I am very thankful for the honest and accurate referrals to Dr. Jessica Lattman. I was in dire need of an upper blepharoplasty and endoscopic browlift. I had been following Dr. Lattman’s Instagram page for a while based upon several friends’ recommendations. She was always described at the “go-to” doctor for upper blepharoplasty - and as per the “before and after” pictures, it was evident that her results were stellar. Additionally, a highly respected doctor from the Greenwich Ophthalmology Associates independently referred me to Dr. Lattman. I hadn’t had any experience with facial cosmetic surgery. From our first consultation to post-op, Dr. Lattman put me at ease, patiently explained the procedures, clearly answered my questions, and most importantly, gave me a superb result. Friends and family have uniformly told me that the results were significant and natural looking. Dr. Lattman partnered with Dr. Benjamin Paul, who performed the endoscopic browlift and I found them to make an excellent team. I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Lattman for anyone considering this procedure.
I had an upper bleph with Dr. Lattman nine weeks ago and I can't even begin to express how thrilled and relieved I am with the whole experience. This was my first surgery, and I am just so so grateful I chose Dr. Lattman. For years my upper and lower lids have really bothered me. I have allergies so my eyes are often swollen, which looks bad, but even without that, I am naturally pretty hooded. So when I smile, you can hardly see my eyes at all. My eyes used to be my best feature and I wanted them back! :) I booked a consultation with a local and notable plastic surgeon and booked my surgery date for an upper and lower. But it never felt right... I can't explain it. I was just uneasy. I felt like my questions weren't being answered fully, I felt rushed, and I just didn't have the confidence and security I desired or my first plastics experience (which is crucial!). I expressed my concerns and how I was quite frankly freaking out. They said I could come for the surgery date and see how I felt. Well the morning of the surgery was even worse!! The office, knowing how I felt, did nothing to acknowledge my fears, was dismissive, and it just made my gut scream loudly THIS AINT IT! So I told them I don't feel comfortable and cancelled the surgery. So then I started researching oculoplastic surgeons instead of just plastic surgeons. And thank god I did! Now I feel like going to a specialist is the only way to go. And obviously nothing is worth doing if you're not going to the best of the best... so... Paging Dr. Lattman!!! :) My whole experience with her and her entire team was a complete 180. I cannot stress that enough. During my consultation, I felt at ease and relaxed with her team, and Dr. Lattman was no exception. She has a tranquil and trustworthy demeanor, and on top of that is an absolute wealth of knowledge. She's as good as it gets in every category. She agreed I would benefit from an upper bleph, but didn't think I was ready for the lower. She didn't think there was enough skin to make a difference and that I should wait a few years. Which i respected! In the weeks leading up to my surgery, Dr. Lattman and her team were amazing with clear communication, prompt responses with any questions that popped up, explained exactly how the process was going to go, provided a healing and recovery plan which I really appreciated, and I didn't feel an ounce of nerves, only excitement and like i honestly couldn't wait. The surgery day was no different. I was comfortable, the team and Dr. Lattman were amazing per usual, the anesthesiologist was a gem (I forget his name... honestly i dont remember much about him because he put me to sleep lol but I do remember how friendly he was, made me laugh, and relaxed me in more ways than one!), and before I knew it, a nurse was telling me to open my eyes. :) I felt ZERO pain. Zero. I was up and talking and felt 100% like myself. If it wasn't for a mirror, I wouldn't have even believed I had anything done. I easily couldn't gotten myself home by myself, but per their requirements (just in case) I had someone pick me up. I took a Tylenol when I got home but I honestly didn't even need it. And I didn't take another one again! I felt great, slept great, and healing was a walk in the park! I stayed home for two full weeks because I didn't want to put any makeup on top of the incisions. Following those weeks, I put on a little concealer and wore my glasses and no one could tell anything. But the results are INSANE! It's subtle but WOW did it make a difference. My eyes are so much brighter and alive looking. I wish I did this years ago. And there is no one else I would trust more than Dr. Lattman. I really cannot recommend her enough! She is THE ONE.
I had some yellow discolorations around my eye removed. They had been plaguing me with anxiety and depression, and I had such absolutely hopeless feelings and found myself wanting to socially isolate in shame. It sounds rather unremarkable, if not emotionally outsized to the circumstances, but after researching further on the condition, I found that psychological distress is a very classic symptom of the condition. After going to three fully competent dermatologists, none of whom was able to treat or really have all the information I needed, I collected a set of referrals for oculofacial surgeons. I had 3 consultations from these referrals. One told me I'd need skin grafts and told me I'd have no skin left if they removed them, the second, who told me they could remove them easily, sought to charge an inordinate amount of money, and provided no context or further information about the condition or the procedure, and the third, Dr. Lattman immediately talked through the condition, provided all of the information on the procedure, affirmed my emotional symptoms, and quoted me fairly. She spoke confidently and professionally, offered insights and reassurance, and presented an overall positive outlook on this thing that had been a dark cloud over me for a year. Her staff were kind and supportive. On the day of the procedure, she was precise, confident, and left time to discuss all my followup questions. My procedure was done in the office, and my incisions were clean and small and the care very minimal. Her nurse met me a week later to remove the stitches - a day after Thanksgiving she came in to do this. I couldn't be more ecstatic with the results. Dr. Lattman did say that xanthelasma can come back or re-emerge, but that we can address it when/if it does. I feel like I have a guardian angel guiding me through what would otherwise have consumed years and years of my life, keeping me from avoiding social gatherings, feeling worthy of a spotlight, or just even a cute dress. Dr. Lattman is such good energy, caring, and meticulous. So grateful!!!
