Answer: I had 1ml of Juvederm in my lips on Saturday Swelling and bruising are common after filler injections and can take up to two weeks to resolve. Intermittent icing, which you mentioned you are doing, is often helpful. Some patients find using Arnica and Bromelain supplements helpful as well.

Answer: Swelling After Lip Filler Injections Thanks for the question and photo. I appreciate your concern, but I assure you that swelling after filler injections is very common. When the injections are performed in the sensitive area of the mouth, the swelling can be even more prominent. If the ice is helping and you are slowly seeing improvement, I would guess the swelling will fully subside on its own within a matter of days. If it does not, I encourage you to schedule a follow-up with your injector for a full, in-person assessment to determine whether additional treatment is needed.

Answer: Swelling After Lip Fillers Following dermal filler treatment, lips tend to be the area which swells the most. It isn't uncommon for the swelling to last a few days, and the tight sensation is likely attributed to this. The good news is that you have noticed the swelling coming down, and it is something I would try not to worry about. The degree of swelling will vary from person to person and will also be affected by the type and quantity of filler administrated. At this stage I would advise you to avoid activities which will cause the blood vessels to dilate, such as exercising or drinking alcohol, as this may delay the reduction of swelling. If, however, the lips were to increase in size or change in colour at this stage, it would be advisable to see your injector for a review as soon as possible.

Answer: Juvederm lips Hi thank you for your question. Bruising and swelling can last up to 2 weeks. From your description and the photo it appears to be a normal reaction to the filler. However, if you are concerned or are experiencing any pain. It is important to follow up with your injector.
