I had 4 syringes of Juvederm Voluma 2 weeks ago im my cheeks and there is no difference. After my injections I didn't have any type of swelling. I only had visible needle marks around my cheek area. I was told by the physician, who was clearly upset when I asked for the box to be opened in front of me, that it takes 2 weeks for the final results. I'm wondering what went wrong. I had Juvederm in the past and I looked fabulous for 2 years. Help!

Answer: No results is unusual Often result variation is technique dependent. It is highly unusual to have no results. Voluma is an ideal treatment for enhancement of the mid face. It works beautifully to correct malar fat descension and aging of the mid face. In some case it is been shown to last up to 2 years. It is not FDA approved for any other location other than mid face. It is a deep injection just off the bone and requires expertise in injecting. It should only be injected by a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. I would recommend you discuss your issue with a board certified dermatologist.