I see Dr. Lattman for Botox and would not go anywhere else! She is extremely knowledgeable about the muscles around the face as her specialty. Not only has Dr. Lattman taken great care of my Botox, she is lovely to speak with at every appointment. Her & her staff combine personal touches and always run on time!
If you are looking for the best, Dr. Lattman is the best. Not only is she an incredibly talented surgeon, she is an incredibly special person who cares about her patients as much as she cares about perfect results. Dr. L. performed both a lower and upper blepharoplasty for me. My only mistake was not doing them both at the same time. I was so blown away by the results from the upper that I finally, years later, was able to fit the lower bleph into my schedule and I am thrilled with the results. First, she is a brilliant doctor (and may I also say artist in the way she approaches surgery). I trust her implicitly. Second, she is a kind, caring, and empathetic person whose kindness shines through in everything she does. Surgery is always a journey. Dr. Lattman and her staff are attentive to their patients every step of the way. There were so many questions and fears I had. Dr. L. always took the time to answer and always made sure I was ok. Her staff is incredible. They share and emulate her kindness and caring and take their time, above and beyond, to care for their patients. Dr. Lattman is truly at the top of her game. We are lucky to have her right here in NYC.
My original surgery was scheduled on Feb 3, 2022, but because they discovered I suffered from high blood pressure it was postponed and Dr. Lattman made sure that was taken care of before she even contemplated doing my surgery, which I appreciated and which made me realized that she cares more about her patients than about the money she might be losing. We were finally able to get my surgery done on May 3, 2022 and all I can say is WOW! From the moment I arrived her staff made me feel so safe and comfortable and after surgery having a nurse with me for the first couple of days was the best decision I ever made (Dr. Lattman insists on a nurse first 24 hours but I extended it). Post-op appointments were always comfortable and Dr. Lattman and he staff are always so encouraging and make you feel so comfortable that I'm going to really miss going over to the office once I'm done with all my post-op. I can't say enough good things about her and her staff. I would need several pages to list every single thing I loved about having my blepharoplasty with Dr. Lattman. Would recommend her 1000% Wish she did other things and not just eyes (I know she does other things but unfortunately not what I need at the moment LOL)
Dr. Lattman was really great. She understood exactly what I wanted from my eyelid procedure, and recovery was smooth sailing. I didn't even need any painkillers, and from day one after surgery I could tell that the results would be perfect. A few months later, and the scar is totally invisible.
No apologies for wanting to do something just for myself and having the gift of choosing the only person I’d trust for such delicate work. My choice was easy and the procedure, beginning to end, painless and perfection. Dr. Lattman listened to what I wished to see in the mirror, 24/7/365, and delivered exactly that. She helped me to smile effortlessly at the mirror, after nearly a decade of having stood stone faced and critical, immediately after the surgery. She skillfully maintained the integrity of the shape of my eyes while ridding of genetic bags and a look of lack of sleep. I awakened looking refreshed and the progress continues to surface one week later. Both the nursing staff in the office and the private duty ones are tribute to the team she has built. They are safety minded, confident, gentle, personable and detailed in their protocol. A personal visit, the morning after, was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend a consultation and serious consideration as to allowing yourself to smile from the inside out.
I have searched and reviewed many doctors while looking at many before and after photos, and finally found Dr Lattman. I had surgery 2 weeks ago on my eyelids. I wanted a subtle and natural look and when I met with her and her staff she promised me that she will do exactly that and she did. I went to dinner last night and was able to wear mascara and my friends could not believe how natural they look . The healing process was so smooth with her excellent staff guiding me before and after surgery. I would highly recommend Dr Lattman and her staff for her amazing and professional service she has given me. I am 61 years young and am very happy that I finally did it. I will post some before and after in a few weeks. Gemma A
Dr. Lattman and her staff made me feel so comfortable from the onset of the process. I considered for years having the surgery, and my concerns became heightened when the pandemic necessitated video conferences and I was self-conscious about my appearance- looking tired and having clients infer I was "fatigued". I had the surgery and could see the difference right away even through the bruising and healing - I looked like a much better version of myself. I felt confident that Dr. Lattman was listening to me, and that I understood the outcome I could achieve. Would definitely recommend the her if you are considering this surgery.
In my opinion, endoscopic brow lift, when done well, is far superior to a direct browpexy. It is more natural and gives a longer result. In my experience endoscopic brow lifts on men can be extremely rewarding for the patients.
Thank you for your photo and question. Brows are best examined in person, however going just from your photos I do think that you would be a good candidate for an endoscopic brow lift.I would suggest a consultation to fully evaluate the upper eyelids and brow and also how you are using the muscles around them.
Thank you for your question and photo. It is difficult to evaluate brow position from a photo. Three different facial muscles can affect brow height, and sometimes uneven brows are from uneven activation of these muscles.I would suggest a consultation so that your brows can be fully evaluated.
Thank you for your question. In my experience I do not remove skin during an endoscopic brow lift. With my surgical technique I am able to raise the temporal brow in a natural and long lasting way without having to remove skin.
Thank you for your question and photos, After reviewing your photos I would suggest an upper lid blepharoplasty combined with botox to help raise the brows. You do have a long forehead so an endoscopic brow lift is not a great choice. But you could achieve a refreshed look by removing some of the heavy skin from the upper lid and using botox to lift the brow.
