulous for 2 years. Help!

There are times when results can be subtle but beautiful. When I have patients with concerns about their injections, I will review their before and after photos. The review of the photos are the only objective means to judge your results.Discuss your concerns with your injector and review your pictures. That will help you get the answers you are seeking. Answer: No Results After Voluma Hi Alison. It is correct that it can take up to 2 weeks to see the full results from Juvederm Voluma. However, if enough product was used then you should notice some difference immediately after the treatment. It is possible that you may need more than the 4 syringes you received. You should follow up with your injector to compare before and after photos to determine whether there was any difference. You can voice your concerns to your injector at that time also. Answer: No results is unusual Often result variation is technique dependent. It is highly unusual to have no results. Voluma is an ideal treatment for enhancement of the mid face. It works beautifully to correct malar fat descension and aging of the mid face. In some case it is been shown to last up to 2 years. It is not FDA approved for any other location other than mid face. It is a deep injection just off the bone and requires expertise in injecting. It should only be injected by a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. I would recommend you discuss your issue with a board certified dermatologist.
