I got lip filler and it turned out uneven, and didnt look right. They put filler in the key hole area and not sides of upper lip. I went back and told showed them and they offered no help. Just said use a lip liner to help with the unevenness. I had told them before treatment I wanted a full top lip and my lip didnt even really look any filler with 2 syrgines of Juvederm Ultra and they just look bad. What should I do and what should they have to do?
Answer: Nonsurgical Lip Augmentation With Fillers Requires Experience & Attention To Appropriate Lip Proportions I am sorry you have had this experience. I do agree that you have had a less than optimal result from your treatment and that there is prominent unevenness. I typically suggest waiting a month following treatment to allow for any tissue edema from the treatment itself to resolve spontaneously. If it has been a month since your treatment then it would be reasonable to have the injected filler dissolved with hyaluronidase. Sorry. Ideal proportions in frontal view include the upper lips one-half the volume of the lower lips or put another way one-third the total volume of both lips together, and there should be a well defined vermilion border and white roll, as well as well-defined Cupid's bow and philtrum. Make sure that going forward that you are consulting with and receiving treatment by a board certified aesthetic physician and be cautious of medpa injectors and providers selling treatments by the syringe, rather than by the complete job. Also ask to see befores and afters before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Correcting lip asymmetry I am sorry you had a negative experience with your lip enhancement. I agree you have prominent asymmetry that needs to be addressed. However, residual swelling from lip fillers can last two or three weeks, so make sure you give your mouth ample time to heal before pursuing other avenues. At that point, I would schedule an appointment with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist that has extensive experience working with injectable treatments. You might need a hyaluronidase treatment to dissolve the results of your initial procedure entirely. If there is swelling that subsides considerably before your appointment, your doctor may be able to touch up the area to create the symmetry and proportion you want.

Answer: Unhappy with Lip Augmentation with HA-Based Injectable Fillers Like Juvederm, Volbella, Restylane -- Dissolve with Hyaluronidase Hi Tiffany. There can be some asymmetrical swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1 to 2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 minutes at a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If it has been more than 2 or 3 weeks since injection, then you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. I would highly recommend getting a formal evaluation with and treatment from a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and expert in facial sculpting. Technique is the key to a successful lip augmentation with fillers, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. An experienced physician will be able to determine which filler, how much filler, and which technique will give you the subtle result you're looking for. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Lip Filler Gone Bad Thank you for your question and picture. I agree this is not a good result. I would recommend having the filler dissolved with Hyaluronidase and starting over with a more experienced physician injector. Best wishes.

Answer: Lip filler turned out bad. Thank you for the question and photo. Since it is already two weeks I would recommend for you to go back to the injector to help dissolve some of the product for symmetry. Other option is to go to another injector and pay for a new syringe and achieve your desired results. Good luck.
