I got Juvederm filler placed in my tear trough/ under eye area to correct hollowness. It was my first time getting filler, and I was injected with about 1.5 syringes. I was very bruised and swollen for a week. I used Arnicare twice daily. It's been two weeks now and I am very disappointed. It is now obvious that I was VERY overfilled and now have big bags. I look a million times worse than before I got this procedure. I want the doctor to dissolve it and give me a refund. Is that reasonable?
Answer: Juvederm Under Eyes Gone Wrong Juvederm is a great filler, but it's not the best choice for the under eye area for exactly the same reason you are experiencing. Luckily, you can have the filler dissolved with Hyaluronidase. It may take a few sessions. Whether you can get a refund is a conversation you need to have with your injecting physician. Best wishes.

Answer: Improving Under Eye / Tear Trough with Injectable Fillers (Belotero, Volbella, Restylane Silk) -- add Lasers, Microneedling/PRP Hi Kristen, I'm sorry to hear about your disappointing under eye experience. Whether you obtain a refund or not is between you and your physician. That being said, if you're unhappy with the results, you can certainly dissolve the filler with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time.Fillers like Belotero, Volbella, and Restylane Silk are good for improving under the eyes, but keep in mind that a combination approach will give the most improvement. My patients try to get non-surgical treatments to avoid surgery, so we use fillers, lasers, microneedling/PRP and stem cells. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for you. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Juvederm in tear trough Juvederm is one of the HA fillers that attracts a lot of water - so can create swelling. This may be good if someone wants big lips, but is not good in the tear trough as it can create this sort of long term edema. For this reason Juvederm is not a good choice for the tear trough. Better choices are Restylane and Belotero. I would ask your doctor to dissolve this. If you have a good relationship with them you could have some Restylane injected. If you want to go elsewhere, you could ask for a refund. Some people may give it to you, others may not.

Answer: Undereye filler Hello,I am sorry about your experience! First, I would not use Juvederm for tear troughs. It is way too thick for the delicate undereye area. I typically use Restylane. Luckily, your filler is reversible and I would absolutely recommend getting it reversed. I personally would find a different doctor - board certified - to do that. It wouldn't hurt to ask for a refund, especially if you are having to pay someone else to reverse it.Best of luck!BH

Answer: Eye bags after injections of fillers in tear trough Hi Kristen, thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear you are not happy with your results. Whether you can a refund or not is a conversation you'll have to have with your injector. But to reassure you, fillers are reversible and can be diluted if your tear troughs are over corrected. Tear troughs are a very delicate area to inject because it is the area where water retention is the highest in the face, so your immediate results are not necessarily representative of your final results. The water retention can over fill the area even if the injector under corrected the area to leave room for water retention. We can always correct this if it happens with hyaluronidase, which will dilute the excess of product. I recommend you schedule a follow up appointment to discuss this with your injector. Best of luck!
