Is it a bad idea to get a rhinoplasty and facelift in one procedure?

Question

I am planning on doing revision rhinoplasty and temporal +midface lift. I've seen few surgeons and most of them and most of them advice against performing facelift and rhinoplasty in one procedure. One of the doctors did agree to do it in one procedure. Can you please give me an advice ? The main reason why I want to do it in one procedure is because I want to "fall out" of work ( waste my precious PTO lol) and social life only once instead of two times

Hi there,We commonly do perform combined procedures in face. Blepharoplasties, fat transfers, lip lifts, face lifs are the most combined procedures with rhinoplsty on the face. Thus you dont need to worry about perfoming them at a time unless you have very much to do with your nose like rib cartilge usage or any other thing that complicates your revision rhinoplasty. Hello! Thank you for your question.It is possible to combine facelift and rhinoplasty procedure in one surgery. The healing would of course be a little longer but you will have get it all done under only one general anesthesia. For this kind of combination, please make sure to go for it with an experienced doctor, who has done this kind of combination before.

In my practice that combination is done routinely, with the advantage of one recovery.  One issue for some surgeons may be the length of surgery.  Ideally elective surgery should be limited to 5 hours or so.  Very prolonged procedures increase the risk.

In our practice, we performed the combination a facelift and rhinoplasty frequently. The reason we do this because patients undergo one anesthesia with one recovery period and are back to work at two weeks. A full set of facial and nasal photographs are required make a determination about being a candidate for both procedures.
