How to repair the loose skin after lipo that was used for BBL? (photos)

Question

When I stand up my stomach looks flat and firm. However, when I lean over when being intimate, using the restroom or working out the skin looks flabby, old and wrinkled. I have followed all doctor's orders and have completed 6 sessions of radio frequency and nothing. What else can be done? I feel embarrassed being intimate because this is the POV of my partner (see photos) I was never like this!

MariahYou have an excellent result however I appreciate your concern and frustration. First question, how long postop are you? It can take as long as six months for all swelling to resolve and skin contraction to occur. Unfortunately your redundant skin is above the umbilicus and mini tummytuck is really not an option for you.  Try to stay patient and positive and enjoy your result, because overall it is excellent!

Based on your photos I was curious how far out you are from your initial operation. It may take upwards of 3-6 months of rth swelling to resolve and see how much skin laxity will remain. Based on your photos now you have redundant skin in your upper abdomen. Unfortunately a mini tummy tuck only addresses skin laxity in the lower abdomen. For skin laxity in the upper abdomen your options are a full tummy tuck and reverse tummy tuck. The full tummy tuck would be a challenge because you have minimal overall laxity and may result in a vertical scar. the reverse tummy tuck addresses upper abdominal skin laxity though will result in an incision along the IMF of the breast area.

Hi Mariah, congrats on a great result! Skin tightening through microneedling with radiofrequency is a great nonsurgical skin tightening option. As far as more invasive options go, Renuvion (J-plasma) gives the most tightening and would help with the overall appearance. Hello,I'm sorry you wasted money on technology that is much hyped but lacking any clinical evidence as being effective in truly tightening skin. You look like an ideal candidate for some sort of skin removing procedure, aka tummy tuck, but skin only. A physical exam would confirm whether a limited or modified version would be sufficient ('mini-tuck'). Go visit a few ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeons with a decade or two of experience in body contouring. Best of luck!

Thank you for your question and photos. You have a nice shape after the liposuction, but your skin did not tighten up as expected. I would recommend Renuvion, J-Plasma, treatment of the abdominal skin. This can be done through the same small incisions you had for your liposuction. I think the result is great. You need a little extra skin to compensate when you naturally stretch the skin upon your extension of your torso. Without it you wouldn’t be able to stand tall. Congratulations on an excellent result!!
