I am 2 years post op and as you can see, one side of my nose is extremely different from the other. This really bothers me quite a lot and I'm going to see my surgeon again in a few months. I don't fully understand why my nose looks like this but I absolutely hate it and it's giving me a lot of stress and insecurity. I don't want to insult my surgeon but I really don't like my nose, I feel so ugly and discouraged. I'm not sure what's possible to fix this due to having thick skin.

Thank you for your question.I have evaluated your case regarding the information and photos you provided.Your tip is very droopy, and as you said it is more visible from one side than the other. It also looks like polly beak deformity. I highly recommend you a revision surgery. You may need rib cartilage reconstruction since it is a revision surgery. But don't worry it is fixable.

The best thing to do would be to see a few surgeons that do a lot of revision rhinoplasty, whose photos you like, to see if you would be a good candidate to make a change. It may not be possible to make your nose look exactly the same on each side, but the tip should be able to be made smaller and less droopy.

Revision rhinoplasty is more difficult than a primary rhinoplasty, so make sure your surgeon is well-versed with the procedure and produces lots of natural results. You also appear to have thick skin in the tip of the nose which is going to require multiple steroid shots during your follow-up visits for the first several months after the procedure. This will help prevent what's called a poly beak. Make appointments for three busy rhinoplasty surgeons in your area and get three opinions about how best to proceed.
